Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon, 44, pregnant with first child
As a teenager Liz joined the girl group Atomic Kitten alongside Kerry Katona and Natasha Hamilton.
The group – who later had Jenny Frost join after Kerry left – scored three number-one hits – Whole Again, Eternal Flame, and The Tide Is High – plus two number-one albums.
However last year Liz was left as the only member of Atomic Kitten after the other two quit.
A year on Liz has revealed some exciting news in her private life.
Earlier this month the 44-year-old admitted she'd 'been keeping a secret'. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJl4ETfq575/?hl=en
'I've mostly kept myself off social media because sometimes it was hard to smile. But after years of sometimes quite painful IVF quite dark times…I'm pregnant,' she captioned a video, which showed her sitting in a park cradling her bump.
'I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional, so I thought I'd just hide behind this little announcement instead. I just can't believe we're here,' she continued.
'So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse. ❤️ I want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with IVF and loss after so much hope. I've been a part of some beautifully supportive communities. I'm so grateful.'
The singer is expecting her first child with husband Peter Cho, a doctor she met on a dating app during the pandemic.
Four months later they moved in together and four months after that the couple were engaged.
Early in their relationship they began the IVF process as both wanted children and were aware her being 40 might delay the natural process.
However, in 2022 they had three failed embryo transfers, and last year she suffered two miscarriages after the first successful cycles.
In an interview with The Mirror, Liz said she decided to share her fertility struggles following 'dark times'.
'The whole process made me truly appreciate that having a baby is a miracle,' she said.
'When it doesn't work, you're just in shock.
'I felt so bad emotionally, it was really tough.'
But Liz said she was now 'loving life' and was excited to find out the sex of her baby.
She did joke about her nerves though too.
'My knees already hurt. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful, but I'm also petrified. But you know what? It's happened to women older than me before, and it'll happen again – so we'll just get on with it!,' she said.
When sharing her pregnancy publicly, Liz was flooded with many messages of support – including from her former bandmates.
'Literally couldn't be any happier for you both! After all you've been through, this little miracle is everything,' Natasha wrote.
'The best news ever …. You have been through it girl but never lost faith in what you knew was meant to be 🤍 Beyond happy for you both,' Jenny added. More Trending
Liz and Peter married in 2023, but she only revealed his identity to her followers when they celebrated their first wedding anniversary last year.
After sharing photos with her husband's face covered by confetti soon after their wedding, she paid tribute to Peter a year later.
Sharing a photo of them together, she wrote: 'Guess what?! I've been married to my perfect match for a whole year, I love you Peter Cho!'

Oasis 'hire Justin Bieber's bodyguard and Madonna's chef' for sold-out tour
Liam and Noel Gallagher have reunited for an epic tour, with Oasis' first gig in 16 years starting at Cardiff's Principality Stadium and they also have a very big team Oasis have reportedly hired Justin Bieber's bodyguard, Ian Norrington, and Madonna's chef, Darren Staats, for their reunion tour - which starts today in Cardiff. Ian was the Peaches singer's bodyguard during the height of his fruitful career as well as Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss. The Muay Thai enthusiast will be looking after Liam and Noel Gallagher, and band members Paul Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker, during the long-awaited tour following their 16-year feud. "Oasis know the tour is going to be absolutely frenzied so there is no one better to look after them than Ian," an insider claimed. Liam and Noel will reportedly also be joined by Madonna's former 'clean-eating' chef Darren, who 'knows exactly what the band want on tour', The Sun reported. The Mirror have reached out to Oasis for comment. The Mirror recently reported that the main Oasis line up was as expected with Liam as the frontman and Noel on guitar alongside close pals and regulars Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell. The new drummer is Joey Waronker, who performed with Liam Gallagher and John Squire last year on a tour. In the tour programme, there are a few more musicians playing with Oasis, including Christian Madden on keyboards, Jess Greenfield on backing vocals, Alastair White on trombone, Steve Hamilton on saxophone and Joe Auckland will be playing the trumpet. The Mirror understands Jess will no longer be on stage with a source close to the group saying she was only listed in the earlier drafts of the programme and won't be going on tour. An insider said: "The band are not using backing singers anymore. Noel has worked loads with Jess in the past but after final rehearsals were done and the set list was drawn up it made more sense for Noel to do the backing vocals for Liam on the songs. Click here for the Mirror's live updates on the Oasis tour. "It's a shame for Jess but it's likely there will be other opportunities for her with Noel in the future. They just didn't need her in the end." Speaking on the Behind The Curtain podcast, Jess spoke about the reunion and said: "I found out pretty much when everyone else did. I'd heard rumours and then I heard for definite two days before through someone else. Yeah It was definitely a shock. 'I'd love to go. Hopefully Wembley cos it is Wembley. It's amazing and the last time they performed those songs properly was in the Nineties when I was a teenager and I didn't go to the gigs back in the day. 'So it will be nice to see it as an adult. I'm really looking forward to it.'

