Cain consumed with grief in Emmerdale as he devastates Moira with cruel move
Yesterday, DS Walsh told Cain and Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) that Owen Michaels (Simon Haines) had confessed to killing Nate. Understandably, the news knocked them both.
Not only did they have to try and deal with the fact Nate's murderer had been found, but they also had to try and come to terms with the fact a complete stranger was responsible for his death.
We know of course, that none of this is true. Last Friday, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) found Owen unconscious in his house.
With knowledge that Cain and Tracy were desperate for closure, John left Owen to die and then wrote a note on his laptop, saying that he killed Nate. He believed that it would help Cain and Tracy with moving forward – but it just made things even worse.
At Butlers Farm, Moira found Cain at the table. It was early morning, but Cain had been sat there for ages after struggling to sleep.
Playing on his mind was the fact he will now never get a chance to confront Owen about Nate's murder. Moira attempted to make Cain feel better by reminding him that she knows exactly what it's like to lose a child.
Unfortunately, a grieving Cain told Moira that the aftermath of Holly Barton's death isn't the same as Nate's, because she 'did that to herself'.
Ouch.
Cain spent the day consumed with negative emotion over the lack of closure regarding Nate. As John's guilt increased, Cain attempted to learn more about the sort of person Owen was from Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
Liam had been visiting Owen as his doctor, but refused to tell Cain anything that would breach patient confidentiality.
This left Cain incredibly annoyed and it led to him grabbing his best friend.

Sent away from the pub, Cain took himself off for a walk to clear his head. He ended up back at Butlers Farm where he found Moira feeding some cows. More Trending
Cain apologised to Moira and they hugged, with Moira being understanding of the situation Cain is currently in.
As he left, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) arrived. Topic of conversation turned to Owen and when Moira mentioned him planting Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse, Robert was astounded.
He found it incredibly odd that Owen would risk getting caught by heading to the place Nate lived – and will soon get very close indeed to the truth about Nate.

At present, Nicola is listed on IMDB, although her character has not been named. Nicola rose to fame during the Olympics in 2012, becoming the first female boxer to win Olympic Gold for Britain. She went on to successfully defend her title at Rio 2016, before winning the title of WBO (World Boxing Organisation) flyweight in 2019. The athlete was forced into an early retirement that same year due to a serious eye injury, having only fought six times as a pro. She returned to the spotlight the very next year as a Strictly hopeful and has since expressed how much she'd love to return as a contestant due to 'unfinished business' after her premature departure. Of her decision to retire, Nicola said in 2019: 'I'm immensely honoured to have represented our country—to win double Olympic gold medals and then the WBO championship belt is a dream come true. 'But it's not without taking its toll on my body, and aside from the expected aches and pains, I've been advised that any further impact to my eye would most likely lead to irreparable damage and permanent vision loss. John seeks help in Emmerdale spoiler video in shock plan to get rid of Robert

The two siblings have been involved in a tense back and forth ever since Robert returned to the village. For John, he wants to get rid of Robert because he's worried about him getting back with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). For Robert, he wants to see the back of John because he's utterly convinced he is bad news. Robert is absolutely right but whenever he expresses this theory, no one believes him due to them assuming he's just jealous of Aaron's relationship with his brother. In upcoming episodes, Robert will get closer to the truth about John when he learns about all the times he's saved the lives of villagers. It leaves him terribly suspicious, and then spies an opportunity to get more information on his brother when he leaves his phone unattended. New EastEnders star is a nepo baby as famous family members who have also starred in BBC soap are revealed
Max Murray has landed a role in EastEnders alongside legendary stars but it has now been revealed he comes from a long-line of actors and singers in his family. The youngster has been portraying character Joel Marshall since February this year but it turns out he is actually following in his famous mum's footsteps. Max is the son of actress Gina Murray, who has starred in a number of well known programmes including The Bill, Doctors and The Hunt for Raoul Moat and appeared in the BBC soap back in 2014 playing Helen. Gina's character Helen arrived in Albert Square as a hair specialist to help Carol Jackson, who was struggling with losing her hair as she fought off cancer. It was Helen's role to help Carol find a wig. Max is also the nephew of Mazz Murray, who is a successful TV and theatre actress, starring in Sunset Boulevard, Mamma Mia and Chicago to name but a few. In 2004, Mazz also starred on EastEnders as a waitress called Miranda who had a brawl with Heather Trott and Shirley Carter. The youngster has been portraying character Joel Marshall since February this year but turns out he is actually following in his famous mum's footsteps In 2017, Mazz returned to Walford but this time was playing a character called Julie, who was a divorced woman who hired Keanu Taylor as a male escort for a night of fun and frolics. Max's character Joel is the step-son of Vicky Fowler, who returned to the square for the funeral of her uncle Martin Fowler. Her new boyfriend Ross is played by Alex Walkinshaw. At the time when Max's role was announced, he told the Mirror: 'It's an absolute privilege and honour to be joining such a wonderful production full of a lovely cast and crew. 'I'm really looking forward to introducing Joel to EastEnders viewers and telling his story.' It comes as EastEnders favourite Nicholas Bailey will make a shock return as Dr. Anthony Trueman to the soap, more than a decade since he was last seen in Walford. The character – son of Patrick Trueman (played by Rudolph Walker) – will be back on screens in scenes to air in the summer. Anthony first arrived on the Square in 2000 and quickly made waves, thanks in part to a steamy romance with Kat Slater (played by Jessie Wallace). Now, 11 years on from his last stint, the GP is set for a dramatic reunion with his dad this summer as Patrick and Yolande prepare to tie the knot. Anthony last appeared in EastEnders in 2014 when he rushed to his father's side when Patrick suffered a stroke. Since then, he has led a life away from Walford but in upcoming scenes viewers will see he is invited to his father's impending nuptials and decides to return for the occasion. In a post on the official Eastenders Instagram account, the long running soap teased the visit to Walford comes at a significant moment for Patrick, which means Anthony stays longer than he originally intended. In a statement, executive producer Ben Wadey said: 'It's great to welcome Nicholas back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son. 'But Anthony's plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.' Nicholas who will reprise the iconic role added: 'It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I'm full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony. 'It's wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again - he's such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long.
