Prabhas' ‘Spirit' Shoot Likely Delayed? Sandeep Reddy Vanga Awaits Actor's Schedule Clearance

News182 days ago
Prabhas' Spirit shoot likely delayed as he wraps The Raja Saab and PrabhasHanu. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Spirit promises high-octane action.
The much-anticipated action drama Spirit, starring Prabhas and directed by Animal filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has been the talk of the town for a while. However, despite earlier buzz suggesting that the film would go on floors by September 2025, fresh reports indicate that the shoot might be delayed due to scheduling conflicts.
According to a report by Gulte, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is keen on having an uninterrupted shooting schedule with the pan-India star. To ensure that Prabhas is not juggling multiple projects during Spirit's production, the director is reportedly insisting that the actor wrap up all prior commitments before stepping into the role.
That said, Prabhas still has substantial work pending on his ongoing projects. His period drama, tentatively titled PrabhasHanu and helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is unlikely to be completed by September. Additionally, his upcoming horror comedy The Raja Saab still has three songs and an action sequence left to shoot.
Given this situation, it seems increasingly unlikely that Spirit will commence production as originally planned. However, fans will have to wait for an official confirmation from the makers, as no formal announcement has been made regarding the revised timeline.
What We Know About Spirit
Spirit marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next directorial outing after the success of Animal and features Prabhas in the role of a fierce police officer determined to dismantle a powerful underworld syndicate. The film promises high-octane action, intense drama, and a compelling storyline—a trademark of Vanga's filmmaking style.
Initially, Pathaan star Deepika Padukone was rumored to play the female lead. However, due to unsuccessful negotiations, the makers have reportedly roped in Triptii Dimri, fresh off her breakout role in Animal. This marks her South Indian cinema debut, adding further excitement to the casting.
Meanwhile, Prabhas Prepares for The Raja Saab
While Spirit gears up for its new timeline, Prabhas is expected to return to theatres with his upcoming film The Raja Saab. Slated for release on December 5, 2025, the film is a horror comedy that tells the story of a carefree young man who attempts to make a quick fortune by flipping his ancestral mansion—only to discover a terrifying secret lurking within.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features an ensemble cast including Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and more.

John Abraham Wraps Intense Scenes For Rakesh Maria Biopic, Film Eyes 2026 Release

John Abraham stars in a crime drama about ex-Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, directed by Rohit Shetty. John Abraham is currently immersed in the shoot of an intense crime drama based on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria's life. The project, directed by Rohit Shetty, marks their first collaboration and is reportedly being envisioned as a grounded police procedural, distinct from Shetty's signature high-octane cop entertainers. According to a new report, the film is on track for a 2026 release. Mid-Day reports that filming initially began in South Mumbai to capture the city's authentic atmosphere. However, production has now moved to a controlled environment at Ellora Studios in Mira Road, where a police station set has been erected. Here, John is said to be shooting pivotal interrogation scenes linked to several high-profile investigations led by Maria during his tenure. A source told the publication, 'The South Mumbai portions gave the real-world texture to the story. Now, we've shifted to a more controlled set-up. Unlike Rohit's past cop action movies, this one is being mounted as a gritty procedural drama. We are filming the interrogation scenes of the many high-profile investigations that Maria headed." Daily production reportedly involves a crew of 50 to 100 people. The source added that the film will feature five elaborate action sequences, all likely to be shot toward the end of August. 'The post-production will begin soon. Rohit is approaching this one differently. It's not just an action spectacle; it will be a deep dive into the mind of a man who faced some of Mumbai's darkest chapters," the insider explained. John Abraham had earlier confirmed the collaboration in an interview with Pinkvilla, revealing that the film is an adaptation of Rakesh Maria's autobiography Let Me Say It Now. 'The subject we're talking about is a banger that'll blow people away. It's not just about two people collaborating; it's also about the subject, and that's unbelievable," he had said. The film tells the story of Mumbai's toughest crime cases through the eyes of one of its most respected police officers. ‘Third World Who?': UK Couple Says Goa Shopping Experience Tops London, NYC And Dubai