Huge music concert cancelled amidst safety fears as fans travel to venue
Lytham Festival has been cancelled due to "adverse weather conditions". The organisers released a statement on Friday evening hours before it was due to start. They said: "Due to adverse weather conditions, we unfortunately have had to make the decision to cancel this evening. The safety of our customers, staff and artists is our priority and increasing high winds mean it would not be safe to go ahead." On Friday, the likes of Alanis Morissette, Train, Liz Phair and more were due to perform. Fans fumed as they took to the festival's socials to claim they didn't find out about the cancellations until last minute. One user said underneath the festival's Facebook post: "Omg I'm literally soaking wet waiting for the flyer and then some kind random lady told me it was cancelled. No email or text from poor comms!" Another furious user commented: "Ridiculous announcement too late, we are in a world where we absolutely know what the weather conditions will be, clearly not prepared with the right equipment. Glastonbury continues if your swimming to the stage. Bloody joke." One questioned why it took them so long to post the news on social media. They said: "We were turned away 40mins ago. Shocking that it's taken this long to officially announce it on social media and your app." This year's festival is supposed to host five nights of live music on Lytham Green on the baks of the Ribble Estuary. Over 100,000 people attend every summer, with the likes of Lionel Richie and Lewis Capaldi previously headlining. Stevie Wonder kicked off this year's festival on Thursday evening with a supporting performance from Corinne Bailey Rae. *This is a breaking showbiz news story. Louis Tomlinson secures ticket for Oasis Cardiff gig without spending a penny
EXCLUSIVE: Louis Tomlinson failed to secure tickets for Oasis when they first went on sale last year, but he's now found himself landing a top seat at Cardiff's Principality Stadium Louis Tomlinson has found himself having a lucky day ahead of the first Oasis show of their tour. Last year, Louis revealed that like thousands across the globe, he'd been unsuccessful in securing tickets for the tour. In August of 2024, the Manchester band left fans completely gobsmacked when they announced that Liam and Noel Gallagher's long-running feud had finally come to an end. Almost 15 years to the day after their split, the two biblical musicians put their differences aside and confirmed that Oasis was back with a bang. It came just weeks after Liam had been touring the country to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe. Noel quit the Manchester rock group on August 28 2009, saying he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer". Last year, the pair posed for several photos together, confirming the band's long-awaited reunion, saying: "The great wait is over." But one fan who didn't get tickets was former One Direction star Louis – but things have since changed. The Mirror can reveal that the cheeky Doncaster chap, 33, has found himself on the guest list for tonight's tour opener at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. A source close to the musician told us: " Louis is a huge Oasis fan and has been extremely open about failing to secure tickets in the queue. He's said to have found himself on tonight's guestlist, which promises to be one of the most exciting concerts in music history." Just days after tickets went on sale and sold out on August 31, Headlines singer Louis revealed that despite his huge celebrity status, he was unable to secure tickets. Speaking on Sky Sports at the Italian Grand Prix on September 1, he said: "I didn't, I was in the queue but I never got a number. I did try. I did try." Click here for the Mirror's live updates on the Oasis tour. But he did say he hoped his fame would help him. "I have my fingers crossed," when the Sky reporter suggested he may get sent a few. But Louis isn't the only excited fan attending the concert tonight. 74,500 fans are expected to pack into the waterfront stadium to see Oasis perform for the first time in 16 years. Two fans spent more than a day travelling to get to Cardiff in time for the band's first gig since 2009. Lachlan Weekes and Jayden Helm travelled from Sydney, Australia, to attend the concert in the Welsh capital. Mr Weekes said: "We've been planning it forever. We always said that if they got back together, we'd be at that first show." Mr Helm said: "We've been lifelong fans – we're 22 and 21, so haven't really had a chance to see them before. "It was a long two flights to get here, it's just over a day of travel – a long time – we're still a bit jet lagged, I think. We always said it was worth it to come, we wouldn't miss it for the world. To take time off work to come over here, it's more than worth it." They also visited Manchester, stopping off at Heaton Park as part of their personal Oasis tour. Mr Weekes hopes the band will play Slide Away, while Mr Helm said he would "go crazy" for Cigarettes & Alcohol. Thousands of fans have flooded the streets of Cardiff, visiting dozens of pubs while making their way to the stadium. It comes as no surprise that many are wearing signature bucket hats and Adidas tops for the first show. Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp!
