James Martin rages after thieves smash up car in broad daylight
The 52-year-old announced this on Instagram when he shared a photo of his car, which had a huge hole in the windshield
'So in a week two of my friends cars got stolen,' he captioned the post.
'One other mate got mugged and now I had this happen all in broad daylight all in central London. London is broken big time'
The ITV star then joked that next time he's going to bring his dogs to deal with thieves.
James did not reveal what, if anything, had been stolen during the incident.
After sharing what had happened on his miserable morning, fans rallied round the star, sharing kind words on the post.
Joanne Lokwiya wrote, 'So sorry this has happened to you. The whole of the UK is the same, the laws need to change and we need more police on the streets'.
'This is so sad, what once was an incredible capital city is now a centre for crime, ' added Sarah O'Sullivan.
Catherine Evans, meanwhile, said, 'This is so sad, what once was an incredible capital city is now a centre for crime'.
James is well known for his love of cars and owns an impressive collection, which is reportedly worth an estimated £5 million.
Despite owning more vehicles than some car showrooms – including chef Keith Floyd's Citroën 2CV, rally driver Paddy Hopkirk's Minis, and a 1988 Drophead Bentley – his favourite is the relatively unassuming Toyota Hilux.
That said, despite adoring the car presenter admitted to SL.Man that had put a target on his back when he's with his motoring mates.
'I've got a Toyota Hilux pickup truck that I absolutely love – you can chuck everything in it and it will go forever,' he explained. More Trending
'All my mates take the mick: 'So you've got all these cars, but you drive around in a pick-up truck?''
Fans of Top Gear will remember the Hilux as the indestructible car that even the combined chaotic might of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond couldn't destroy.

Iconic cafe serving the 'best full English breakfast' in London has been saved
London's most famous greasy spoon which has starred in film and TV has reopened to hungry visitors. The Regency Cafe in Westminster claimed to sell the 'best English breakfast in London' after opening in 1946. Fans of the cheap fry ups and old school service feared the caff would be gone forever after it closed in December 2024 when its owners put the business up for sale. But after just two days of viewings, the Regency Cafe was snapped up by new owners Fevzi and Zafer Gungor. Christie & Co confirmed to Metro that the sale was completed on Tuesday, with the kitchen serving customers again the same day. The new bosses, who own dozens of eateries in the capital, want to add a new flavour to the famous venue, by introducing a line of merchandise and expanding overseas. Fevzi Gungor said: 'I'm honoured to take over such a historic and much-loved institution. As someone born in Turkey and raised in White City, West London, my journey started humbly – delivering newspapers at 13 before school – and I've never looked back. 'My aim isn't to change what people already love about Regency Café, but to enhance it – extending opening hours, refreshing equipment, strengthening our social media presence, and introducing merchandise that captures the spirit of this iconic spot. 'We're also exploring partnerships with major British brands for co-branded sauces, beans, and more. 'We may look at expanding the kitchen to cater for Halal dining, reflecting the diverse communities and tourists we serve, including many from the Arab Peninsula. 'In time, I'd love to see the Regency name in key global cities – Amsterdam, Berlin, Istanbul, Dubai – but our immediate focus is on Regency Street.' Regency Cafe has played a starring role in a string of TV shows and films set in London. More Trending It has featured in the crime thriller Layer Cake (2004), which starred Daniel Craig before he was cast as James Bond. The famous fry ups also made an appearance in Oscar nominated films Pride (2014), which followed the efforts of London LGBTQ+'s community to support striking miners in the 1980s, and Elton John biopic Rocketman (2019), The business was sold to the pair at an undisclosed price, but it was originally listed for £170,000 through Christie & Co. Cain consumed with grief in Emmerdale as he devastates Moira with cruel move
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) hurt Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) in tonight's episode of Emmerdale, following a major development about Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) killer. Yesterday, DS Walsh told Cain and Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) that Owen Michaels (Simon Haines) had confessed to killing Nate. Understandably, the news knocked them both. Not only did they have to try and deal with the fact Nate's murderer had been found, but they also had to try and come to terms with the fact a complete stranger was responsible for his death. We know of course, that none of this is true. Last Friday, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) found Owen unconscious in his house. With knowledge that Cain and Tracy were desperate for closure, John left Owen to die and then wrote a note on his laptop, saying that he killed Nate. He believed that it would help Cain and Tracy with moving forward – but it just made things even worse. At Butlers Farm, Moira found Cain at the table. It was early morning, but Cain had been sat there for ages after struggling to sleep. Playing on his mind was the fact he will now never get a chance to confront Owen about Nate's murder. Moira attempted to make Cain feel better by reminding him that she knows exactly what it's like to lose a child. Unfortunately, a grieving Cain told Moira that the aftermath of Holly Barton's death isn't the same as Nate's, because she 'did that to herself'. Ouch. Cain spent the day consumed with negative emotion over the lack of closure regarding Nate. As John's guilt increased, Cain attempted to learn more about the sort of person Owen was from Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson). Liam had been visiting Owen as his doctor, but refused to tell Cain anything that would breach patient confidentiality. This left Cain incredibly annoyed and it led to him grabbing his best friend. Sent away