Nikki Garcia recalls reunion with ex-fiance John Cena seven years after calling off engagement

Nikki Garcia recalled reuniting with her ex-fiance John Cena for the first time seven years after calling off their engagement in 2018. The WWE wrestler, 41 - who recently broke her silence on her brutal divorce payout to Artem Chigvintsev - opened up about the topic on the recent episode of the Honestly Cavallari podcast. It had been recorded back in March during Cavallari's podcast tour when Nikki and her twin sister Brie were guests. The former couple had crossed paths at 2025 Royal Rumble in early February 'seven [or] eight years' after they had last seen each other. 'It was very quick,' Garcia expressed, adding that it had been so out of 'respect' since the fellow pro wrestler, 48, is a 'married man' now. Cena tied the knot with Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020. 'I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone's hand. He shook my hand,' Nikki said. Host Cavallari told Garcia that she was surprised they did not hug which prompted the TV personality to affirm that it had only been a handshake. 'We just said, "Hello, good to see you. I think last time we were engaged. I don't know. It's been a while,"' the star remembered. 'But the thing was, when he walked away, all the girls were like, "Oh my gosh." I'm like, "Shh, shh, He's married, be respectful." And that was it.' While the interaction was brief, Nikki expressed that it had been 'nice' and added, 'It was great because breaking the ice and you know, we just both happened to be back at the same time. It's a good feeling.' After Garcia told the story of the reunion, Kristin then teased, 'Everyone wants you guys to be together.' But the mom-of-one quickly changed the subject by responding with, 'Oh, gosh. Oh, next question!' Nikki and John first began dating in 2012 but it later emerged that Cena had made her sign an alleged 75-page contract before they moved in together. Some of the bizarre demands included her 'being a "guest" in his home' and that they both have the 'same morning and evening routine.' 'We just said, "Hello, good to see you. I think last time we were engaged. I don't know. It's been a while,"' the star remembered; seen earlier this month in NYC Five years into their relationship, John got down on one knee and popped the big question to Garcia - during WrestleMania 33 in 2017. At the time, he had announced in front of the crowd: 'I have been waiting so long to ask you this. Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, will you marry me?' She said yes to the proposal, which resulted in the audience in the venue to let out excited cheers. However the following year, the pair split and ended their engagement. Their wedding had already been scheduled for May 2018 which was canceled. In a joint statement at the time, per Us Weekly, Nikki and John expressed: 'While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.' Not long after the split, the two stars reunited but officially ended the relationship in July 2018. 'After I called off the engagement, we tried to work on our relationship to get back to where it was in order to move forward with our wedding,' she told Us Weekly. 'After much time and soul-searching alone, and together, we have decided to officially part ways. I had a beautiful and loving six-year relationship with a wonderful man. I have the utmost respect for John, but I know this is what's best for me.' In her 2020 memoir, Incomparable, she got candid about their separation and wrote they both she and Cena had 'struggled to align.' 'Rather than turn and face that, I pushed it under the carpet and figured I could pretend like it wasn't there. Because I was terrified of losing my love, I stuffed my desire for marriage and kids as deep as I could.' In regards to children, she added, 'He had made it clear that they weren't on the menu for him. 'That's tough, though, because if you're inclined that way, then the more you grow to love someone, the more you want it all.' Garcia went on to welcome her son Matteo, four, with ex Artem Chigvintsev in July 2020. The pair first crossed paths when he was her partner on Dancing With The Stars - and they later tied the knot in 2022. However, after just two years of marriage, the two went through a public divorce which took place not long after he had been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Napa County. But no charges were filed. Last month in May, Nikki broke her silence on the brutal split and the payout she was ordered to give Artem from her 'hard-earned money.' In her 2020 memoir, Incomparable, she got candid about their separation and wrote they both she and Cena had 'struggled to align'; seen in 2023 in Nashville She had to pay her ex-husband $200k in spousal support and is also giving $3,500 each month in child support. On The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Garcia explained, 'Our settlement is what everyone saw. Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony.' Nikki added that what she is paying her ex is 'a steal.' 'Our judge said at the end of it, "This is the first time in all the years I've done this where a woman had to pay a man. You should be so damn proud that you built such an empire that someone wants a piece of it."' The mom-of-one admitted, 'It was nice to hear that… even though it hurts because I broke my neck for that money. That money, all that is my hard-earned money.' Nikki then revealed that she is fine with the child support payments due to wanting the best for their son Matteo. She then gave a positive update on their co-parenting relationship following their publicized split last year.

