Killer cut of victim's penis and ate it with him after horror agreement

Daily Record3 days ago
Armin Meiwes, 42, made a chilling agreement with Bernd Brandes who agreed to be killed and eaten by the killer. What ensued was an act so gruesome it sent shockwaves around the world
In a terrifying twist of fate, a killer engaged in an act of cannibalism, devouring his consenting victim over a period of 10 months following a sinister pact between the two.
Armin Meiwes infamously dined on Bernd Brandes, who had agreed to be eaten, for almost a full year.

Meiwes advertised for a victim with an unsettling post titled 'Dinner - or your dinner' on a German online forum, seeking someone amenable to being consumed.

Bernd, a 43 year old engineer, responded to the advert in 2001, leading to him visiting Meiwes, then aged 42, at his Rotenburg residence in the south of Germany. There, Meiwes gave Bernd a potent mix of sleeping pills and schnapps to relax him before cutting off his penis, which they both consumed together.
As reported in the Mirror, Bernd's ordeal continued as another grim serving of his back flesh was prepared. In a documentary named Docs: Interview With a Cannibal, Meiwes said: "I took out my best dinner service, and fried a piece of rump steak – a piece from his back – made what I call princess potatoes, and sprouts.", reports the Mirror US.
Meiwes likened his initial experience of human meat to something beyond words, explaining: "The first bite was, of course, very strange. It was a feeling I can't really describe. I'd spent over 40 years longing for it, dreaming about it."
He added: "And now I was getting the feeling that I was actually achieving this perfect inner connection through his flesh. The flesh tastes like pork but stronger."
In a morbid ritual, Meiwes meticulously readied his dining table with candles and took part in the forbidden feast he had been "longing" for throughout his life. After the sickening meal, Bernd, who was still conscious, settled into a bath while Meiwes narrated from a Star Trek book until he ultimately committed the final gruesome deed by stabbing Bernd in the neck, causing his demise.

Chillingly, Meiwes dismembered his deceased victim, burying body parts in his garden and stowing some of the meat in his freezer for future consumption over ten months. Law enforcement finally caught up with Meiwes in December 2002, where he tried to mislead them, claiming the flesh found in his freezer came from a wild pig.
The former computer repair specialist nurtured a dark obsession to eat another human, a twisted dream birthed during his adolescent years.
During the trial, he maintained that the engineer "came to me of his own free will to end his life. For him, it was a nice death."

Investigations later revealed that the deceased man carried what some might consider an odd wish to be mutilated and seemed to give his consent to Meiwes' sinister yearning as a form of exchange, fearing insanity if he chose to go on living.
Over a month, the duo exchanged messages daily, meticulously crafting their grim agreement. This led to Bernd selling his car, wiping his computer's data, and leaving his possessions to his partner through a written note on the eve of his departure.
In January 2004, Meiwes was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. However, following a retrial in May 2006, he was convicted of murder and given a life sentence.
He remains behind bars at the age of 63.
In April 2023, an arson attack destroyed Meiwes' former residence, which was also the scene of the horrific act.

"A gentle end to a gentle life. So much love and laughter and sunshine across days I'll never forget." Nina continued: "He is in my mind all the time now as we adjust to a world without him in it. I can't quite accept that's real yet. But we think it's really important for anyone going through this to know that the end can be peaceful and beautiful. "Kim, Daniel, Anna, Moody, Charlotte, Clara, Eddie, Obi, Sarah, Kat, Michael, Colin, Dorothy, Helen, Gracie and all the care home staff and residents who welcomed us in to their world and made it our home for those days and nights we can't thank you enough." Taking to Instagram last year, Nina admitted she was devastated after her dad failed to recognise her. Sharing a photo of herself and Chris, she wrote: "My Dad. I missed him so much this week. Dementia means he's here, but not here. Today was the first time he couldn't quite place me. ‌ "Then he got out a new glasses case. He was clearly chuffed with it but knew it was funny to be chuffed with a new glasses case. In some ways, he taught me to laugh. Properly from the tummy. And to laugh at myself." She added: "We're all holding on to those deep-rooted connections for as long as we can. Dementia isn't the end. It's the start of a new chapter. "So much respect for his key worker today who told me that it's all about cherishing those connections, instead of missing the ones we've lost. The staff are superstars and it means the world."

