
Deputy Education Minister opens 2nd Sana'a Education exhibition
Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem al-Duais on Saturday inaugurated the "Second Sana'a Education Exhibition 2025," showcasing programs from 26 educational institutions.
Accompanied by ministry officials, Dr. al-Duais toured the five-day exhibition, organized by the Higher Education Sector and Nahdet Fikr.
The event aims to provide students with a comprehensive overview of available specializations, offers, and benefits from 14 private universities, 12 community colleges, and various institutes.
Dr. al-Duais lauded the exhibition for offering academic services and guidance, stressing its role in promoting education, scientific research, and community service.

Sana'a – Education Deputy Minister inspects educational process in Hamdan
Sana'a - Saba: Hadi Ammar, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research for General Education, along with Talah Dahhan, the Education Sector Official in Sana'a province, inspected the progress of the educational process in Hamdan District on Tuesday. Ammar and Dahhan reviewed the level of educational discipline at Al-Zahra Girls' School in Shumlan and the efforts made to fulfill the educational mission and teach students. They were briefed by the Director of Education in the district, Ali Al-Alban, and his deputy, Hussein Al-Jarbani, on the progress of education in schools, particularly regarding the mechanisms for implementing activities and programs aimed at advancing the educational process. During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Education praised the dedication, creativity, and excellence in the educational process despite the systematic and widespread targeting of the education sector—including its structures, fields, and infrastructure—throughout the years of aggression against Yemen. He commended the resilience of the educational front and the sector, which has become a source of pride for all Yemenis and an unparalleled example of steadfastness, reflected in the continuity of education and the thwarting of the enemy's desperate attempts to disrupt and undermine the educational process. Ammar emphasized the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research's commitment to developing and improving the educational process to achieve its highest goals. For his part, Talah Dahhan, the Education Sector Official in the province, appreciated the Ministry's leadership and its efforts to address the needs of the educational sector through field visits to teachers and students in schools. He urged the school's female students to work diligently, stay focused, and strive for excellence to achieve top ranks during the current academic year. Education ministry opens registration for gifted student exams
Sana'a – Saba: Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan al-Saadi, on Saturday officially launched the admission and registration process for competitive exams for the first secondary grade at Jamal Abdulnasser High School for Gifted Students. This marks the start of registration for the upcoming 1447 AH academic year. During the launch, Minister al-Saadi, joined by Deputy Minister Dr. Hatem al-Duais and Undersecretary Hadi Ammar, highlighted the ministry's dedication to supporting exceptional students. He emphasized providing them with an optimal learning environment, recognizing their potential as future scientists. The minister noted that this registration period extends beyond Abdulnasser High School. It also includes Martyr al-Sammad High School for Girls in Sana'a, Martyr al-Sammad High School in Ibb governorate, and Martyr Taha al-Madani High School in Hajjah governorate. He commended the efforts of the staff at these institutions. Director of Abdulnasser Secondary School Dr. Mohammed al-Qasimi provided details on the competitive exam registration. Applications will be accepted until next Thursday. Students must have achieved a minimum GPA of 80 percent in their ninth-grade studies for the 1446 AH academic year. He further clarified that applicants must be Yemeni citizens, no older than 17 years of age, and successfully pass an entrance exam covering core ninth-grade subjects (Arabic, English, Mathematics, and Science), in addition to an IQ test. Required documents for the exam include a copy of ninth-grade results (with seat number), the original seat number for verification, and two recent 4x6 personal photos.
