Caitlyn Jenner's manager Sophia Hutchins dies aged 29 after tragic incident

Daily Record04-07-2025
Caitlyn Jenner's long-term manager Sophia Hutchins has tragically died aged 29 following a devastating crash on an all-terrain vehicle.
The deadly collision took place close to Jenner's Malibu property in the early hours of Wednesday, July 2. Authorities confirmed Hutchins' ATV struck a moving vehicle on a twisting section of road overlooking the Pacific Coast.
The collision reportedly launched the ATV beyond the road's boundary, causing both it and Hutchins to tumble roughly 350 feet down a sheer cliff face. Emergency responders reached the scene swiftly but declared Hutchins deceased upon arrival, The Mirror reports.
Two people within the car escaped without injury, officials confirmed. It remains uncertain whether Jenner, 75, was present at her home or observed the tragedy unfold.
Spokespeople for Jenner and her relatives have yet to reply to media enquiries.
Hutchins, also a transgender woman, initially established a connection with Jenner soon after the Olympic legend publicly revealed her identity in 2015.
She frequently referred to Jenner as a beacon of hope throughout her own gender transition whilst studying at Pepperdine University. This connection deepened over the years into both a personal and working partnership.
In 2017, Hutchins relocated to Jenner's £2.8 million Malibu residence and subsequently assumed control of Jenner's professional affairs, replacing Jenner's former spouse Kris Jenner in that capacity.

In a previous conversation with The New York Times, Hutchins dispelled rumours regarding their association, declaring unambiguously, "We were never romantically involved."
Despite relentless media attention, the pair sustained a solid friendship and professional collaboration.
Hutchins frequently featured on Jenner's E! reality series I Am Cait, a spin-off from Keeping Up With the Kardashians that documented Jenner's gender transition journey. Whilst the programme ran for just two seasons, it provided audiences with an insight into their everyday experiences together.
Hutchins was most recently spotted alongside Jenner in April 2024, accompanying her to the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D. C. A politically engaged and vocal figure, Hutchins was a passionate advocate for President Donald Trump and the MAGA campaign.
In a viral social media upload from the previous year, she appeared alongside Trump before an American flag, writing: "The energy, passion, and commitment for our movement to Save America has never been greater! We will never give up."
Although she kept a relatively low profile in recent months, Hutchins continued to be an influential voice within conservative communities and LGBTQ+ campaigning.

'Limp' baby seen being carried out of house as man and woman arrested

The tot was rushed to hospital after being removed from the property. A man and woman have been arrested after a baby was seen being carried out of house while limp. The tot was rushed to hospital after being removed from the property in question. ‌ They were detained by police on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after the baby - who is only a one-year-old - was left fighting for life. ‌ The Mirror reports residents saw the tot being carried away from the property in Newport, Isle of Wight, and into an ambulance at around 11.30am on Saturday. ‌ The child was reported by locals to be "limp" before they were airlifted to Southampton General Hospital to receive blood transfusions, Island Echo reports. The man and woman are believed to be known to each other, and both have been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries until November 1. ‌ Hampshire Police officers were at the scene outside the property for the remainder of the day. A spokesperson for Hampshire Police confirmed the probe. They said: "We were called at 11.34am on Friday, August 1 to a report of a child being taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police attended an address in Newport, to carry out enquiries in relation to this investigation. "A 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Newport, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent." ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The spokesperson added: "They have been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries until November 1." Inspector Oly Greenhowe said: "This is understandably a troubling incident for the community, and we want to reassure residents that a dedicated team of officers is actively working to establish the full circumstances surrounding what happened. ‌ "While we carry out those enquiries, we are urging people to stop speculating online about this case. Speculation and the spread of rumours are not only unhelpful, but they can actively hinder the progress of our investigation." And Inspector Greenhowe called on any potential witnesses to come forward. Oasis fan dies at Wembley stadium show after plunging from top tier

Other shows at the 90,000 capacity stadium are going ahead as planned. An Oasis fan tragically plunged to his death at the band's sold-out concert in Wembley Stadium last night as witnesses described the "horrific" scene, The Mirror reports. ‌ The man, in his 40s, is believed to have been sat in the upper tier of the 90,000 capacity stadium when he fell. Emergency services rushed to the man but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. ‌ The Met Police confirmed officers rushed to reports of an injured person at 10.19pm, towards the end of the band's reunion gig. Police added that officers at Wembley found the man with "injuries consistent with a fall". ‌ And the force has urged any witnesses and concertgoers with information about the tragedy to reach out to The Met. A horrified concertgoer took to Facebook to share their account of the tragic moment. They wrote: "Did anyone else see the guy drop from the upper tier last night." Another Oasis fan responded, saying they had a "panic attack" after they witnessed the tragic moment. They said: "I was block 502 row 32. I have never felt so sick in my life. I got to my seat and had a full blown panic attack which has never happened before. ‌ "I was shaking and crying. I was so scared to get down and have to go back up as it was such a high demand show. But with the state I was in, Wembley moved me to block 501 row 8. Still high up but no where near as steep. I was so grateful." Another concertgoer, in a lower tier, described seeing emergency crews rush to the spot where the fan hit concrete after the plunge. She wrote: "I was directly underneath in section 211. "At first glance I thought it was a coat falling from the above tier but then I looked and saw the bloke on the concrete. It was horrific to see." ‌ A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: "Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. "Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them. "Tonight's Oasis concert will go ahead as planned." The Mirror reports it has contacted both the Metropolitan police and reps for Oasis for comment.

Urgent appeal for information on missing Scots woman nine days after she vanished

Michelle Wade was last seen on Friday, July 25. Police are appealing for information on a Scots woman who has been missing for over a week. Michelle Wade was last seen on Friday, July 25. ‌ And today Police Scotland again asked the public for assistance in tracking her down. The force said she vanished from Kilmarnock at around 8.15pm last Friday. ‌ The last sighting of the 36-year-old was in the East Ayrshire town's North Hamilton Street, and officers want locals to review CCTV footage or doorbell camera for any clues. ‌ A picture of Michelle, wearing a pink top, was posted on the Police Scotland Ayrshire Facebook page. The post said she is 5ft 5ins tall and is of medium build. The force said she also has long brown/blonde hair and that she has a distinctive tattoo on the left-hand-side of her face, which is a star design. ‌ The tattoo can be seen in the picture of her posted alongside the missing person appeal. The tattoo is two stars and sits underneath her eye, just above her cheek. The Facebook post read: "Police Scotland is re-appealing for the public's assistance to help trace Michelle Wade who has been missing for over a week." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! "Concern is growing for Michelle's welfare and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have information on possible sightings of her. "She is described as white, around 5ft 5 in height and of medium build. She has long brown/blonde hair and has a distinctive tattoo on the left-hand side of her face of a star design. ‌ "When last seen, Michelle was wearing a sage green tracksuit and trainers." Inspector Chris Cochrane also spoke about the search to track Michelle down. He said: "Nine days have passed since Michelle was last seen and we are growingly increasingly concerned as it is out of character for her not to be in touch with anybody for this long. ‌ "We are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace her and I would appeal again to anyone who has any information on her whereabouts to please contact us as soon as possible. "I would also ask members of the community to please check their gardens or any outbuildings, as well as reviewing potential sightings on private CCTV or doorbell footage." He said the checks "could help establish Michelle's movements". Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3302 of Monday, 28 July, 2025.
