Anshula Kapoor: No issues between Maheep Chachi and me after The Traitors

Anshula Kapoor became the latest participant to be evicted from The Traitors (India). During the intense 'Circle of Shaq' round, her fellow contestants mistakenly identified her as a Traitor, leading to her exit from the game. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Reflecting on the experience, Anshula admits that being part of a game built on suspicion, deception, and strategy was anything but easy. She says, 'Yes, the game is unpredictable and all about mind games. It felt like living in a psychological thriller. You didn't know whether you were the plot twist, or if someone smiling too much at breakfast meant they knew who'd been murdered. You're constantly second-guessing yourself, debating whether to trust your gut, and at times, overthinking every micro-expression.' She continues, 'It's not a natural environment to be in. As human beings, we crave connection and trust. This game flips that on its head. I don't know if this experience has made me better at spotting deception in real life, because bhai, hum toh Traitors bhi baraabar se spot nahi kar paaye ! Half the time, we chased things we thought were red flags and were proven wrong.' Still, she says the experience has shown her something about her own strength. She says, 'I may not have become an expert at reading people, but I've realised I'm capable of putting myself in uncomfortable situations and coming out of them. That clarity is valuable.' One of the more talked-about dynamics on the show was her bond with her real-life aunt, , who was eliminated earlier in the season. Their relationship came under scrutiny when Anshula questioned Maheep's allegiance during the Circle of Shaq, prompting Maheep to wonder aloud how her niece could doubt her. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Setting the record straight, Anshula explains that a lot of what happened between them was misconstrued. 'What the audience saw was a one-hour edit from a 17-hour day, packed with conversations that couldn't make the cut. And because they brought an aunt-niece duo onto the show, of course they wanted to highlight that dynamic.' She adds, 'To Maheep Chachi's credit, she was clear from the beginning; this was a game, and we should treat it as one. There was no need to get emotional or overthink it. In fact, the question I asked her during the Circle of Shaq? We had discussed it earlier that same day. I told her I'd bring it up in front of everyone so she could defend herself, because people who stayed quiet were being targeted. At the end of the day, she is and always will be my Chachi. One game can't dent that. We didn't need to 'reflect' on that moment afterwards, because it wasn't really a moment. It was curated for drama. But both of us were there; we know what happened.' She concludes, 'I never even voted for her. I didn't believe she was a Traitor. The job of every innocent in the game is to question everyone, and that's what I did. I'm grateful to her for encouraging us to play the game for what it was, without adding emotional baggage. Our equation is exactly the same before, during, and after the show. This is literally not even an issue.'

The Traitors on Prime Video: Who is the new traitor and was the recruitment a mistake?

The Traitors on Prime Video has quickly become a fan-favorite, thanks to its gripping format, constant twists, and a cast full of bold personalities like Sufi Motiwala, Harsh Gujral, Purav Jha, Uorfi Javed, and more. The tension continues to rise with each episode, keeping viewers hooked as alliances shift and suspicions grow. With the latest episodes now streaming, all eyes are on the newly recruited Traitor, but was bringing them in a smart move, or a costly mistake? Let's take a closer look. The Traitors on Prime Video: Who is the new traitor? After Elnaaz Norouzi was voted out and identified as a Traitor during the Circle of Shaq, only Purav remained in the game as a Traitor. According to the show's format, when there is only one Traitor left, they must blackmail an innocent contestant to join the Traitors' team and if the offer is rejected, the innocent is eliminated immediately. Purav chose to send the invitation to Harsh Gujral, who accepted it. Thus, the newly recruited Traitor is Harsh Gujral. Was recruiting him a big mistake? Well, Purav seems to think so and so do we because Harsh could no longer behave the same way he did as an innocent after being recruited as a Traitor. His actions gave him away on several occasions, and judging by how the latest episode ended, it appears he received the most votes during the Circle of Shaq, even Purav voted against him. However, we haven't been shown whether he's actually out of the game yet. That said, it definitely feels like Harsh wasn't the best choice for recruitment, and someone else might have been a better pick. What do you think? You can stream The Traitors on Prime Video.

