'Perfect' neighbour cut off man's penis and ate it with him before killing him
Armin Meiwes, 42, killed and ate Bernd Brandes, 43, after the latter answered his ad for someone who wanted to be killed and consumed - and now the home where it happened has been burnt down In a horrifying case of cannibalism, a killer devoured his consenting victim over 10 months following a macabre pact between the two. Armin Meiwes infamously consumed Bernd Brandes' flesh with his consent, in a gruesome saga that lasted almost a year. Meiwes had placed a ghastly advertisement titled 'Dinner - or your dinner' on a German internet forum, seeking someone willing to be eaten. Bernd, a 43-year-old engineer, responded to the ad in 2001. Then 42, Meiwes welcomed him to his Rotenburg home in southern Germany. There, Meiwes gave Bernd a powerful mix of sleeping pills and schnapps to numb him before cutting off his penis, which they both ate, reports the Mirror US. As reported by the Mirror, what ensued was another horrific act involving Bernd's back meat. In the documentary Docs: Interview With a Cannibal, Meiwes said: "I took out my best dinner service, and fried a piece of rump steak – a piece from his back – made what I call princess potatoes, and sprouts." Meiwes narrated his initial experience of human flesh as an extraordinary feeling. He said: "The first bite was, of course, very strange. It was a feeling I can't really describe. I'd spent over 40 years longing for it, dreaming about it." He added: "And now I was getting the feeling that I was actually achieving this perfect inner connection through his flesh. The flesh tastes like pork but stronger." In a chilling ritual, Meiwes carefully arranged his dining table with candles, ready to indulge in the forbidden feast he had craved his entire life. Following the meal, Bernd, who was still conscious, was placed in a bath while Meiwes recited from a Star Trek book until he committed the final fatal deed, stabbing Bernd in the throat and ending his life. Meiwes then horrifically butchered his victim and buried the body parts in his garden, saving some of the flesh in his freezer for later consumption over ten months. He was caught in December 2002 and concocted a tale for the police, alleging the meat in his freezer was wild boar. The former IT worker had a long-standing morbid obsession with cannibalism, a dark fantasy that began in his youth. In court, he maintained that the engineer "came to me of his own free will to end his life. For him, it was a nice death." Investigations later revealed that the deceased had an extraordinary wish to be disfigured and had seemingly agreed to Meiwes' gruesome craving as a compromise – fearing that he might be committed if he chose to continue living. Over a month, the duo exchanged messages daily, meticulously crafting their grim agreement, which culminated in Bernd selling his car, wiping his computer clean, and leaving his possessions to his partner via a handwritten note before he left. In January 2004, Meiwes was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years and six months behind bars. Following a retrial in May 2006, he was convicted of murder and handed a life sentence, where he remains locked up at the age of 63. In April 2023, an arson attack razed Meiwes' former residence, the scene of the horrific crime, to the ground.

