NBA Trade Rumors: Golden State Warriors might sign $46.5 million Dallas Mavericks star to bolster squad and improve Stephen Curry's title odds

Ross Cameron-Imagn Images. The Golden State Warriors have been searching for the right move to solidify their roster—and Dallas' draft-night fortune may have just handed them the perfect opportunity. After the Mavericks landed Duke phenom Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick, their frontcourt is suddenly overflowing with talent, potentially making key contributor PJ Washington expendable. According to Blue Man Hoop's Tyler Watts, the Warriors, who desperately need size, defensive versatility, and reliable secondary scoring, this could be the ideal trade target to push them back into title contention. Washington, who played a crucial role in Dallas' 2024 NBA Finals run, now finds himself in a logjam behind Flagg, Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II, and Daniel Gafford. With the Mavericks likely looking to consolidate talent, Golden State should pounce—because the 26-year-old forward checks every box the Warriors need filled. Why P.J. Washington Makes Sense for the Golden State Warriors Watts laid out the reasoning behind this potential move: "The Golden State Warriors should trade for PJ Washington after the Cooper Flagg selection created a frontcourt logjam for the Mavericks. Dallas has Dereck Lively II locked in at the five with Anthony Davis at the four. That means playing Flagg at the three. The Mavs have Washington and Daniel Gafford behind them. All five players want significant minutes, and Dallas only has so many available in the frontcourt." (H/t: Sporting News) Washington's versatility fits Golden State's needs perfectly. Here's why: Dallas Mavericks (Image via USA TODAY Sports) - Defensive Flexibility: At 6'7', he can guard multiple positions and even operate as a small-ball center. - Offensive Reliability: He shoots efficiently (45.3% FG, 38.1% 3PT) and thrives in catch-and-shoot situations. - Playoff Experience: His contributions were key in Dallas' deep playoff run last season. How Washington Addresses Golden State's Weaknesses The Golden State Warriors struggled with two major issues last season: 1. Lack of Size: Their frontcourt was often outmatched against bigger teams. 2. Scoring Beyond Curry: Secondary scoring options were inconsistent. While the Jimmy Butler trade improved their roster, adding Washington could be the final piece to elevate them back into title contention. P.J. Washington's 2024-25 Season Stats Stat Category Average Per Game Points 14.7 Rebounds 7.8 Blocks 1.1 FG% 45.3% 3PT% 38.1% Why Dallas Might Move On from PJ Washington Despite his strong season, PJ Washington had a rough finale, going scoreless in 27 minutes during Dallas' Play-In loss to Memphis. However, his overall production (career-second-best numbers) makes him a valuable trade asset. With Flagg joining an already stacked frontcourt featuring Lively, Davis, and Gafford, Dallas may prioritize consolidating talent rather than keeping Washington as a reserve. What PJ Washington Brings to the Table - Efficient Offense: Excels in spot-up threes, closeout drives, and rim finishes. - Defensive Toughness: Switchable defender who can handle one-on-one matchups. - Championship Pedigree: Played a major role in a Finals-bound team. PJ Washington, now potentially available due to Dallas' roster crunch, could be the perfect addition. If Golden State can pull off this trade, they might just have enough to make another deep playoff run. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Watch Episode 2 here.

Kevin Durant makes Micah Parsons Commanders prediction that Cowboys fans will hate