The Traitors: Maheep Kapoor Calls Karan Johar's Show 'Mentally, Physically' Tiring

Last Updated: Maheep Kapoor said it is easy for viewers to judge the contestants as they already know who the traitors are. Week 2 of Prime Video's The Traitors was a wild ride, packed with twists, turns, and explosive exits. Maheep Kapoor and Ashish Vidyarthi were voted out in a fiery Circle of Shaq, the Traitors murdered Mukesh Chhabra, and Raftaar's shocking elimination followed a full-blown meltdown from Sufi Motiwala. While talking about the intense experience on the show, Maheep Kapoor said, 'We were mentally and physically very tired. And I've said it before, and I'm saying it again. It's very easy to sit in your living room and switch on the TV, and say… You guys know who the Traitors are, we didn't. It's very convenient to say, 'What are they doing? Why are they doing that?' It's a mind game. It's all psychological." Speaking about his shocking exit from the show, Raftaar added, 'I am toh quite happy, matlab yeh pehla aisa show hai, jisme exit hona bhi ijjat vali baat hai 'Yeh toh bada smart tha, isko nikalna zaroori tha.' Toh, it is a great thing. That is the format of the show I like." Ashish Vidhyarthi said, 'Yeh ek game hai, lekin yeh real life ko mimic karta hai. Real life mein bhi hum sochte hain ki hum samajdaar hain, lekin humein khud nahi pata chalta kab hum bhed chaal ka hissa ban jaate hain. So what you see in Traitors iss jo duniya me ho raha hai ki aapko lagta hai ki aap bohot samajhdar hai. And that's when the individual realises. So it was a masterclass in life for me." Reflecting on his experience on the show, Mukesh Chhabra said, 'Yeh reality show sabse alag hai. Jaise inhone show plan kiya hai, woh hi kamal ka hai. Jiske saath baith kar main abhi khana kha raha hoon, woh hi agle pal meri opinion badal deta hai, sirf ek plate lene jaate hi. Peeche mudh ke dekho toh sab badal chuka hota hai. Har second log ek doosre ke baare mein apna opinion badal rahe hain, wahi toh is show ka asli khel hai." Produced by BBC Studios India Productions, Prime Video brings the Indian adaptation of IDTV's BAFTA and Emmy award-winning global format, The Traitors, in collaboration with All3Media International. Episodes 1 to 6 of The Traitors are now streaming on Prime Video, with new episodes dropping every Thursday at 8 PM.

Samay Raina questions Apoorva Mukhija and Raftaar on ‘majboori' that forced them to join Karan Johar's The Traitors: ‘I didn't have fun at all'

Content creator Apoorva Mukhija recently sat down to review the latest episodes of The Traitors with co-contestant and rapper Raftaar. In the vlog that Apoorva dropped on YouTube, while she and Raftaar decoded the episodes, comedian Samay Raina also joined them through a video call and questioned them on why they chose to do the show. Later, The Rebel Kid and Raftaar also shared how the show has caused them anxiety and how insulting the eviction process was on The Traitors. During the vlog, The Rebel Kid received a video call from Samay Raina, where he said, 'Kya kar rahe ho tumlog yaar? Aisi kya majboori aayi tum dono ko… (What are you guys doing? What was the dire need to do this?)' Later, Raftaar also revealed that Samay Raina was also supposed to participate in the show; however, he had to drop out due to date issues. Further, Samay said, 'When you both know so much? Why did you go on The Traitors?' Also Read: The Rebel Kid aka Apoorva Mukhija makes explosive claims about The Traitors, reveals Karan Johar personally interviewed contestants: 'I lied about lots of things to be on the show' A post shared by Apoorva (@ Apoorva also took a jibe at the tricky editing the show's team has done. Later in the video, she went on to say, 'When I was on the show, I didn't have fun at all. I used to be very stressed about getting murdered, because they would not evict you with dignity. Until you reached the breakfast table, you wouldn't know if you were murdered, so you would do your hair, makeup, etc. And they would just invite you to the video diary room and ask you to leave. Your luggage would be kept packed and in the car. The car would be standing outside, and you were just supposed to leave the property.' Raftaar also recalled the moment he was evicted from the show, 'While we were shooting and would get murdered or evicted, the team would pack our things and bring them down. We could not even go back to our room then. I left the Circle of Shaq room and went straight to the car. In a few minutes, my luggage was loaded and I was shifted. The next day, early morning, 6 am was my flight.' Apoorva also revealed how an anxiety-inducing music would be played in the Circle of Shaq room and further shared that getting murdered was all the more insulting than getting evicted. 'You at least got a chance to say bye if others evicted you. There would be so much anxiety, you would see everyone going down the stairs and waiting for your turn. Amazon did a great job of making us anxious, ' The Rebel Kid said. Raftaar also revealed how every contestant had gotten frustrated after a point. He shared, 'Even I have abused a lot on the show, though I hurled those abuses on myself, you don't deserve so much hate because you cuss.' Responding to Raftaar, Apoorva said, 'I am totally at fault for abusing the show for no reason, I would not even realize that I was being recorded on camera. I had lost the plot and just wanted to go home. I had said this in every video diary, which was not shown.' The Traitors streams on Amazon Prime every Thursday, and the show has been getting lots of negative response from the audience as well as the contestants.
