At 59, Milind Soman continues to age backwards: His simple, doable diet and fitness routine REVEALED
He recently participated in the "#FitIndianRun" initiative, and has shared updates on social media. Let's take a look at his diet and fitness regime (and how you can adapt it too)
Fitness routine
Milind is well known for his endurance activities. For example, as part of the ""#FitIndianRun" initiative", he covered 330 kilometers in just three days by walking and cycling, which included rough terrain and uneven roads. He later said that the route was extremely "strenuous" that tested his physical and mental limits, but he felt "amazing" when he was able to push through it.
When it comes to daily exercise, Soman likes running, cycling, and walking, which are low-impact exercises that improve cardiovascular health and overall fitness. Milind believes in listening to his body and not overdoing it, as his aim to stay fit, not lose weight. Soman has often admitted he is not a fan of the gym, and is often seen on the streets running, or even walking with his wife Ankita Konwar.
Daily exercise
Every day, Milind includes some form of physical activity, preferably outdoors.

It could be anything from a long run, a cycling session, or a brisk walk. Soman also practices yoga, which helps with flexibility and mental peace, amidst the hustle bustle of life.
Diet
Milind follows a simple and clean diet, and stays aways from fads and mindless eating or extreme dieting. He believes in eating natural and unprocessed foods. His meals mainly consist of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains. He avoids junk food and anything that is overly processed, or store bought.
The actor starts his day by drinking half a litre of water. Around 10 a.m., he has breakfast, which includes nuts and a variety of seasonal fruits like papaya and melon.
For lunch, usually at 2 p.m., he eats rice or chapatis with dal and plenty of fresh, local vegetables. He also adds two teaspoons of homemade ghee to his meals. Although he mostly follows a vegetarian diet, he sometimes eats a small amount of chicken, mutton, or eggs, but only about once a month.
When it comes to snacks, he prefers to keep it light with a cup of black tea sweetened with jaggery. Dinner is early, around pm, and includes plenty of vegetables or some khichdi. Milind avoids processed foods and drinks alcohol rarely, only once or twice a year.
Key takeaways from Soman's routine
Consistency is key: Milind exercises daily, and not as a means to weight loss. It is part of his routine, just like eating and sleeping
Clean eating: He eats mostly fresh, unprocessed foods and stays hydrated.
Basically he eats local, unprocessed food daily.
Balance: His diet includes a good mix of carbs, proteins, and fats. However, he does not overdo anything, nor is obsessive about food.
Mindful eating: Milind practices mindful eating, and does not indulge in anything that is not good for his body.
Rest and recovery: Soman makes sure that proper sleep and rest days are part of his plan.
Positive mindset: Milind treats fitness as a lifestyle, rather than an end goal.

Setback for Saif & family over 15,000 crore ancestral property as HC orders retrial
Saif Ali Khan (PTI photo) JABALPUR: In a setback to actor Saif Ali Khan and his family, who inherited Rs 15,000 crore properties owned by Bhopal's erstwhile rulers, Madhya Pradesh HC has set aside the trial court's verdict given over two decades ago, and ordered a retrial in the case. In its order passed on June 30, the single bench of HC of Justice Sanjay Dwivedi set aside the judgment and decree of the trial court which upheld Pataudis (Saif Ali Khan, his mother Sharmila Tagore and his two sisters Soha and Saba) to be the owners of the properties. It also directed the trial court to make all possible efforts to conclude and decide the matter within one year. Nawab Hamidullah was the last ruling Nawab of the princely state of Bhopal. He and his wife Maimoona Sultan had three daughters - Abida, Sajida and Rabia. Sajida married Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and became the Nawab Begum of Bhopal. Their son, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, former Indian cricket team skipper married Sharmila Tagore. After Nawab Hamidullah's eldest daughter Abida migrated to Pakistan, Sajida became the owner of the properties. Later, her son Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi (Tiger Pataudi, who married Sharmila Tagore) became the successor of these properties estimated to be valued at nearly Rs 15,000 crore, which were inherited by Saif Ali and his siblings. In their pleas, they stated that the Bhopal district court's judgment and decree dated Feb 14, 2000 dismissed their suits unfairly. Their lawyers pleaded that the partition of his (Nawab's) personal property should have been done between them and defendants Saif Ali, Sharmila and 16 other heirs as per the Muslim Personal Law. The appellants opposed the defendants (Pataudis) for citing the certificate issued by the Govt of India on Jan 10, 1962 in favour of Sajida Begum as the sole successor of all the private properties. Justice Dwivedi said, "The matters are remanded back to the trial court for deciding it afresh." "And if so required, the trial court can allow the parties to lead further evidence in view of the subsequent development and changed legal position," the court ordered.
