Nikki Garcia recalls reunion with ex-fiance John Cena seven years after calling off engagement
Nikki Garcia recalled reuniting with her ex-fiance John Cena for the first time seven years after calling off their engagement in 2018.
The WWE wrestler, 41 - who recently broke her silence on her brutal divorce payout to Artem Chigvintsev - opened up about the topic on the recent episode of the Honestly Cavallari podcast.
It had been recorded back in March during Cavallari's podcast tour when Nikki and her twin sister Brie were guests.
The former couple had crossed paths at 2025 Royal Rumble in early February 'seven [or] eight years' after they had last seen each other.
'It was very quick,' Garcia expressed, adding that it had been so out of 'respect' since the fellow pro wrestler, 48, is a 'married man' now. Cena tied the knot with Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020.
'I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone's hand. He shook my hand,' Nikki said.
Host Cavallari told Garcia that she was surprised they did not hug which prompted the TV personality to affirm that it had only been a handshake.
'We just said, "Hello, good to see you. I think last time we were engaged. I don't know. It's been a while,"' the star remembered.
'But the thing was, when he walked away, all the girls were like, "Oh my gosh." I'm like, "Shh, shh, He's married, be respectful." And that was it.'
While the interaction was brief, Nikki expressed that it had been 'nice' and added, 'It was great because breaking the ice and you know, we just both happened to be back at the same time. It's a good feeling.'
After Garcia told the story of the reunion, Kristin then teased, 'Everyone wants you guys to be together.'
But the mom-of-one quickly changed the subject by responding with, 'Oh, gosh. Oh, next question!'
Nikki and John first began dating in 2012 but it later emerged that Cena had made her sign an alleged 75-page contract before they moved in together.
Some of the bizarre demands included her 'being a "guest" in his home' and that they both have the 'same morning and evening routine.'
'We just said, "Hello, good to see you. I think last time we were engaged. I don't know. It's been a while,"' the star remembered; seen earlier this month in NYC
Five years into their relationship, John got down on one knee and popped the big question to Garcia - during WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
At the time, he had announced in front of the crowd: 'I have been waiting so long to ask you this. Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, will you marry me?'
She said yes to the proposal, which resulted in the audience in the venue to let out excited cheers.
However the following year, the pair split and ended their engagement. Their wedding had already been scheduled for May 2018 which was canceled.
In a joint statement at the time, per Us Weekly, Nikki and John expressed: 'While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.'
Not long after the split, the two stars reunited but officially ended the relationship in July 2018.
'After I called off the engagement, we tried to work on our relationship to get back to where it was in order to move forward with our wedding,' she told Us Weekly.
'After much time and soul-searching alone, and together, we have decided to officially part ways. I had a beautiful and loving six-year relationship with a wonderful man. I have the utmost respect for John, but I know this is what's best for me.'
In her 2020 memoir, Incomparable, she got candid about their separation and wrote they both she and Cena had 'struggled to align.'
'Rather than turn and face that, I pushed it under the carpet and figured I could pretend like it wasn't there. Because I was terrified of losing my love, I stuffed my desire for marriage and kids as deep as I could.'
In regards to children, she added, 'He had made it clear that they weren't on the menu for him.
'That's tough, though, because if you're inclined that way, then the more you grow to love someone, the more you want it all.'
Garcia went on to welcome her son Matteo, four, with ex Artem Chigvintsev in July 2020.
The pair first crossed paths when he was her partner on Dancing With The Stars - and they later tied the knot in 2022.
However, after just two years of marriage, the two went through a public divorce which took place not long after he had been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Napa County. But no charges were filed.
Last month in May, Nikki broke her silence on the brutal split and the payout she was ordered to give Artem from her 'hard-earned money.'
In her 2020 memoir, Incomparable, she got candid about their separation and wrote they both she and Cena had 'struggled to align'; seen in 2023 in Nashville
She had to pay her ex-husband $200k in spousal support and is also giving $3,500 each month in child support.
On The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Garcia explained, 'Our settlement is what everyone saw. Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony.'
Nikki added that what she is paying her ex is 'a steal.'
'Our judge said at the end of it, "This is the first time in all the years I've done this where a woman had to pay a man. You should be so damn proud that you built such an empire that someone wants a piece of it."'
The mom-of-one admitted, 'It was nice to hear that… even though it hurts because I broke my neck for that money. That money, all that is my hard-earned money.'
Nikki then revealed that she is fine with the child support payments due to wanting the best for their son Matteo.
She then gave a positive update on their co-parenting relationship following their publicized split last year.

