How The 2025 Season Could Be Franchise-Altering For Cowboys' Dak Prescott
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will enter the 2025 season with a target placed firmly on his back.

Fighting a narrative of being consistently sidelined (only two full seasons in the last five years) and his failures in the playoffs, Prescott has it all to do to try to end those narratives.
Now, I'm a glass-half-full type of person, and when looking at Prescott's body of work, yeah, it's solid, but as most will attest to, the playoff failures are what most people cling to.
But Prescott has the chance to do something that, while unlikely, if he were to pull it off, might be his biggest and best achievement yet.
As Prescott enters Year 10, there are a few things he could accomplish that would solidify his standing in Cowboys history, and despite all of the hate he receives, it would quieten them all down.

What am I talking about? Let's get to it.
As things stand, Prescott needs just 2,747 passing yards to be the all-time franchise leader, 36 touchdowns to overtake Tony Romo as the all-time leader, and 19 wins to be the franchise leader in that too.

Now, the wins won't happen, that will likely take place next season, but Prescott has thrown 36 touchdowns in a year before (twice, other was 37 in 2021), and it would likely mean the Cowboys win a lot of games (Dallas won 11 and 12 games in his two years of 36+ touchdowns).
So, there is a chance that Prescott, by the end of the 2025 season, will be Dallas' all-time leader in yards and touchdowns and could be a few wins shy of having that record too (thanks to a deep playoff run).

If he is to have a season many think he is capable of, he could also break the playoff drought, winning more than one game in the postseason.
Yes, it is a little outlandish, but Prescott, over the next 18 months, is on track to be the franchise leader in all key stats, overtaking Romo, Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach.
The only thing missing would be a Super Bowl to tie it all together.

Weeks after a messy breakup with the Indiana Fever, WNBA veteran DeWanna Bonner has found her new landing spot. Bonner was released by the Fever on June 25 after the team failed to find a trade partner. The veteran has only played in nine games this season, averaging 7.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists. She hasn't played since June 10. Now, Bonner will reportedly join a thriving Mercury team, which is currently tied for second in the league with a 12-6 record, winning seven of their last ten games. Bonner will join her fiancée and former Sun teammate Alyssa Thomas in Phoenix, and will also take the court alongside stars like Satou Sabally and Kahleah Copper.

The 2026 NFL Draft, at first glance, offers several enticing quarterback prospects, spanning different archetypes, journeys, and physical traits. His 12 interceptions also led the conference, although the rest of his production profile, including 4,052 yards and 29 touchdowns, helps offset those concerns.