The post Kevin Durant makes Micah Parsons Commanders prediction that Cowboys fans will hate appeared first on ClutchPoints. Kevin Durant found himself at the center of attention at Fanatics Fest on Sunday afternoon after he was sent from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets in a blockbuster trade. However, even in the wake of the latest big change for him in his NBA career, he was focused on finding a way to recruit Dallas Cowboys superstar defender Micah Parsons to his favorite team, the Washington Commanders. Advertisement With Parsons still embroiled in drama-filled contract negotiations, his future with the Cowboys has come into question. Some folks have wondered whether he could hit the open market, or if Dallas' front office could ultimately decide to trade him. Regardless of what ends up happening, Durant believes that Parsons will find his way to Washington within the next two years. 'I think he will be a Commander at some point in his career,' Durant said in an interview with Kay Adams. 'Imma say two years from now.' 'I only rock with Dan Quinn,' Parsons said in response to Durant's bold Commanders prediction. 'Exactly, that's all he needs to rock with,' Durant quickly said in reply. Could Kevin Durant's bold Micah Parsons, Commanders prediction come true? Eric Hartline-Imagn Images Any team would gladly welcome Parsons to their squad, as he's been one of the best defenders in the league since getting selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Cowboys and their fans, on the other hand, would likely be sick to their stomach seeing Parsons play for one of their NFC East rivals. Advertisement The prospect of Parsons getting publicly recruited by Durant should only further incentivize Dallas' front office to hammer out a deal with their star defender. Granted, they shouldn't have needed much of an incentive to keep him in town in the first place, but as training camp draws near, all eyes will be on Parsons and the Cowboys to see if they can come to terms on a new deal. WNBA Team Makes Announcement for Paige Bueckers Game

WNBA Team Makes Announcement for Paige Bueckers Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Despite missing four games this season, Paige Bueckers has already made a significant impact during her rookie year in the WNBA. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft put on a show Wednesday night. Advertisement Bueckers scored 35 points, grabbed six rebounds and added four assists in Dallas' 93–80 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. The loss marked Dallas' sixth straight, dropping them to 1-10 and last in the Western Conference. Still, that hasn't stopped fans from wanting to watch Bueckers every chance they get. That fan enthusiasm showed again Thursday morning, when the Washington Mystics announced an event ahead of Bueckers' upcoming visit to D.C. with the Dallas Wings. 'Catch the Mystics Fam and Relentless Training for a pregame workout at Sycamore & Oak next Sunday, June 22, at 10 AM EST.' The event will promote wellness and awareness. There will be a certified trainer on site, giving fans the ability to kick off their day with power, movement and community. Fans can sign up for the event via the website. Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers (5)© Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images Washington has started the season with a 4-6 record, putting them in fourth place in the Eastern Conference behind the Liberty, Dream and Fever. Advertisement Veteran guard Brittney Sykes has been the driving force offensively, averaging 20.6 points in 32.9 minutes per game. Rookie forward Kiki Iriafen has provided strong support, scoring 14.6 points per contest. The Wings, meanwhile, have struggled to find any rhythm. While Bueckers leads the team with 17.5 points per game, guard Arike Ogunbowale is close behind at 15.7. DiJonai Carrington adds 12.5 points per game, but the team has lacked consistency and defense. Dallas will try to snap their losing streak Friday night when they visit the Las Vegas Aces. Washington will host the Atlanta Dream on Sunday before welcoming Bueckers and the Wings to town later in the month. Joe Milton happy joining Cowboys, Dak Prescott: 'Coming here was a blessing'

