). Brad Pitt is set to reprise his Oscar-winning role as stuntman Cliff Booth.
Considering that too-good-to-be-true billing; the rare occurance of a high-profile director helming the follow-up to another high-profile director's film; the fact that the last time Tarantino wrote a film that he didn't direct was 1996's
From Dusk Til Dawn
; and that the filmmaker has been a vocal critic of streamers such as Netflix – on which this sequel would debut considering Fincher's ongoing contract with the streamer - this sounds like an April Fools.
Still, several sources have corroborated the initial report by

, which states that Fincher is looking to shoot this summer, that the film likely has a $200million budget (with Tarantino receiving $20million for his screenplay) and that Leonardo DiCaprio might appear in a small cameo.

, written and directed by Tarantino, was released in 2019 and followed the adventures of a fading TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stuntman Cliff Booth (Pitt) who navigate the changing film industry and the threat of the Mansion family in an alternative version of 1960s Hollywood.
Tarantino published a 'novelisation' of the film in 2021, which included further details of Booth's backstory and life episodes.

Reports suggest that Pitt loved the script so much he wouldn't let it go. And it seems that he now got his (retooled) wish.

'Wednesday' returns with Jenna Ortega, and a Lady Gaga cameo
The first instalment of the quirky series in 2022 became Netflix's second most watched show after "Squid Game", clocking up 252 million views. Ortega's deadpan and witty portrayal of Wednesday as she solves a series of murders while enrolled in the creepy Nevermore Academy hooked millions of fans and became a viral sensation. The first four episodes of the Tim Burton-directed second series will release -- naturally enough -- on Wednesday, with the rest of them due on September 3. The 22-year-old actor and the producers have promised a more macabre turn for the horror-inflected drama. There are bigger roles for Wednesday's family, notably her mother Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and father Gomez Addams (Luis Guzman). American arthouse favourite Steve Buscemi also appears as the new head of Nevermore, Principal Dort. "There's a couple of weapons that I had to learn to use that I hadn't used on people before, so that was a little bit of a learning curve," Ortega told reporters recently about the biggest challenge of the second series. They include a Swiss army knife and an axe. Her character, as in her own life, also has to contend with her newfound fame after her exploits in season one. Prosecutors reopen case into Noir Désir singer after Netflix doc on wife's suicide
Prosecutors in Bordeaux, France, reopened an investigation in early July into possible acts of intentional violence committed by rock singer Bertrand Cantat against his wife, Krisztina Rady, who died by suicide in 2010. Prosecutor Renaud Gaudeul announced the decision on Thursday, July 24, in a statement, confirming a report from RTL. On January 10, 2010, Krisztina Rady, 41, was found hanged in her home in Bordeaux, where she lived with the former frontman of Noir Désir. Cantat, who was present in the house at the time, was quickly cleared of suspicion. The couple married in 1997 but separated without divorcing when Cantat began a relationship with actress Marie Trintignant in 2002. They reunited after Cantat was released from prison on parole in 2007, following his 2004 conviction of intentional assault resulting in death after Trintignant's death a year earlier in Vilnius. Rady, who had two children with Cantat in 1997 and 2002, always supported the singer. Rady's medical file The decision to revisit the case followed the release of the Netflix documentary De rockstar à tueur. Le cas Cantat (From Rockstar to Killer), available since March. Gaudeul, newly appointed as Bordeaux prosecutor, said, "Watching it led me to review the case file into the causes of death opened after Krisztina Rady's passing. My research allowed me to find three other subsequent investigations, opened in 2013, 2014, and 2018, all closed without further action. After reviewing them, and noting that the Netflix documentary included several claims and testimonies absent from the four aforementioned files, I decided to reopen this case concerning intentional violence."
