ITV series Blind Date is being rebooted by Disney Plus
The original Blind Date, hosted by Cilla Black, originally ran on Saturday nights from 1985 to on ITV.
The show was rebooted once before, in 2017, on Channel 5 and was presented by Paul O'Grady.
The show's format saw three single people, who were behind a curtain, introduced to the audience.
They were then asked a question by another individual, who could hear but not see them, who then picked one to go on a date with.
The couple then picked an envelope naming their destination and in the following episode, the couple's date was shown.
The new Disney Plus series will still feature the blind date aspect but will also have a new format.
Explaining the show, Disney Plus said: "The ultimate dating series Blind Date is back - bigger, better, and bolder than ever.
"The new series will begin in a secret Blind Date location, where contestants must choose between three potential suitors, hidden from view behind the legendary Blind Date wall, the only thing standing between them and their potential true love just metres away.
"With a host of unique, innovative and head-turning format twists, our daters will see if forever love can truly grow as they spend the summer living together but potential new partners are always lurking behind the wall."
Sean Doyle, executive director of Unscripted at Disney Plus, added: "Blind Date is a brilliant opportunity to bring everyone's favourite dating show to a large scale with the potential to resonate with a whole new generation."
Fans unsure on new format of new Disney Plus Blind Date series
Following the announcement, fans of the show took to social media with excitement.
However, many were keen for the show to keep its original format in the reboot.
One said: "Needs to be ITV Saturday night, but don't mess with the format, going to spoil it keep it the original format."

Another added: "Is this a wind-up? They've turned a classic show into a Love Island style version..."
A third said: "No need to mess with the format, when you mess with established formats, that's when they fail. Blind Date mixing in reality TV element is not needed."
Production will begin on Blind Date later this year, with further details set to be announced in due course.

Love Island star Georgia Steel reveals surprising new career away from reality TV

Georgia Steel has revealed a surprising new career move away from reality TV. The 27-year-old star first shot to fame on Love Island in 2018 and later appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Ex on The Beach, Love Island Games, and Love Island All Stars. Now, the beauty - who also works as an influencer - has shared she's embarked on a brand new path away from the limelight. On Tuesday, Georgia took to Instagram to announce she's officially a qualified Pilates instructor. Dressed in a stunning white summer dress, she posted a carousel of photos celebrating her new qualification alongside her parents and boyfriend Harry Clarke. Alongside the snaps, she wrote: 'Pinch me!!!! 'Can't quite believe I'm a qualified Pilates instructor. 'The most incredible day yesterday celebrating with family. Feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now.' Georgia recently enjoyed some time away from work and jetted away to Cancun, Mexico, for a sun-soaked getaway, sharing snaps from the trip to Instagram. The former Love Island star jetted off with her boyfriend of almost a year - Ipswich Town player Harry, 24 - last month after the end of the football season. When she arrived in the sun-soaked location, Georgia shared a host of snaps from the Mexican city. Clad in a striped white and black bikini layered with a skirt, the stunner posed for snaps while perched on a staircase in the couple's hotel. Georgia looked as sensational as ever as she offered a smile for the camera while flashing her slimline figure and toned abs. Captioning the slew of photos 'Summer Mode', the reality TV star accessorised her date night look with a bracelet on each wrist and a glamorous golden earring. Georgia has given her followers an insight into her getaway with a number of posts that week, including one with her footballer partner. While posing together for a selfie, Harry and Georgia looked totally smitten as the former Love Islander cosied up to her partner - who suffered a relegation from the Premier League just a few weeks ago. Having kept their blossoming romance largely under wraps for months after they were spotted flirting in September 2024, the couple went Instagram official in March of this year. Celebrating the footballer's birthday, Georgia gushed about Harry as they marked the big day with a trip to their favourite spa. 'We love you so much,' the 27-year-old wrote. In May, Harry and Georgia were in attendance as fellow Love Islander Dani Dyer, 28, and her England star boyfriend Jarrod Bowen, 28, tied the knot. Georgia and Dani - daughter of actor Danny Dyer - appeared on Love Island together in 2018 and have remained friends ever since.

Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson opens up on 'hardest week of parenting'

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson has opened up revealing she is struggling with her 22 month old daughter Bonnie. The radio star uploaded an honest and heartfelt update on social media saying this has been her "hardest week of parenthood so far", reports The Record. She admitted she's trying to find her feet as a mother to a nearly two year old in today's society, comparing her parenting skills to her parents in the 80s and 90s as she struggles with 'gentle parenting.' Laura took to Instagram sharing a series of snaps and videos of her week, including a trip to the beach with Bonnie and her mum and snaps of Bonnie enjoying a day at the circus with her boyfriend, footballer Clarke Robertson. The 36-year-old opened up in the caption, as she wrote: "These may be images of love, laughter and core memories being made recently but the truth behind the smiles is - I'm struggling." "This has been the hardest week of parenthood so far for me. Bonnie is coming up for 22 months and a lot has changed and keeps changing. I don't know who my daughter is some days, I don't recognise her which has led to my dip in confidence communicating and or disciplining my own child (especially in public)," she admitted. She added: "I'm scared of responding in the wrong way, I'm scared of making a mistake because what if it teaches her long lasting bad behaviours?! And let's be honest if you grew up in the 80s/90s like me, gentle parenting didn't exist. We got smacked (no offence to my parents) and now it's illegal." "So I guess you could say I'm trying to find my place as a mother somewhere in between." "We also talk about the 'juggle' but It's so much more than that. It's the responsibility of choosing a priority every second of the day because we simply can't do it all. I love my child but this is inevitably the hardest 'job' I've ever had (and I've had a lot of jobs)." The social media star concluded the post in a positive light, revealing: "My new mantra though, is- 'show me how good it can get' So without wishing my daughter's childhood away or those precious bonding turning point/learning curve moments. I hope 'this' ie tantrums…too shall pass." Laura shares daughter Bonnie with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy, and has regularly spoke about the struggles of single parenting. Laura and Gary split before Bonnie was even born, with the star labelling him as a "deadbeat dad" after revealing he barely sees his young daughter. Fans were quick to take to the comments showing their support, and praising Laura for being so open. One fan simply stated: "We're all wingin' it," alongside a red heart emoji. Whilst another expressed: "I hear you and applaud you for sharing," and a third shared: "Love how genuine and honest you are Laura. Parenthood certainly ain't all plain sailing but you've got this beautiful mama, even if it feels like you don't sometimes, that's a normal part of parenthood but you do n you're such a great mammy to beautiful Bonnie."

Coleen Rooney eclipses husband Wayne as main breadwinner as Wag's earnings soar while his income slumps

COLEEN Rooney's earnings have eclipsed those of ex-England footballer hubby Wayne after her business ventures made a £1.3million profit. New figures for her firm, CWR 2021, indicate the income from her endorsements and media career more than tripled in a year. 5 5 I 'm A Celeb runner-up Coleen, 39, yesterday published the accounts for the year to September 2024, which showed the booming business already had £580,000 in the bank. Former Three Lions skipper Wayne, 39, was reportedly on around £500,000 as manager of Plymouth Argyle, before leaving the club in December. The ex-Manchester United striker was said to be raking in £300,000 a week at the peak of his earning power in 2014. Coleen's shift to becoming the main breadwinner will now be chronicled in a Disney+ documentary, called The Rooneys. Confirmed yesterday by the streaming giant, she will be seen running her business while he taking the couple's four sons to school. A financial expert said: 'These earnings show that, even before Coleen signed up for I'm A Celeb, she was already bringing in more money than Wayne. 'On the back of her jungle stint, where she was incredibly popular with the viewing public, she's now likely to see her earnings soar even further. 'And the increased interest in Coleen after she did so well on the show is also likely to have sealed the deal on the Disney contract. 'Getting big bucks from a global streamer, plus her pay cheque from ITV, will no doubt swell the Rooneys coffers even further.' Coleen picked up a big fee for I'm A Celebrity in the autumn when she was pipped to first place by McFly singer Danny Jones, 39. Wayne Rooney pictured looking glum on holiday with Coleen & Utd legend pals In recent months she has continued to bring in money through deals such as endorsing health supplement brand Applied Nutrition. Coleen has remained firmly in the public eye following her 2023 Wagatha court case brought by Rebekah Vardy. Coleen had accused Rebekah's Instagram account of leaking posts from her own private account. A judge dismissed Rebekah's libel claim on the basis that Coleen's statements were substantially true. That led to an three-part documentary series The Real Wagatha Story featuring exclusive access to Coleen. Wayne has recently turned to football punditry following a lean spell as a manager. He went from Derby County to briefly playing for DC United in the US, then returning to management at Birmingham City, before his doomed stint at Plymouth. But the shifting fortunes for the Rooneys have provided lots of interest for documentary makers, which has proved lucrative for the family. After making Prime Video biopic Rooney with Lorton Productions in 2022, the same creative team are now behind the Disney+ show. 5 5