Joe Milton happy joining Cowboys, Dak Prescott: 'Coming here was a blessing' Show Caption Hide Caption Greg Olsen believes Travis Kelce 'controls how he leaves the game' Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen has high praise for Travis Kelce and shares when he believes Travis Kelce will eventually retire from the NFL. Sports Seriously The Dallas Cowboys swung a trade to add a potential-packed young quarterback, Joe Milton, during the 2025 NFL offseason. Dallas sent a 2025 fifth-round pick to the New England Patriots to acquire Milton – who played sparingly as a rookie but flashed in a Week 18 win over the Buffalo Bills – and a 2025 seventh-round pick. The Cowboys will look to develop the 25-year-old behind Dak Prescott, who is entering his age-32 season after missing half of the 2024 NFL season with a hamstring injury. DAK PRESCOTT INJURY UPDATE: Cowboys QB gets on field at OTAs, 'feels good' Milton admitted he wasn't expecting to be traded after spending less than a year with the Patriots. "Was I surprised? Yes," Milton told the Cowboys website of the trade. "I kind of woke up around, like, 7 o'clock to a call and I knew I was getting traded." Still, Milton took the trade in stride and is grateful to have landed with the Cowboys. "The only thing I could have done, well, the only thing I did at that moment was to thank God," Milton described of being traded. "Coming here was a blessing. I didn't know it was going to be here. … I didn't know where I was going to end up." "I was just thankful to go to work. [But now I'm] back in the heat, for one. He allowed me to play in the dome, for two. And, three, it's America's team. Also, it's just great to learn from someone like Dak." Adding Milton was part of a greater restructuring of Dallas' quarterback room. The Cowboys' second- and third-string quarterbacks from last season, Cooper Rush and Trey Lance, are no longer with the team. Rush signed a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens in free agency while Lance signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. Replacing Rush and Lance are Milton and veteran quarterback Will Grier, a 30-year-old who signed with the Cowboys for a second stint last season after Prescott's injury. The two are expected to battle for the backup quarterback job, with Milton having the edge because of his athleticism and arm strength. OPINION: Chiefs never make Super Bowl excuses – a lesson the 49ers must learn Milton is getting good vibes from his counterparts despite his competition with Grier. He is relishing an opportunity to learn from the duo as he tries to establish himself at the NFL level. "It's great, man," Milton said of Dallas' quarterback room. "We all have three different games, you know? Dak brings the most experience to the room and Will has been around football throughout his whole life. And then you've got me, whereas I didn't grow up with a quarterback coach. I just happened to be so athletic, and I bring extra tools. "I learned along the way and I'm able to do certain things. So, putting it all together, we just shape one another as quarterbacks. It's just great. We feed off of each other. "They help me out a lot, man. Shout out to those two, man. Like, respect for sure. No matter what it is, they're willing to help, regardless."

‘Bonkers!': Ginnifer Goodwin Reflects on Once Upon a Time Musical Episode Anniversary — WATCH

When I most unexpectedly reunited with the age-defying Ginnifer Goodwin on the Disney Upfront's blue carpet earlier this month, I had recently gotten a Facebook 'memory' about the Once Upon a Time musical episode, which aired eight years prior (and for which I was on-set, in March 2017). So after talking a bit about her voice acting encore as police rabbit Judy Hopps in Disney's Zootopia 2 (due in theaters Nov. 26!), I had to invite Ginny to reflect on OUAT's 'The Song in Your Heart,' which aired May 7, 2017, saw her duet with husband Josh Dallas' Charming, and teed up that season's two-part finale. For one, she had a nine-year-old at her hip (her and Dallas' second-born child, Hugo). Plus, 'I was terrified' about singing on-camera, she admits. 'It was a big deal for me to not go running.' We then give props to Dallas' own pipes, which were put to good use in the musical episode's opening number, 'Powerful Magic.' For 'The Song in Your Heart,' OUAT creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis enlisted songwriters Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner to hash out the grand plan, which led to seven original tunes being penned: 'Powerful Magic,' 'Love Doesn't Stand a Chance' (led by Lana Parrilla), 'Revenge Is Gonna Be Mine' (led by Colin O'Donoghue), 'Wicked Always Wins' (Rebecca Mader), 'Charmings vs. Evil Queen' (Goodwin, Dallas and Parrilla), 'Emma's Theme' (Jennifer Morrison), and the #CaptainSwan wedding song 'A Happy Beginning' (ft. Morrison, O'Donoghue, Goodwin, Dallas, Parrilla, Mader and kinda-sorta Jared Gilmore). 'I said that in theory I was keen' on doing a musical episode, Goodwin told me on-set back in 2017, 'but the truth is when it became a reality I grew terrified, and asked if I could be a doo-wop girl in the background.
