McDonald's Australia announces permanent addition to breakfast menu with worldwide hit the McGriddles
It's been a hotcake minute since McDonald's announced a new breakfast menu item but one of Australia's favourite eating joints has just announced a significant addition. After a short trial period, Maccas 'McGriddles' have landed permanently for a good time and a long time on Australian menus. The McGriddle is a thick pancake-like sandwich, fluffier than the typical English muffin, infused with a maple flavouring - think of a cross between a hotcake and a McMuffin. They can be ordered on their own or with the usual breakfast suspects: cheese, egg, bacon, or Maccas signature sausage patty. Whether you're an early riser or serial snoozer, the sweet and savoury combination sounds like it is worth getting out of bed for. After proving popular with diners during the initial trial period, marketing director of menu and brand for McDonalds's Australia Amanda Nakad said they'll be rolling them out nationwide. 'Safe to say, we got the message and gave our iconic breakfast menu a glow up by adding it to the national menu. 'The McGriddles range joins our other main characters: crispy hash browns, toasted McMuffins and cracked eggs' she said. The soft and fluffy, sweet and savoury combo has been available in selected stores worldwide for more than two decades in Hong Kong, Japan and Canada, among others, but it's the first time they've made an appearance down under. Social media users and firm Maccas fans couldn't contain their excitement at the news. 'Had one for breakfast, it was fantastic. Everyone needs a McGriddle at 4am,' one user said. 'Finally! Been getting these for 10 years in the states. This is all I wanted in Aus. Love,' said another. 'Dreams really do come true' one happy user noted. With cold mornings making the early commute more of a struggle, it's nice to know that the fast food giant has you covered with comfort food to fuel you for the day. McGriddles are available now in McDonald's restaurants Australia-wide until 10.30am.

From 10.30am, Aussies will be able to get their hands on the new Crocs Happy Meal, featuring collectable mini Crocs in a range of colourful designs. The promotion includes eight miniature Crocs key chains, each packaged in its own McDonald's-branded mini shoebox. Each toy also comes with a sticker sheet styled like Crocs' Jibbitz charms, designed to let enthusiasts customise their tiny shoes with icons and characters. The collaboration follows a similar campaign in the United States, which proved popular with fans and collectors. McDonald's Australia expects similarly strong demand locally. 'After a huge response to the Crocs Happy Meal in the US, we knew we had to bring the fun Down Under,' Marketing Director of Menu and Brand for McDonald's Australia Amanda Nakad said. 'Crocs are all about comfort and self-expression, 'With eight bold designs, mini shoeboxes, and Jibbitz sticker sheets, this collab is the perfect mix of individuality and fun we know Aussie families will love, 'Get set to collect! The Happy Meal you've been waiting for is here.' The Crocs Happy Meal will be available from 10:30am to midnight for a limited time only in participating restaurants across Australia. Customers can order via the front counter, drive-through, kiosks, or through the MyMacca's app. As usual, the Happy Meal comes with a choice of a hamburger, cheeseburger, Chicken McNuggets or grilled chicken snack wrap, along with apple slices and a small drink.

Rumours of an exciting collaboration between fast food giant McDonald's Australia and shoe brand Crocs have been circulating on social media of late. And now, FEMAIL can exclusively confirm that the reports are indeed correct - and the new menu offering will be available this week. A McDonald's spokesperson confirmed the launch of a new Crocs Happy Meal featuring a range of ultra cute mini shoe keychain collectibles, which will be available from Thursday July 10. The new Happy Meals will include one of eight exclusive Macca's-inspired Crocs keychain designs. McDonald's Australia Marketing Director of Menu and Brand Amanda Nakad said: 'Get set to collect! The Happy Meal you've been waiting for is here.' The Macca's spokeswoman added that Crocs Happy Meals have already been a huge hit overseas, and that it was now Australia's turn to get in on the fun-size action. 'After a huge response to the Crocs Happy Meal in the US, we knew we had to bring the fun Down Under.' Each of the Crocs Happy Meal collectibles will come housed in a mini shoebox. They will also come with a sticker sheet of Jibbitz charms, so you can add unique personality to the keychain. 'Crocs are all about comfort and self-expression,' Amanda said. 'With eight bold designs, mini shoeboxes, and Jibbitz sticker sheets, this collab is the perfect mix of individuality and fun we know Aussie families will love.' The limited edition Crocs Happy Meal will only be available for a limited time, while stocks last. Rumours of the collaboration started circulating online following a TiKTok video shared by Aussie foodie, Nectro Vlangos, who posts under the handle @nectoriouspapi. Sharing an 11-second video that has now been viewed over 109,000 times, the teaser clip revealed that 'Crocs Keychains' would be 'coming soon' to Macca's. The food content creator correctly stated in the video's voice over that there were eight keychains in the new range, before adding that he 'wanted every single one of them'. The comments section quickly lit up with replies from excited Maccas and Crocs fans. 'Happy Meals every day till you have them all,' read one response. Rumours of the Crocs Happy Meal collab started circulating online following an 11-second video shared by Melbourne video Nectro Vlangos, who posts under the handle @nectoriouspapi 'I want them all,' added another person. 'Omgggg neeeed,' said a third. Nectro also added an extra unconfirmed piece of intel in the comments section about an alternative way to get hold of the Crocs collectibles. 'Did you know you can actually buy them individually for $2?' he suggested. One Crocs fan responded saying they would happily stump up the cash to instantly buy the entire set of eight keychains outright. But an Aussie woman replied to this comment, pointing out that this wouldn't necessarily guarantee a complete set because it's a lucky dip style situation. The woman that the Crocs Happy Meal keychains come 'in a box', meaning 'you won't exactly know' if you get the ones you need to complete a set.
