Sex and the City fans spot insane blunder in And Just Like That episode

And just like that, Lisa lost her father … twice? Sex and the City fans are pointing out a glaring continuity error on the spin-off show, And Just Like That, as the show appeared to kill off a character who was already dead. 'My father died this afternoon,' Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) says in the most recent season three episode. 'He had a stroke out of nowhere.' The episode, called 'Silent Mode,' also includes his funeral. Observant viewers were quick to point out that in season one, Lisa also talked about her dad dying, reports the New York Post. After And Just Like That, controversially began by killing off Big (Chris Noth) in season one, Lisa observed Carrie's reaction and told Charlotte, 'I was exactly the same when my father died last year.' Oddly, season two then introduced her father, played by Billy Dee Williams. Now, season three has killed him off … seemingly forgetting that he was apparently already dead in season one. 'Did ChatGPT write these episodes?' one viewer wrote. Another fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, 'Not And Just Like That killing Lisa Tod Wexley's father twice! @HBO Do you even care? Please pay attention!' A third viewer wrote, 'sooooooo, lisa's dad was already [dead] on [season] 1 ep 2. I guess he reincarnated for a dinner party lisa hosted in [season] 2. now we're on [season] 3 ep 6 and it's lisa's dad's funeral. cancel 'and just like that' pls. put us outta our misery.' When the Post reached out to reps for And Just Like That for comment, a source claimed that Lisa's dad who died in season one was a stepfather. The original Sex and the City followed Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), and her friends Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) through dating adventures in New York City. And Just Like That follows the friends dealing with life and dating in their '50s – without Samantha, amid behind-the-scenes cast feud rumours, which SJP has denied. Cattrall did make a brief cameo in season two, and Samantha made an off-screen cameo (via text message) in a recent episode of season three. Lisa is among the new characters added to the ensemble of And Just Like That, along with Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury) and Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), who was fired from the show before season three. This isn't the first time an HBO show had a high profile continuity error, as Game of Thrones infamously left a coffee cup onscreen in the medieval fantasy show by mistake.

And Just Like That fans baffled by bizarre explanation for plot hole which saw beloved character killed off TWICE

And Just Like That fans have reacted with disdain after writers finally provided a bizarre explanation for killing a beloved character off twice. The Sex and The City spinoff series, which is currently in its third season, showed Lisa Todd Wexley's father dying during last Thursday's episode - again. Lisa, played by Nicole Ari Parker, broke the news to Charlotte in an emotional phone call - however eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out Lisa's father had already passed away a few seasons before. In season one, episode two, Lisa is seen talking to Charlotte after Big's shock death about her father's passing, saying: 'I was exactly the same when my father died last year.' But dedicated fans of the show were appalled that the writers managed to make Lisa's father rise from the dead - only for him to be killed off again. Now, the show's production team have offered up an explanation for the double death - confirming the dead dad mentioned in season one was in fact LTW's stepfather. However disgruntled fans were left unimpressed by the explanation, with one writing: 'She mentioned it a few times that her father was dead - especially after Big was killed off (wow remember those accusations that went NOWHERE?). The show's writing has been a disaster since it came on. Another typed: 'We also literally see Lisa's father, played by Billy Dee Williams, in S2. I can't recall the title of the episode, but it's the one where Herbert forgot to invite almost everyone to their anniversary party, Eunice blames Lisa for it, and Lisa's dad starts in on Herbert over it. A third wrote: 'Obviously Lisa Todd Wexley had TWO dads … he worked in the theater after all.' The fumble was also spotted by Reddit users, who mocked the HBO Max series for its sloppy mistake. 'This show is a mess!!! I can't believe people have been paid to write this,' an incredulous fan commented. 'Holy s**t, these writers are a joke. 'So in season two didn't her father come to her dinner?' another confused viewer chimed in. Someone else blasted the show for being a 'mess.' In season one, episode two, Lisa is seen talking to Charlotte after Big's shock death about her father's passing, saying: 'I was exactly the same when my father died last year' 'I can't believe people have been paid to write this,' they raged. Sex and The City enthusiasts have long expressed their disappointment in this spin-off series, slamming is as 'awful' and 'cringeworthy.' Many fans have taken to social media to bash the show and its writers, with some even alleging this show has 'ruined' the once-beloved characters from the original Sex and the City. The new episode - entitled Silent Mode - found Aidan returning to New York, after his troubled son Wyatt (Logan Souza) agreed to go to a wilderness program in Wyoming for a week. However, Aidan changed his mind at the airport, which lead to some strife with Aidan, Wyatt and his ex-wife Kathy (Rosemarie DeWitt) on their ride back home. Still, Aidan made his way to New York City, and promptly revealed to Carrie that he slept with Kathy, which stunned Carrie. She ultimately forgave him, almost immediately, which lead to an awkward conversation about the scope of their relationship.

A$AP x Star Wars? Find out which rapper auditioned to play Lando Calrissian

The Force was almost with A$AP Rocky. The Grammy-nominated rapper previously auditioned to play the role of Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story. In an interview with Variety, Rocky shared his brutally honest review of his tryout for Star Wars. Recommended Videos 'I auditioned for Star Wars, and my audition was trash,' Rocky told Variety. 'I was trash that day.' The role ultimately went to Donald Glover, who also goes by his musical stage name, Childish Gambino. While Solo failed critically and financially, Glover received positive reviews for his performance, with Rocky being one of his biggest supporters. 'My man Childish Gambino was a way better Lando than I would've provided at that time,' Rocky explained. 'And I think he looked a little more like [Billy Dee Williams] than me.' Despite the failed audition, Rocky would happily take another shot at joining the Star Wars universe. Released in 2018, Solo starred Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, a smuggler who will one day become a hero for the Rebel Alliance in the battle against the Galactic Empire. Solo takes place approximately 10 years before Star Wars: A New Hope and chronicles the dangerous heist involving the Kessel Run. The movie introduces Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Han's eventual co-pilot, and Lando, the cunning smuggler who lends him the iconic Millennium Falcon. Billy Dee Williams originated the role of Lando in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Williams later reappeared as Lando in The Rise of Skywalker. In December 2020, Lucasfilm announced a Lando limited series at Disney+. Three years later, Stephen Glover, Donald's brother and collaborator, revealed Lando had shifted from a TV show to a movie. The movie remains in development. Rocky will next be seen in Highest 2 Lowest, Spike Lee's crime thriller starring Denzel Washington. The movie will premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Highest 2 Lowest opens in theaters on August 22 and streams on Apple TV+ on September 5. Please enable Javascript to view this content