WWE's Liv Morgan takes personal shot at Nikki Bella divorce on RAW

The post WWE's Liv Morgan takes personal shot at Nikki Bella divorce on RAW appeared first on ClutchPoints. During their promo, WWE Superstar Liv Morgan took a shot at Nikki Bella's divorce from Artem Chigvintsev, which may have crossed the line. Advertisement Morgan interrupted Bella while she was making her announcement on RAW. She was furious after losing a Queen of the Ring qualifying match earlier in the night. 'You're jealous of me because I have everything that you don't,' Morgan said. 'I have respect, I have a championship, and I have a man.' Of course, Bella did not let that shot go unnoticed. She fired back at her, bringing up the love triangle brewing between Morgan and Roxanne Perez, who has been inching her way into Judgment Day and closer to Dominik Mysterio. 'I get it — you lost tonight, you're angry, I don't blame you. It's a bad night for you, right?' she responded. 'Speaking of your man. I'm just trying to figure out who he belongs to — is it you, or is it Roxanne Perez? I'm confused. But you know what, Liv, if you could do me a favor, can you congratulate her for taking your title shot and your man?' Advertisement As Bella left the ring, Morgan baited her back into it. 'You know what, Nikki? You can say whatever you want because I'm still a champion, and all you'll ever be is a reality show diva,' she said. Bella then reentered the ring, and Morgan hit her with her signature Oblivion move. Morgan taunted her again as Bella lay on the mat. Why did WWE star Liv Morgan take a shot at Nikki Bella's divorce? The reason for Morgan taking aim at a real-life situation like Bella's divorce was likely to garner heat from the audience. WWE is probably setting up a feud of some kind between Morgan and Bella. Whether or not it is a singles or tag team feud remains unclear. Morgan is one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions alongside Raquel Rodriguez, as they are in their record-setting fourth reign together. Advertisement Perhaps Nikki has to call on the help of her sister, Brie Bella, to reform the Bella Twins. When Bella first appeared on RAW, she was discussing the all-women's PLE Evolution, which will take place on July 13, 2025. It is the second iteration of the event after the first one in 2018. Bella got divorced from Chigvintsev after over two years of marriage. They met after being paired together on Dancing with the Stars. EXCLUSIVE Artem Chigvintsev buys $915k house in Napa Valley after ex Nikki Bella is awarded marital property in divorce settlement

Artem Chigvintsev has purchased a new house in Napa Valley, California, after ex Nikki Bella was awarded their marital property in the divorce settlement. The Dancing with the Stars alum and the two-time WWE Divas Champion settled their divorce on April 30 and the settlement terms both parties agreed on have since been revealed. Nikki, 41, was awarded the former couple's marital home in Yountville, California, which she purchased in 2020 for $1,500,000, and he moved into shortly after. In the judgment of divorce, Artem, 42, listed his address as a rental in Napa where he had been living from October 2024 until the time of filing the child custody document last month. He was paying $4,995 per month for rent, per real estate records. He moved out of the marital home he shared with Nikki after his arrest, which took place in August, when he was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Charges were dropped a month later due to lack of sufficient evidence, according to the Napa County District Attorney's Office. . Nikki was awarded their marital home (pictured) in Yountville, California, which she purchased in 2020 for $1.5 million, and he moved into shortly after The pro dancer has since purchased a new home in Napa Valley as of May 13. According to the deed exclusively obtained by Artem is now the owner of a three-bedroom, three-bathroom property on a secluded street. The 2,395 square-foot house is located on nearly five acres of land that is shielded by a ton of trees and gives way to views of the nearby mountains. The home is less than 11 miles away, or a 20-minute drive, from his former marital home, which is now solely owned by Nikki and also has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Artem purchased the home two weeks ago for $915,000, but per real estate records, he took out a $640,500 loan, which he's expected to pay off by June 2026. He has two other properties, which are in Los Angeles County. In the divorce settlement, obtained by Artem was awarded his condo in Van Nuys, California, which he purchased in December 2022 for $323,000, and townhouse in Pacoima, California, which he purchased in February 2021 for $400,000. Nikki was awarded their marital home - with the exes keeping their own furniture and furnishings - but Nikki had to return her leased 2023 Mercedes to Artem by February 2025 because it was in his business' name. She also had to pay Artem an equalization payment in the sum of $200,000 to satisfy any claims related to the division of assets, debts, and reimbursements as a complete buyout of any and all spousal support obligations - which they both have waived. The first $100,000 of that was due by April 30, the date the judgment was executed. And $50,000 is due by June 1, followed by the other $50,000 due by December 31. In addition, she was ordered to pay Artem $3,500 per month for child support for their son Matteo. The parents share joint legal and physical custody of the four year old. Nikki spoke candidly on the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast about their divorce settlement and her reaction to the $200,000 'steal.' 'Our settlement is what everyone saw. Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony,' she said, as twin sister Brie Bella chimed in, 'That's what happens when you're the breadwinner.' But according to Nikki, the $200,000 payout didn't leave her bitter - in fact, she shocked listeners by admitting she 'got a steal' in the deal. The Total Bellas star also revealed a jaw-dropping comment from the judge who oversaw their private mediation. 'Our judge said at the end of it, "This is the first time in all the years I've done this where a woman had to pay a man,"' Nikki recalled. '"You should be so damn proud that you built such an empire that someone wants a piece of it."' The couple got married in August 2022 in Paris. Their two-year marriage came to an end in September 2024 when the Total Bella stars filed for divorce She added, 'It was nice to hear that… even though it hurts because I broke my neck for that money. That money, all that is my hard-earned money.' Last fall, a judge in the case ruled that the exes would share custody of their only child, more than a month after Nikki filed for divorce. She had initially petitioned the court for sole custody of their son and also asked for the court to appoint a supervisor for Matteo's visits with the Russia native and asked that her former spouse be ordered to attend anger management courses - all requests that have since been denied by the court. Chigvintsev told the court at the time that he doesn't have anger-related issues. However, both parents were ordered by the court to enroll in parenting classes to help them remain cordial as they raise their child following their split. The Nikki & Brie Show co-host and Chigvintsev both had restraining orders against each other, which were dropped in November 2024. Nikki was granted a restraining order last year against Chigvintsev after accusing him of physical abuse. She said in legal docs that he had 'tackled [her] multiple times and pinned [her] to the ground while our child was present' during an argument over breakfast. She also claimed that Chigvintsev had become 'increasingly angry, snapping at me and yelling' after not being asked to return to Dancing With The Stars for season 33. Chigvintsev responded to the court that Garcia 'grew increasingly angry' with him on multiple occasions and had played the role of 'aggressor.' The So You Think You Can Dance alum previously broke his silence over his shock DV arrest as he reacted to prosecutors declining to file charges against him over the incident. 'I am incredibly relieved and grateful that the domestic violence charges against me have been dropped,' he said in a statement. 'This has been an extremely difficult time for me. I am thankful that the truth has prevailed. My focus has always been and will always be, our son Matteo.' According to his social media, the choreographer has been teaching master classes at local dance studios in Napa Valley. There is no word yet on whether he'll be returning to Dancing With the Stars this fall after he was not asked to return last season, which was a decision reportedly made before his DV arrest. DWTS pro Alan Bersten told in a recent interview that he also is uncertain of Artem's future, and which pros will be back. 'Honestly, I haven't spoken to him in a while. I hope he's doing okay again. I don't know,' Bersten, who's dating his costar Emma Slater, spilled. 'Again, don't know if anyone else is back, so I hope the best for everyone...I haven't been in touch with him.