Vin Diesel shocks as he announces VERY surprising return for final Fast & Furious film
Vin Diesel made quite the shocking announcement about the final Fast & Furious film over the weekend. The 57-year-old actor took the stage at Fuel Fest in Pomona, California on Saturday night, where he offered an update on Fast X Part 2. He was wearing a shirt that read, 'Fast X Part 2 Los Angeles Production 2025' while revealing his three demands to Universal Pictures for the final film. 'The studio said to me, "Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast and Furious [in] April 2027?"' Diesel said, confirming the release date. He continued, 'I said, "Under three conditions." First, is to bring the franchise back to L.A.! The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing!' Diesel concluded, 'The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner,' referring to the late Paul Walker 's beloved character. Diesel was joined on stage by his co-star Tyrese Gibson, who shared a video of the fans screaming when he mentioned Dom and Brian O'Conner. The video shows Diesel adding, 'That is what you're gonna get in the finale! Love you!' he concluded, as the video showed Diesel giving Paul's mother Cheryl a hug. Gibson added, 'I've got love for every other city and every other country, but this Fast & Furious s**t started right here in L.A.' The first film - 2001's The Fast and the Furious - was indeed set in Los Angeles, following Walker's Brian O'Conner as an undercover LAPD cop sent to infiltrate Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his crew. Walker was still filming 2015's Furious 7 when he died tragically in a car accident in November 2013. Production was halted for several months as the filmmakers tried to figure out how to deal with the Brian O'Connor character. When filming resumed, they decided to 'retire' the character, having him drive off into the sunset, leaving his criminal crew behind to spend more time with his family, set to the iconic Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth song See You Again for a poignant farewell. They used the late actor's brothers Cody and Caleb as stand-ins and digitally inserted the late actor's face on top of the brothers for the new shots. Brian O'Conner has never been seen in any of the subsequent Fast & Furious films, though he has been mentioned and he's still alive and well in the film universe. That will seemingly change in Fast X Part 2, with Diesel promising fans that they will in fact see Brian O'Conner again. It seems likely that they could either use unseen footage of Walker from the previous films or bring back Cody and Caleb Walker as stand-ins with Walker's face digitally added like they did on Furious 7. The Fast & Furious film franchise has grossed a whopping $7.2 billion at the global box office since its launch in 2001.

Another A-list star snubs SATC reprisal on And Just Like That amid Kim Cattrall's feud with Sarah Jessica Parker
Kyle MacLachlan said creative differences have kept him from appearing on the Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That. The Emmy-nominated actor, 66, explained on Wednesday to Us Weekly his rationale in not yet reprising the role of Trey MacDougal, the ex-husband of Kristin Davis ' character Charlotte York, on the HBO series. 'Listen, I would love to come back and have fun,' said the actor, also known for his work as FBI special agent Dale Cooper on the iconic 90s mystery Twin Peaks. The veteran actor, appearing at a God's Love We Deliver's event in New York City on the late June evening, delved into detail about the creative differences he had with producers regarding a comeback to the franchise amid tension between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. 'What they suggested to me, I said, "I think there should be more." So I just said, "I wonder, if the relationship that Charlotte and Trey had demands a little more than their first idea."' MacLachlan told the magazine about what he thought would be a good destination for the Trey MacDougal character. 'I had suggested that Trey has maybe moved to Napa and has a very successful winery and label there - you can see where I'm going with this. He said, 'But no, I actually haven't said anything yet ... it'd be very interesting.' MacLachlan said that 'regardless' of if he returns or not, he think's the show is 'doing great.' The actor, who has been seen in films such as Echo Valley, Showgirls and Blue Velvet, had kind words for the principle cast of the HBO series. And Just Like That has seen Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Davis reprise their respective roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and York. Said MacLachlan: 'They're all lovely. And I adore them.' Cattrall has not appeared on the rebooted show regularly amid years of tension with Parker. The star did make a shock comeback to the franchise for the reboot two years ago. She reprised the iconic role of Samantha Jones in the 11th episode of the second season, titled The Last Supper Part Two: Entree. The episode featuring Cattrall - who reportedly made $1 million for one day of work on the reboot - was first broadcast August 24, 2023. Sex and the City initially aired June 6, 1998, focusing on 'four female New Yorkers [who] gossip about their sex lives (or lack thereof) and find new ways to deal with a woman in the late 1990s,' a logline for the series read. It turned out to be a huge smash hit for HBO, and ran for 94 episodes over six seasons, racking up a total of seven Primetime Emmys.

NFL quarterback Zach Wilson marries partner Nicolette in beautiful New York wedding
NFL quarterback Zach Wilson and his partner Nicolette tied the knot on Saturday in a classy Manhattan wedding. Wilson, now a member of the Dolphins, began his career in New York as he spent his first three seasons with the Jets. And the 25-year-old returned to the Big Apple this weekend as he and Nicolette (formerly Dellanno) wed at St. Patrick's Cathedral. In an Instagram story posted by Kennedy Stidham, the wife of Wilson's former Broncos teammate Jarrett Stidham, the couple looked to be in good spirits as they walked out of the church and raised their arms in the air. The newlyweds could later be seen sharing a first dance and cutting their wedding cake in front of their guests. Wilson wore a classic black tux for the occasion, while Nicolette kept things similarly traditional with a flowy white wedding dress. The couple, who met in 2022, looked overjoyed as they cut their cake during their party She later wrote on her Instagram story that it had been the 'best night ever,' with the couple celebrating their nuptials at the fancy Rainbow Room following their ceremony. The couple, who have been linked since 2022, announced their engagement last June after Wilson popped the question in Italy. Nicolette later gushed about her beau as she posted about the milestone and showed off her new ring. 'Zach, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me,' she captioned a photo of her wearing a ring alongside Wilson. 'Everyday I admire your strength and i'm so incredibly proud of you. 'I'm so in love with you and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together i love you.' Dellanno, a native of New Jersey, met Wilson while he was playing for the Jets. Wilson spent his 2024 NFL season as a backup for the Denver Broncos, but did not see the field Wilson and Dellanno traveled to Hawaii for their friends' wedding earlier this year The team replaced him with Aaron Rodgers after two difficult seasons at the helm, but Wilson was thrust into action once again during the 2023 season after Rodgers injured his Achilles in his debut for the team. Wilson was traded to the Broncos the following year, and he did not see the field in Denver as he served as the third-string quarterback behind Bo Nix and Stidham. Wilson then signed a one-year, $6million deal with Miami that could rise to $10million with incentives, according to multiple reports. He is expected to back up Tua Tagovailoa on the Dolphins.