Killer cut of victim's penis and ate it with him after horror agreement
Armin Meiwes, 42, made a chilling agreement with Bernd Brandes who agreed to be killed and eaten by the killer. What ensued was an act so gruesome it sent shockwaves around the world In a terrifying twist of fate, a killer engaged in an act of cannibalism, devouring his consenting victim over a period of 10 months following a sinister pact between the two. Armin Meiwes infamously dined on Bernd Brandes, who had agreed to be eaten, for almost a full year. Meiwes advertised for a victim with an unsettling post titled 'Dinner - or your dinner' on a German online forum, seeking someone amenable to being consumed. Bernd, a 43 year old engineer, responded to the advert in 2001, leading to him visiting Meiwes, then aged 42, at his Rotenburg residence in the south of Germany. There, Meiwes gave Bernd a potent mix of sleeping pills and schnapps to relax him before cutting off his penis, which they both consumed together. As reported in the Mirror, Bernd's ordeal continued as another grim serving of his back flesh was prepared. In a documentary named Docs: Interview With a Cannibal, Meiwes said: "I took out my best dinner service, and fried a piece of rump steak – a piece from his back – made what I call princess potatoes, and sprouts.", reports the Mirror US. Meiwes likened his initial experience of human meat to something beyond words, explaining: "The first bite was, of course, very strange. It was a feeling I can't really describe. I'd spent over 40 years longing for it, dreaming about it." He added: "And now I was getting the feeling that I was actually achieving this perfect inner connection through his flesh. The flesh tastes like pork but stronger." In a morbid ritual, Meiwes meticulously readied his dining table with candles and took part in the forbidden feast he had been "longing" for throughout his life. After the sickening meal, Bernd, who was still conscious, settled into a bath while Meiwes narrated from a Star Trek book until he ultimately committed the final gruesome deed by stabbing Bernd in the neck, causing his demise. Chillingly, Meiwes dismembered his deceased victim, burying body parts in his garden and stowing some of the meat in his freezer for future consumption over ten months. Law enforcement finally caught up with Meiwes in December 2002, where he tried to mislead them, claiming the flesh found in his freezer came from a wild pig. The former computer repair specialist nurtured a dark obsession to eat another human, a twisted dream birthed during his adolescent years. During the trial, he maintained that the engineer "came to me of his own free will to end his life. For him, it was a nice death." Investigations later revealed that the deceased man carried what some might consider an odd wish to be mutilated and seemed to give his consent to Meiwes' sinister yearning as a form of exchange, fearing insanity if he chose to go on living. Over a month, the duo exchanged messages daily, meticulously crafting their grim agreement. This led to Bernd selling his car, wiping his computer's data, and leaving his possessions to his partner through a written note on the eve of his departure. In January 2004, Meiwes was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. However, following a retrial in May 2006, he was convicted of murder and given a life sentence. He remains behind bars at the age of 63. In April 2023, an arson attack destroyed Meiwes' former residence, which was also the scene of the horrific act.

Man dismembered alive and eaten over 10 months by lover in sick cannibal pact
Armin Meiwes kept portions of Bernd Brandes' flesh in a freezer after they made a fatal agreement. The cannibal consumed his victim over a lengthy period and was later jailed for his murder Armin Meiwes spent 10 months dining on his voluntary victim after he ate him alive following a sick pact. With cannibalism highly illegal, depraved Meiwes was later jailed for life for murdering Bernd Brandes. The fetishistic killer had posted an advert called 'Dinner - or your dinner' more than 60 times on a German forum when his offer was taken up by Bernd, a 43-year-old engineer in 2001. Meiwes, then 42, invited his victim into his home in Rotenburg, southern Germany, feeding him sleeping pills and Schnapps before cutting off his penis and feeding it to both of them. The next gruesome course was Bernd's back, telling a documentary called Docs: Interview With A Cannibal: "I took out my best dinner service, and fried a piece of rump steak – a piece from his back – made what I call princess potatoes, and sprouts." "The first bite was, of course, very strange. It was a feeling I can't really describe. I'd spent over 40 years longing for it, dreaming about it. He cut him into pieces and buried him in his garden, saving some of his flesh in the freezer which he ate over the next 10 months. After the deed was done, Meiwes was arrested in December 2002 and lied to the police, telling them the meat in his freezer was wild pig. The former computer technician had developed a sick obsession with eating someone alive when he was a teenager, inviting his victim to his home in Rotenburg, in southern Germany. He told a subsequent criminal trial that the engineer "came to me of his own free will to end his life. For him, it was a nice death." The dead man was later reported to have a fetish to be castrated and had agreed to accommodate Meiwes' cannibal wish in return, and said to have feared he would be committed if he lived. The pair spent a month communicating daily by email discussing their plans, and the day before Bernd left, he sold his car, wiped his computer and wrote a note leaving his possessions to his boyfriend. In January 2004, the cannibal was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. In a subsequent retrial in May 2006, he was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment, where he remains behind bars at the age of 63. In April 2023, Meiwes' former home and the scene of the murder was destroyed in a suspected arson attack.