The details of Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev's divorce settlement have been publicized, revealing the massive sum the WWE star was ordered to pay her ex-husband. TMZ reported on May 15 that a judge officially signed off on the former couple's November 2024 divorce settlement. 41-year-old Garcia agreed to pay Chigvintsev $3,500 a month in child support for their 4-year-old son, Matteo. Garcia and Chigvintsev were ordered to attend individual therapy and parenting classes. The exes, who married in 2022, two years after welcoming their son, split up in August 2024. Their separation came after Chigvintsev was arrested on felony domestic violence charges after an incident at the couple's home. Chigvintsev denied any wrongdoing and claimed his ex-wife was the aggressor. The charges were dropped in September. 'I am incredibly relieved and grateful that the domestic violence charges against me have been dropped,' Chigvintsev said in a statement at the time. 'This has been an extremely difficult time for me. I am thankful that the truth has prevailed.' In a December episode of her podcast, Garcia admitted that hasn't had 'a day without tears' since her split from Chigvintsev. Nikki Garcia Gives a Surprising Update on Her Relationship with Ex-Husband Artem Chigvintsev Post-Divorce

After a high-profile and messy divorce battle, Nikki Garcia shared a surprising update on where she stands with ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev. 'Artem and I, right now, are in a great place,' Garcia said during a May 22 episode of SiriusXM's The Nikki & Brie Show podcast in which she broke her silence on the newly-released information about her divorce settlement, including the bombshell sum she paid Chigvintsev. 'We are co-parenting so amazing, and it makes Matteo's life so amazing and I don't want it any other way.' More from SheKnows Mormon Wives Star Says Jessi Ngatikaura Admitted Something That 'Shocked' Her Amid Affair Rumors 'That's why when all of this came up, it sucks because things in Matteo's world right now is so great because Artem and I are so on the same page, and I want that,' she said. Garcia confirmed that she was ordered to pay Chigvintsev $200,000 in addition to $3,500 a month in child support for their 4-year-old son, Matteo, but insisted that she wouldn't have it any other way. 'I want Matteo to make sure his life in the other house is equal,' she said. 'Child support is so [that] the child could have an equal life in both homes. That's where it comes from, and so it is hard and you're like, 'Oh, it hurts,' but it's so maybe that other parent can get a better place for rent, so then your child support goes to that, right? Or they can eat the same organic food… I don't even think twice about it because I'm like, that is making sure Matteo is also 50/50. His other time is a good life.' Garcia and Chigvintsev finalized their divorce in November 2024 after filing in August 2024 following the Dancing with the Stars pro's arrest on felony domestic violence charges. Chigvintsev denied wrongdoing and accused Garcia of being the aggressor in the incident. The charges were dropped in September, but Garcia insists that their divorce settlement is not a sign that she was 'guilty.' She alluded to the assault allegation on her podcast, saying, 'Everyone's making it like I'm guilty. I lost. I was a liar. I haven't lied about one thing, and I'm going to just make that clear.' 'You guys, I know how to take accountability,' she added. 'If it [were] opposite, I would have taken accountability. I would've said, 'I f-cked up. I need help,' but that was not me that day.' Garcia and Chigvintsev, who started dating in 2019 after meeting on Dancing with the Stars, married in 2022 after welcoming their son in 2020.
