The Nissan driver won the championship with two races to spare and becomes the 10th different champion in 11 seasons.

Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein was Rowland's closest title rival, but the German slipped down to 16th in Sunday's race despite starting on pole at Berlin's old Tempelhof airport.
"Honestly, I was just thinking before the race not to have too much damage going into [the final round in] London," said Rowland.
"I can't believe it, I have no words. It's incredible. I was trying to play it safe but everybody was so aggressive, so at some point I was all in.
"Thankfully I stayed out of trouble."
It has been a dominant season for Rowland, with victories in Mexico, Jeddah, Monaco and Tokyo, before Sunday's in Germany.

He has 184 points going into the final two races of the season in London (26-27 July), while Wehrlein sits on 125.
Jaguar's Nick Cassidy won Sunday's race as Jake Dennis (Andretti) finished second and Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Penske) came home in third.
Nissan are the only Japanese manufacturer to have won the championship.

Deco talks to Xavi Simons' entourage in Barcelona hotel

Xavi Simons has set his sights on a return to FC Barcelona. Deco, sporting director of the Spanish club, even met with the Simons camp on Thursday, Sport reports. However, a transfer for the Dutch international is considered highly unlikely. Simons's contract with RB Leipzig runs until June 30, 2027, but he's reportedly keen to leave Germany. He's already informed Die Roten Bullen of his intention to leave on several occasions. The player, adept in midfield and further forward, would ideally like to return to Barcelona, where he played as a youth player between 2010 and 2019. To fulfil Simons' wish, his entourage decided to schedule a meeting with Deco. The meeting took place on Thursday afternoon at a Barcelona hotel. According to Sport, the meeting lasted 45 minutes. While Barcelona are interested in the idea of Simons' return, a deal with Leipzig is 'currently almost unthinkable'. Barcelona still face financial difficulties and therefore seem unable to afford the €70 million Simons is expected to cost. 'His current price tag is completely unaffordable,' Sport even states. Simons himself also seems aware that it's currently difficult, if not impossible, to move to Barcelona. The former PSV player was also recently linked with Bayern Munich, but that interest doesn't seem concrete at the moment either. GBeNeFN | Max Bradfield

Slowing Down, Speeding Up: A Hypegolf Weekend in Évian

Évian-les-Bains is a place that invites you to slow down. Perched above Lake Léman in the French Alps, it's long been a destination for mineral water pilgrims and luxury-minded travelers. But during theAmundi Evian Championship, the pace picks up, especially when there's a major title on the line andPorscheis in the mix. This year, we traveled to the tournament with Porsche to explore their role as a mobility partner and presence on the ground. The course itself is carved into a hillside, with much of the action clustered near the clubhouse. It made for a walkable, almost festival-like layout on holes 15 through 18, where crowds bounced between tee boxes and greens. On the 16th Porsche hosted a hole-in-one challenge, putting aTaycan Turbo Sin play for both pros and amateurs competing in the pro-am. It added just a little more pressure to an already pivotal stretch. Between rounds, we made our way to the Porsche Public Village, where the brand had brought out the 911 Spirit 70. The entire activation carried the iconic Pasha pattern—a checkerboard motif from the 70s—from the car to the signage to the espresso bar where fans queued up for complimentary drinks between swings. It struck the right balance of premium on one hand, and accessible on the other. On Saturday evening, we had the chance to test drive theMacan4S through alpine roads above town. Winding switchbacks, panoramic views and golden hour light against the hillside made for yet another highlight in a weekend full of them. Back on the course, Sunday brought real drama. Lottie Woad made history, shooting the lowest final round ever by an amateur at the Amundi Evian Championship. But it was Grace Kim who held on, battling through a playoff to secure her first career major title. From morning lake views to sunset finishes, Porsche found a way to match the rhythm of the week. Precise when it mattered and easygoing when it didn't. That's a rare gear to have. If you're interested in learning more about the 911 Spirit 70, you can head over to Porsche'swebsite.
