Bachmann, who played for Chelsea from 2017 to 2020, sustained the injury during a training session on June 11.
The former WSL ace had no physical contact with any other player in the moment during which her knee was damaged.
According to the Swiss football federation tests carried out earlier today revealed Bachmann had suffered an ACL injury.
The forward, who has 153 senior international caps, is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines
Bachmann, who has scored 60 goals for Switzerland, said: I am deeply saddened that I will miss the Euro, especially here in Switzerland.
'This tournament was a big goal for me, and I have given everything over the past few months to be ready for it".
Switzerland will face Norway in their Euros opener in Basel on July 2 before clashes with their other Group A rivals Finland and Iceland.
Head coach Pia Sundhage is yet to name her squad for the contest with Arsenal midfielder Lia Walti and Aston Villa's Noelle Maritz likely to make the cut.
In 2023 Bachmann was part of the Switzerland side that reached the World Cup's last 16 two years ago before being knocked out by eventual contest winners Spain.

The forward, who began her club career 19 years ago with Swiss side SC Luwin, played her first senior Switzerland game at 16 when the team faced Sweden.
During a club career that has included stints with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Wolfsburg, the forward has won 19 major trophies.
This includes two WSL titles and an FA Cup and a League Cup with the Blues under their former boss Emma Hayes.

Chelsea offered chance to sign Manchester United transfer target for £45m
Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Manchester United transfer target Emiliano Martinez for £45million. The Aston Villa goalkeeper looks set to leave this summer after five years with the Midlands club. Unai Emery is reluctant to lose the Argentina international but Villa could be forced into a sale in order to meet PSR, according to The Mirror. Chelsea have chopped and changed goalkeepers over the course of the last few years but are no closer to establishing a No.1. Robert Sanchez has flattered to deceive since his move from Brighton and has lost his place in the side under both Mauricio Pochettino and Enzo Maresca. Djordje Petrovic impressed briefly stepping in for Sanchez under Pochettino but was loaned out to Strasbourg last season and is likely to complete a permanent move to the French club. Chelsea spent £24m on Filip Jorgensen 12 months ago, but he too has been unable to convince Maresca he is worthy of becoming the No.1. United's plans for their goalkeeping department remain unclear, meanwhile, with Andre Onana's future a matter of speculation. The Cameroon international joined from Inter two years ago for a fee of close to £50m but he has proved an inadequate successor to David de Gea. A string of high-profile errors has seen United lose faith in the 29-year-old who has been heavily linked with a move. 'Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!' Onana said, according Actu Cameroun, earlier this month with Monaco the latest club to be linked to his services. United are reported to believe that Martinz would favour a move to Old Trafford but Ruben Amorim's priorities reportedly lie elsewhere. The Red Devils have already recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are locked in negotiations with Brentford over the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo. United would also want at least £35m for Onana which has opened the door for Chelsea to make their move. Villa, for their part, are eyeing up a mvoe for Royal Antwerp's Senne Lammens, but there are a number of other clubs tracking the 22-year-old, including United. Forgotten Chelsea man could make dream transfer move after losing squad number
Chelsea spent £45million on Joao Felix less than a year ago but the forward was loaned out to AC Milan for the second half of last season and he appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge Chelsea flop Joao Felix could be offered a homecoming to Benfica after being stripped of his squad number at Stamford Bridge. Felix, 25, was loaned out to AC Milan for the second half of last season, scoring just three goals in 21 appearances. Milan have no interest in signing the Portugal international on a permanent basis, with Chelsea having paid a cool £45million for him last summer. After being left out of Enzo Maresca's 28-man squad for the Club World Cup in the USA and losing his No. 14 squad number to new signing Dario Essugo, Felix finds himself searching for a new club. At Benfica, the forward could go back to where it all started before he was sold to Atletico Madrid for an eye-watering £113m in 2019. It was in Madrid where his career began to spiral, having been one of the most coveted talents in world football as a teenager. Benfica are now willing to offer him a return, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola. It's said that the Primeira Liga giants are weighing up a €31m (£26.5m) bid. But agreeing a transfer fee is just one part of the equation. Felix still has a massive six years remaining on his Chelsea contract which reportedly sees him earn £130,000 per week. Face-to-face negotiations could take place as soon as Saturday evening, as Chelsea face Benfica in the last 16 of Club World Cup. Felix was somewhat of a silver lining for Chelsea during his loan spell in the second half of the 2022-23 season, playing under Graham Potter and latterly Frank Lampard, as the Blues endured a nightmare campaign. Following his move to Milan in February, it was suggested that Maresca wasn't fully behind his return to Stamford Bridge. But the Blues boss was clear when asked directly if he wanted to sign 25-year-old. "Absolutely yes, if Joao was here it's because I wanted to sign Joao," Maresca stated. "I don't know about the future, it's complicated to talk about the future. "For me, it's just about now and the reason why Joao left is because of his desire is to get more minutes. Here, since we started, he struggled to get minutes, and he wants to leave because he wants to play more minutes, it's no more than that." Chelsea could land huge transfer windfall from big-money Liverpool deal
Liverpool's summer spending spree is set to continue but their latest big-money move could also bring a tidy financial benefit for their fellow Premier League side Chelsea Liverpool's move for Marc Guehi could have a knock-on effect for Premier League rivals Chelsea. Mirror Football understands the Blues included a 20 percent sell-on clause when they allowed Guehi to join current club Crystal Palace, meaning an Anfield switch would net them a tidy sum. Guehi is expected to leave Palace this summer rather than leave for a free when his contract expires in 2026. A move to Anfield would see Premier League champions Liverpool continue a spending spree which has already gone past £200million. More than half of that sum can be attributed to the British record move for Florian Wirtz. Arne Slot's side have also added to their back line, with Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong on board, while Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold are among those to have departed. Palace, who paid £18m for Guehi in 2021, value the centre-back at around £70m. Liverpool are unlikely to go that high, with a £40m sum suggested as a more likely middle-ground, and this would still see Chelsea net £8m. A move for Guehi could also allow Liverpool to approve an exit for Jarell Quansah. The academy graduate, who played 25 times in all competitions, has been linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen. A windfall for Chelsea could allow them to make further additions to the squad this summer. They have already been busy, getting deals over the line in time for their Club World Cup campaign in the United States. Liam Delap, Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr all joined in time for the tournament, as did Mike Penders after a deal for the keeper was agreed last year. Enzo Maresca's side opted against a move for loanee Jadon Sancho, though, paying a penalty fee to send the winger back to Manchester United. Chelsea finished second in their Club World Cup group and are due to face Benfica in the round of 16. The Portuguese club topped their group after a win over Bayern Munich, and Maresca is keen not to underestimate them. "Now we're in a knockout game and in a knockout game anything can happen," he told reporters. "That is not just for us, it's for every club, and the players are aware that at this moment the team that makes the most mistakes will be the team that are back home the day after. "The most important thing is the way we prepare ourselves. It's very complicated at this moment, for many reasons, to see games where the difference between the two teams is big. They are more or less very close, and it's a game where the details are going to make the difference." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