Love Island USA's Cierra Ortega leaves the villa after racism scandal

Cierra Ortega has left the Love Island USA villa after the resurfacing of a racist social media post, with fans taking to social media to share their reactions Cierra Ortega has made her exit from the Love Island USA villa amidst a racism row. It emerged that producers were locked in emergency discussions after an old social media post by Cierra came to light, and during the July 6 episode, narrator Iain Stirling announced that "Cierra had left due to a personal reason". The exact date of Cierra's departure remains unclear, but her removal was demanded by viewers once the contentious social media post was spotted. The Instagram Story that sparked the controversy featured Cierra talking about her use of Botox. ‌ She shared that Botox prevents her from frowning when she's deep in thought or concentration, saying: "Botox isn't for everyone but I love it for me!!! I am incredibly expressive with my face and I catch myself frowning for no reason throughout the day when I'm focusing on something or thinking too hard lol." ‌ However, the situation escalated when she used a racial slur while referring to her smile, which is derogatory towards people of East Asian descent, reports the Mirror US. Her post read: "I can also be a little ch**ky when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look. This is not me encouraging but more so sharing." After the revelation of the "crisis meeting," there was a strong public outcry for Cierra's ousting. As the July 6 episode aired, audiences immediately took to social media to express their reactions as they witnessed Cierra's actual departure from the show. One viewer exclaimed: "oh wow they actually booted cierra." While another commented: "Cierra's a** finally out the villa." A third fan shared their shock: "CIERRA HAS LEFT THE VILLA OH MY JAW DROPPED AND I HOWLEDDDDD YESSSSSSSS," and a fourth simply stated, "Omg Cierra is gone." Another individual couldn't hide their surprise, saying, "I can't freaking believe it. Cierra is out of the villa ! ! ! ! !" Meanwhile, someone else found humour in the situation: "Cierra getting kicked out immediately before a recoupling is hilarious as f--k, I'm sorry #LoveIslandUSA." ‌ Following Cierra's unexpected exit, her partner Nic was left feeling adrift, confessing he felt "lost" without her. Reflecting on the turn of events, Nic said, "Well, I think now that my strongest connection is gone, I'll just figure it out from here. I was not expecting this". Cierra's parents have also released a statement, asking viewers for "compassion". The lengthy post shared began, "As Cierra's parents, this has been one of the most painful weeks of our lives. We've seen the posts, the headlines, the hurt and the hate. And while Cierra hasn't seen any of it yet, we have. And so have the people who love her." ‌ They continued: "We're not here to justify or ignore what's surfaced. We understand why people are upset, and we know accountability matters. But what's happening online right now has gone far beyond that. "The threats. The cruel messages. The attacks on her family, her friends, even her supporters, it's heartbreaking. It's uncalled for. And no one deserves that kind of hate, no matter what mistake they've made. "While Cierra is not in the villa anymore, she is still away. She hasn't had the chance to process any of this or speak for herself. But we know our daughter. We know her heart. And when she returns, we believe she'll face this with honesty, growth, and grace." ‌ Her parents then added: "While she'll always be our little girl, she's also a woman, one who will take responsibility in her own time and her own voice. Until then, we're simply asking for compassion. For patience. For basic human decency. Not just for her, but for everyone caught in the middle of this." They ended the statement by saying: "Thank you to those who've continued to show love, even when it's not easy. With love, Her family." Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. Peter Andre says Princess is under 'pressure' after 'lip filler' backlash

Peter Andre has claimed that his daughter Princess is under 'a lot of pressure' for the way she looks, just days after the teen was accused of getting lip filler, which she denies. Peter Andre has defended his daughter Princess, who turned 18 last week, after fans claimed she had gotten lip filler on a recent post - sparking backlash. Revealing that the teen is under 'a lot of pressure' regarding the way she looks, particularly due to social media, dad-of-five Peter said in his weekly New! Magazine column that he urges Princess it's what is inside that matters. Forced to deny that she's had any dermal filler, Princess responded to an Instagram user who commented "Oh noooooo the lips have been done" on a recent post. "No they haven't? x," replied the teenager. ‌ And writing in his column, Peter explained it's not easy being her age these days: "I do see though that there's a lot of pressure on teenagers nowadays with the way they look, especially with social media. ‌ "But like I always tell Princess, someone could be the most beautiful looking person in the world, but if they're not a nice person, they're not that attractive. It's not about what you look like, it's about who you are that makes you truly beautiful." He added that despite her recent milestone birthday, things don't feel any different at home: "Princess is now 18 and it already feels like ages ago. I think as a parent you automatically think they will now be totally independent ,but as she says, she doesn't notice any difference. Well I mean, you wouldn't after three days, LOL. She's still ringing me to let me know where she is and what time she'll be home, which is very sweet. Secretly, I love it." Peter's comments come after his ex-wife Katie Price, who he shares Princess and son Junior, 20, with, hit the headlines for claiming she was 'left out' of Princess's 18th birthday party, which was hosted by Peter and his wife Emily. 'Princess is now an adult, so, officially, Mummy and Princess can go out together,' Katie stated on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, before adding, pointedly at Peter and his PR firm, The CAN Group, 'If certain people would let her be seen with me." However, when contacted, the management firm claimed: 'We have never – and would never – stop Princess from seeing Katie. We would never intervene in any of our clients seeing their parents or not.' ‌ Claiming that the situation left Katie 'upset', a source told Mirror over the weekend, 'The situation has really upset Katie,' says a source. 'There has been a build-up of tension recently and it all came to a head last week over Princess's birthday. "Katie was devastated and felt like she had basically been banned from attending. All the talk about their relationship angered and upset her, and she had a bit of a meltdown – because she is still so close to her kids."