from the pub, Cain took himself off for a walk to clear his head. He ended up back at Butlers Farm where he found Moira feeding some cows. More Trending Cain apologised to Moira and they hugged, with Moira being understanding of the situation Cain is currently in. As he left, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) arrived. Topic of conversation turned to Owen and when Moira mentioned him planting Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse, Robert was astounded. He found it incredibly odd that Owen would risk getting caught by heading to the place Nate lived – and will soon get very close indeed to the truth about Nate. A man remains in serious condition with gunshot injuries after police arrived during the killings in the Drummeer Road area of Maguiresbridge. Sign up for all of the latest stories Start your day informed with Metro's News Updates newsletter or get Breaking News alerts the moment it happens. Police are probing a triple murder and attempted suicide line of inquiry. Police said the three victims are a woman aged in her 40s and two children, one male and one female, however their ages have not yet been confirmed. Mr McGowan said that the suspect has a 'limited footprint' with police. Speaking in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, Mr McGowan said that two people were pronounced dead at the scene while a third person died in hospital on Wednesday afternoon. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received a 999 call at 8.21am on Wednesday and dispatched three emergency ambulances, one rapid response paramedic, two ambulance officers and an ambulance doctor to the scene. Mr McGowan said: 'Earlier this morning, police received a report of an incident in Maguiresbridge. 'Officers, along with their colleagues in the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, attended a house in the Drummeer Road area. 'Tragically, despite best medical efforts, two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Sadly, I can confirm that a third person has this afternoon passed away in hospital. 'The fourth person, who was taken to hospital, remains in a condition described as serious. 'All four had sustained gunshot wounds and I can confirm that all four individuals are from the same household.' Mr McGowan said the shooting was ongoing when police arrived at the scene on Wednesday morning. 'It just happened prior to police attending, so, as you can appreciate, it's a very harrowing scene for all involved,' he told reporters. 'So, not only police officers, but colleagues in the ambulance service, and family members. Without going into detail, it's a very harrowing scene for anybody to attend.' He added: 'There is limited domestic history involving the people concerned and that is certainly one line of inquiry that the detectives will take forward.' He said the alarm was raised by a phone call made from the house where the incident was taking place. 'I am keen first and foremost to express my sympathy to the family members and loved ones who are today left in total shock and who will struggle to come to terms with their unimaginable loss,' he added. 'Detectives have now commenced a murder investigation and are working at pace to determine the circumstances. 'This is a quiet rural location and I'm aware that this tragic event will have sent shockwaves of sadness throughout the community.' The local Gaelic football club said those who died in the tragedy were all 'active and beloved' members of the club. 'St Mary's Maguiresbridge GFC offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those impacted by the tragic incident which happened in our community this morning,' it said in a statement on Facebook. 'We are working with the GAA at county, provincial and national level, to implement the Association's critical incident protocols. 'We will work closely with all appropriate services to ensure that those who require support at this difficult time can access it.' Northern Ireland First Minister Michelle O'Neill said she was 'absolutely heartbroken' at the news. 'My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the local community,' she said on the social media site X. 'I have no doubt that the people of Maguiresbridge will come together and support one another through this incredibly difficult time.' Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly said it was 'truly devastating' to hear of 'this terrible and violent event'. 'My thoughts at this dreadful time are with the loved ones, family and friends, but most of all for the tragedy of the lives cut off so cruelly. Terrible news,' she said. Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Hilary Benn said it was a 'tragic and deeply distressing' incident. 'My thoughts are with the victims, their relatives and the local community in Fermanagh. 'I would urge the public not to speculate and to allow the PSNI to continue their investigation.' Health Minister Mike Nesbitt and Justice Minister Naomi Long also urged against online speculation and appealed for privacy for the families and friends of those who had died. In a joint statement, they commended the work of the first responders and emergency services. 'We are horrified and heartbroken to learn of the tragedy that has occurred in Maguiresbridge today,' they said. 'We send our deepest sympathies to the families affected and to the wider community in County Fermanagh. 'The shock of this terrible event is being felt by many people and we would urge those in need of support to reach out to services provided within the health and social care system, and in the voluntary and community sector. 'We wish to commend the work of first responders and the emergency services, including the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Police Service of Northern Ireland, as well as staff from Western and Belfast Health and Social Care Trusts, the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service and Air Ambulance NI. 'Those who work in the front line of our emergency and health services are the best of us and we value their tremendous dedication and compassion at this most awful of times for families and the community. 'We would appeal for privacy for the families and friends of those who have died and would caution against speculation online as the PSNI continues its investigation.'
