Masked robbers filmed stealing cash from armoured security van
Four masked robbers have been filmed ransacking an armoured G4S security van before speeding off.
Footage of the raid, which happened earlier this month at the Reevesland Industrial Estate in Newport, South Wales, shows three robbers throwing packages into the back of a blue Audi.
Packages are seen flying out of the van, with a fourth person then emerging from the vehicle and helping them load up the boot of the car.
They are then seen speeding away from the scene after all piling into the vehicle.
The G4S van is seen with extensive damage to it – including a broken window.
A source told MailOnline they used specialist equipment to blow up the safe.
He said: 'It's called a hydraulic power pack. Some of the lads have been stealing from the fire service. They are perfect for prizing open a safe in a security van.
'They are known as the 'jaws of life' and they generate huge power. Perfect for opening a safe or bank strong door.'
Three men have been arrested in relation to the incident but have since been bailed.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: 'We received a report of a robbery from a cash in transit van parked near Caswell Way in the Reevesland Industrial Estate in Newport, at around 3.20pm on Monday 2 June.
'Two men, aged 34 and 38, from Bristol were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released on police bail.
'A third man – a 33-year-old from Bristol – was also later arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault by beating of an emergency worker and released on police bail.
'Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to submit via the Major Incident Public Portal.'
G4S declined to comment on an active police investigation. More Trending
G4S is a global security company used to deliver and collect cash from businesses like pubs, cafes and shops.
The vans are armoured and equipped with security features that help protect the cash like CCTV, satellite tracking technology and SmartWater.
Cash boxes inside the vans have dispensers that stain cash with ink when triggered which makes the notes unusable.
Trained personnel are employed by G4S to drive the vehicles to ensure the safe handling of the cash.

Police seek information of a man after Caerphilly burglary

Pembroke man ignored ex restraining order in Newport
Dean Harrison, 45, of Main Street in Pembroke, was made the subject of a restraining order at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court on February 11, 2023. However, he breached the order several times, and was later sentenced to eight months, suspended for 18 months, for again breaching the restraining order. Mr Evans, prosecuting, told Cardiff Crown Court Harrison and the victim had been in a relationship for around three years, but this ended after the defendant assaulted her. Despite being banned from contacting his ex-partner, Harrison sent her messages on Facebook. These included him asking: 'Are you okay?' and 'Can you speak?'. He also sent a series of 21 emails to the victim using an account in the name of 'Dave Smith'. Harrison was further accused of messaging her on Forever and Ever. Some of these messages related to his own health issues, whilst other messages read: 'I'm just struggling to let you go' and 'I did bad things. Totally out of it. I'm not a monster. Anyway how are you feeling?'. 'By constantly reminding her of his existence, he's trying to control her,' said Mr Evans. In a statement read out in court by the prosecutor, the victim said Harrison emotionally manipulated her from the outset of their relationship in 2022. 'I keep replaying in my mind so many scenarios,' she said. 'I struggle to sleep at night. 'Sadly even when help is in place, he still chose to do what he did.' (Image: Gwent Police) Harrison, who had 15 previous convictions for 21 offences, pleaded guilty to three offences of breaching a restraining order in Newport, Gwent. He entered a basis of plea - which was not accepted by the prosecution - that he called her on Facebook in response to a distressing message from her, that she had responded to the emails, and arranged to meet after the messages on Forever and Ever. 'He understands the relationship with [the victim] is over,' said Mr Williams, mitigating. He added the defendant now accepted he was an alcoholic. 'He was in such a haze of alcoholism and was at such a low ebb he wasn't making good decisions,' he said. 'When he's not drinking, there's a very different side to him. 'Ultimately he understands there is only one person who can resolve these things, and that's him.' Sentencing Harrison, Judge Simon Mills said: 'It was a restraining order you had no intention of obeying. You have been back before the courts time and time again. You have breached it repeatedly. 'You went to a lot of effort to make this contact with her. 'I consider there is a real risk that you're going to act in this way again. 'For an extended period of time you made [the victim's] life a misery.' He jailed Harrison for 15 months for the restraining order breaches, and activated the full eight months of his suspended sentence – to run consecutively. He also granted the victim a new five-year restraining order.

Snapchat video captured the moment the hooded perpetrator whipped out the blade in Gladstone Park, north London, on Monday.
