Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif said this year's successful operation was due to early planning, precise execution, constant monitoring, and the keen awareness of pilgrims. "This achievement was made possible through exceptional security efforts and the use of cutting-edge technologies," he said in a statement issued following the successful completion of haj rituals, free of incidents or overcrowding. According to the ministry, the season was marked by meticulous organisation, advanced healthcare services, smooth mobility, and a secure environment — with Saudis on social media referring to a "haj without incidents". During the inauguration, Prince Abdulaziz watched a presentation on the new facility, which has been equipped with the latest technical and security standards. These enhancements will enable the personnel and field teams of the General Administration of Mujahideen to serve pilgrims with the highest levels of efficiency and professionalism. The minister visited on Saturday the General Transport Center of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites in Arafat. He was received by Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Transport General Authority (TGA) Saleh Al-Jasser; Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics and TGA Acting President Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih; and CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites Eng. Saleh Al-Rasheed. During the visit, Prince Abdulaziz had a briefing on the transport system's operations during this year's Hajj season, including the planning, operation, and control mechanisms managed by the center. This includes central operation rooms and subsidiary control rooms that regulate crowd movement, direct buses, and ensure smooth flow using real-time data analysis tools and live monitoring systems. The interior minister also reviewed the interactive map of pilgrim service routes between Mina and the Grand Mosque during the days of Tashreeq, which regulates shuttle transport and sets closure times for each route. The General Transport Center is responsible for organizing and managing the transport system in Makkah and the holy sites through multiple operational modes, including shuttle transport and single and double shuttles, in direct coordination with over ten government agencies to ensure functional integration within the Hajj system.

Next, he visited the Jabal Al-Rahmah shading project, which features innovative umbrellas designed to reduce heat stress. These high-spec materials reflect over 47% of solar radiation. Transportation and Crowd Management The interior minister reviewed the readiness of the Mashair Train and observed the transport of pilgrims to Arafat. Then, he received a briefing on trip scheduling and crowd management strategies coordinated with relevant agencies. He boarded one of the trains to Mina 3 (Jamarat station) to inspect the station's direct integration with the fourth floor of the Jamarat Bridge. This integration enhances safe and smooth pilgrim movement. Prince Abdulaziz also visited security units managing crowd flows around train stations. He reviewed the operational strategy of the Special Emergency Forces, who play a vital role in crowd control at the Jamarat site. Their 2025 operational plan includes new infrastructure: six support buildings, 11 escalator buildings with 386 escalators, and advanced cooling systems to mitigate heat stress. Leveraging Technology for Security The interior minister toured the Hajj Operations Center in Mina, observing real-time security coordination and transport updates. He received a briefing on the latest smart technologies, including AI-powered platforms like 'Midan,' 'Sawaher,' 'Baseer,' 'Smart Cities,' and 'Roya.' These technologies, developed by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), monitor, analyze, and enhance security performance. Finally, he reviewed key service performance indicators tracked by the Hajj Project Management Office under the Guests of God Service Program.