Last Updated: The video showcases a smart changing room setup in India that a British couple says they've never seen before. A British couple was left amazed by a unique shopping experience at a store in Goa. Liam and Dani Cross, who run the YouTube channel Travel With The Crosses, shared a video showcasing an innovative changing room setup they hadn't encountered even in London, Dubai, or New York. Changing Room That Tracks What You Carry The couple visited the Azorte store in South Goa, where Liam picked up three clothing items and walked into the trial room. As soon as he entered, a screen behind him displayed all three items along with their sizes. 'Look how from the future these changing rooms are," Dani said while recording the moment. Touchscreen Features In the video, Dani explained how the smart mirror detected the items automatically. If a different size was needed, all it took was a tap on the screen to place a request. 'The mirror there picks up everything. And then, say you want another size, you can choose one and ask them to bring it," she said. The screen also suggested clothing combinations and allowed users to ask the staff to bring those to try out. 'THIS IS NOT IN DUBAI, THIS IS NOT IN LONDON, THIS IS NOT IN NEW YORK… This is INDIA. I'm sorry, but India?! Third world who?! This is better than shopping in Wales!! Back where the salesman 'goes to the back" to check if they have your size… when clearly they leave the room scroll on TikTok for a minute, then come back empty-handed. Gotta give it to India for the shopping experience," the couple wrote in the caption. Online Response The video gathered nearly four lakh views. Many appreciated the couple for showing a different side of India. One user commented, 'Good to see someone who's showing the positive side of India." Another added, 'Thanks for showing the cool side of India, unlike other western travellers who just show slums and poverty!" 'This is amazing! Every changing room everywhere should have this!" someone expressed. 'Omg, this is the coolest thing. Initially, I was like ooh fancy, could be Dubai/London/US etc., and then I read the caption and you said India, and I was like daaaaaamn, and then you said Goa, and I said WTF!!! I'm from Goa and this was so so cool! So glad you guys are loving Goa!" a person exclaimed. The mirror inside the changing rooms at Reliance Retail's Azorte stores uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, which helps detect products as soon as they come within approximately 10 meters of the installed sensor, according to Cashify. Bhumi Pednekar Speaks Up On Cosmetic Surgery Speculation: ‘To Each Their Own'

Bhumi Pednekar addresses cosmetic surgery rumours, advocating choice and shutting down trolling with wit and grace. In an era dominated by filters, fillers, and fierce online commentary, discussions around cosmetic enhancements in showbiz are louder than ever. With social media scrutiny at an all-time high, celebrities often find themselves navigating speculation, praise, and criticism, sometimes all at once. One of the latest stars to address this ongoing chatter is Bhumi Pednekar. At a recent media interaction in New Delhi, the actress responded to questions about whether she had undergone any cosmetic procedures. Her answer was measured, thoughtful, and rooted in body autonomy. 'I genuinely believe everyone has the right to choose for themselves. Who am I to judge what someone wants to do with their own body?" Bhumi told News18 Showsha. 'And honestly, I think there's too much noise around this topic. This is just who I am, it's how I've always been." This isn't the first time the Badhaai Do actor has addressed commentary on her appearance. In a previous interview with film critic Anupama Chopra, Bhumi opened up about being trolled for having 'big lips" a feature she proudly owns. 'Someone once told me my lips are too big," she recalled with a laugh. 'I was like, since when is that a problem? Aren't people literally paying lakhs to get lips like these? People can say the most bizarre things. The key is to know who you are and not let it affect you." The trolling hasn't been limited to her alone. Bhumi and her sister, Samiksha Pednekar, once faced criticism after sharing a fun video together. The sisters' resemblance led to netizens insinuating that they had both gone under the knife. Samiksha, in a witty comeback, replied, 'Or same parents? Maybe?" Just days before the recent media exchange, Bhumi turned heads as the showstopper at India Couture Week 2025 on July 27. She walked the runway for designer Ritu Kumar in a shimmering golden lehenga that perfectly blended vintage elegance with contemporary flair. On the professional front, Bhumi was last seen in the period drama The Royals, where she starred opposite Ishaan Khatter. Whether it's on the ramp or in front of the mic, Bhumi Pednekar continues to hold her ground with grace, confidence, and a voice that cuts through the noise. view comments First Published: July 30, 2025, 09:27 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
