Report – Inter Milan Target Not Punished By Atalanta For Training No-Show As Atletico Madrid & Napoli Wait In The Wings
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.
Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has spent the past few days trying to force his club's hand on a transfer to Inter Milan.
The Nigerian international had responded to Atalanta's rejection of Inter's second offer by scrubbing all traces of his current employers from his social media accounts.
Then, yesterday Lookman took things several steps further. The 27-year-old made a public transfer request.
And today, Lookman no-showed Atalanta's training session. He is making absolutely crystal clear what he wants.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Atalanta have not handed any punishment to Lookman for his antics.
Naturally, the Bergamo club are feeling some disappointment.
After all, Lookman has made it completely clear that he wants to leave. And even gone as far as to shirk his professional duties.
However, Atalanta have decided against any punishment. At least at this point.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia report, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are also waiting in the wings with an interest in Lookman.

Why Beltran is not ready to accept Flamengo transfer
After more than a week of hesitation, Flamengo are prepared to give up on convincing Fiorentina striker Lucas Beltran to make the move. Although the Brazilians impressed at the FIFA Club World Cup and brought in the likes of Italy international Jorginho and ex-Milan full-back Emerson Royal, not everyone is enthusiastic at the idea of moving to South America. EPA-EFE/CLAUDIO GIOVANNINI It has been known for at least 10 days that Flamengo made a proposal worth €15m plus add-ons to Fiorentina, which the Viola were happy to accept. There was also no secret that Beltran was not convinced by the idea of leaving Europe so soon after his transfer from River Plate in the summer of 2023, as he would see this as something of a personal defeat to return just two years into his Italian adventure. They even tried promising an improved salary, but it was not enough to sway him. Now it looks as if Flamengo have realised their pressure is just not going to pay off, as Beltran is showing no signs of opening the door to the Brazilians.

Leoni targeted by Liverpool as interest in young talent grows
Liverpool are the latest club to focus on Parma defender Giovanni Leoni, who has been given a €40m price tag amid Tottenham, Inter and Milan interest. The centre-back is only 18 years old and has just 17 Serie A appearances under his belt, scoring one goal, but already made a big impression. Considered one of the brightest young talents in Italian football, he has been linked with Inter and Milan throughout the summer. They were unprepared to pay the €40m asking price set by Parma, needing first to make sales before raising those kinds of funds for a teenager. (Photo by) That might not be an issue for Liverpool, who are fresh from winning the Premier League title and recognised during pre-season friendlies that their defence is in need of reinforcements. According to The Times newspaper, Leoni is one of the young centre-backs that Liverpool are keeping tabs on, along with Crystal Palace player Marc Guehi. He had already been associated with a potential swoop from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. A product of the Padova youth academy, Leoni moved to Sampdoria in February 2024 and then was sold to Parma a few months later for €4.8m plus add-ons and a 10 per cent cut of the future transfer fee.

Sassuolo considering deals for Maupay and forgotten former Juventus attacker
Reports in Italy claim that newly-promoted Sassuolo are considering offering deals for Neal Maupay and former Juventus attacker Mohamed Ihattaren after his return to regular competitive action last year. Sassuolo looking at Maupay and Ihattaren deals Sassuolo, who won the Serie B title in 2024-25, are looking at providing head coach Fabio Grosso with new attacking additions ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. According to reports from former Brighton and Everton striker Maupay, currently on the books of Roberto De Zerbi's Marseille, is of interest to the Neroverdi. (Photo by) The Frenchman was a regular starter in Ligue 1 in the first part of the 2024-25 season, but largely had to settle for appearances off the bench or as a back-up following the arrival of the January arrival of Amine Gouiri, who netted 10 league goals from his first 14 appearances in the second half of the season. It remains to be seen whether Marseille would be open to the sale of Maupay, and if so, how much it will cost Saasuolo to sign him. Additionally, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Sassuolo are also interested in a potential deal for former PSV and Juventus talent Ihattaren. The 23-year-old has already been signed by Juve and Sampdoria in Serie A in the past, but failed to make a single appearance for either side amidst a long series of personal troubles and accusations of unprofessionalism. However, for the first time in five seasons, Ihattaren racked up over 20 league appearances last term with Dutch outfit RKC Waalwijk. Following their relegation from the Eredivisie last season, and having only signed a short-term contract until the end of the 2024-25 season, the 23-year-old is expected to be on the move again.
