F1 Star Brad Pitt Says He 'Missed the Chance' For A 'Gay Experience': 'But If I Did...'

Brad Pitt revealed on Dax Shepard's podcast that he missed the chance to have a gay experience. Pitt, dating Ines de Ramon, has been married twice. Brad Pitt says he has 'missed the window" to have a 'gay experience". The 61-year-old actor – who is currently dating 32-year-old jewellery executive Ines de Ramon – believes his chance to spend some intimate time with another man is long gone. Speaking on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, he said, 'You know, I've never had a gay experience. 'I kind of missed that window." However, if Brad does ever indulge in a homosexual experience, the star joked he's unlikely to pick podcast host Dax. Brad quipped, 'But if I did, it wouldn't be you." The Bullet Train actor has been married twice before, but both ended in divorce. He wed actress Angelina Jolie in 2014, but they split in 2019 and their divorce was finalised in 2024. Brad was also married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005. In 2018, Gus Van Sant, who had been due to direct Brokeback Mountain, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger as two homosexual cowboys, revealed Brad, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, and Ryan Phillippe all rejected the chance to appear in the motion picture. Speaking to Indiewire, he said, 'Nobody wanted to do it. I was working on it, and I felt like we needed a really strong cast, like a famous cast. That wasn't working out. I asked the usual suspects: Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ryan Phillippe. They all said no. What I could have done, and what I probably should have done, was cast more unknowns, not worried about who were the lead actors. I was not ready. I'm not sure why. There was just sort of a hiccup on my part. There was something off with myself, I guess, whatever was going on." The movie – which was eventually helmed by Ang Lee – broke barriers for casting heterosexual actors Gyllenhaal and Ledger as the two main characters, Jack Twist and Ennis Del Mar. Emmy experts predict Drama Series race: ‘Severance' out front, but watch out for ‘The Pitt'

As Emmy voting begins, can Severance hold onto its momentum as the Best Drama Series frontrunner, or might another show steal its thunder? Four top Emmy experts — Variety's Clayton Davis, The Hollywood Reporter's Scott Feinberg, Indiewire's Marcus Jones, Deadline's Pete Hammond — predict the race with moderator and Gold Derby editor-in-chief Debra Birnbaum in our latest slugfest (watch above). "We have to talk about Severance — that's Apple's main play," says Jones. The sci-fi series has been the category's de facto leader all season long. HBO and Max have an incredible amount of product this year, he says, including The Pitt, The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Industry, and House of the Dragon. He also declares Hulu's apocalyptic series Paradise to be "one of the big newcomers" of the year, with "an amazing performance from Sterling K. Brown." More from GoldDerby 'You killed America's sweetheart!' Kaitlyn Dever teased for offing Pedro Pascal by 'Last of Us' cast, creators as bigger role looms in Season 3 Dan Fogelman and team on the making of 'Paradise': 'It only works if you have talented people who you trust' 'Thank you for dying': 'Squid Game' creator, cast share deeper meanings of hit Netflix series, reveal on-set flower ceremonies for 'killed' actors Feinberg agrees that The Pitt is "the most obvious" freshman drama to receive a nomination, adding, "I think it could even end up winning." Looking beyond the frontrunners, he's "impressed" by how many voters are telling him they're watching Your Friends & Neighbors on Apple TV+. But what about Landman? "That's a real wild card to me because, out in the real world, everybody's watching it, but it's TBD who's watching it in the TV Academy." Hulu "There are a lot of good possibilities in the drama series category," says Hammond. The Handmaid's Tale ended its final season amid "everything going on in the world, and seemingly this show has turned into a documentary, ... Handmaid's Tale is now true life!" As for The Pitt, he thinks it's "so hard to watch" because of all the realistic medical stories, and wishes there were commercials. "I need a break [from all the blood]." Davis is already looking ahead to the Emmy ceremony, claiming, "Win-wise, I think this is Severance vs. The Pitt for the rest of the year. I think The Pitt is so Homeland Season 1 coded. I want to know how many nominations it gets before I can really cross over and say it can do it." He also creates a stir when he mentions how Pedro Pascal should drop down to supporting for The Last of Us because it's "more appropriate" after what happens to his character in Season 2. As for shows that people are actually watching "in the real world," Birnbaum singles out Matlock, with its star Kathy Bates on the cusp of being the oldest winner ever for Best Drama Actress. "It's just such a strong narrative," she says. "You have to imagine voters are going to get swept up with that." Which Emmy expert do you agree with the most? Eddington Reviews: Pedro Pascal & Emma Stone Movie Divides Critics at Cannes

reviews are beginning to pour in after the film's premiere at Cannes, and responses to the film are polarizing for Ari Aster's latest. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has garnered a 67% score with just 12 reviews in as of now. All 12 of the reviews come from the film's premiere at Cannes, and paint a polarizing picture for what fans can expect. Indiewire's David Ehrlich loved the film, saying it 'captures the day-to-day extent to which our digital future has stripped people of their ability to self-identify their own truths.' Likewise, Variety's Owen Gleiberman noted that the film features much of what makes Aster a 'stimulating filmmaker,' even if he indulges in himself a bit too much. Deadline's Damon Wise praised the film's satirical take on COVID and modern times, saying that 'without ceremony or mercy, Eddington rips the Band-Aid off, and not everyone is going to want to look at, or think about, what's there underneath it.' Not every review was popular, though. The Financial Times' Raphael Abraham said the film 'boils down to is a big-screen amplification of a billion 'WTF is going on?!' posts rather than any kind of coherent response to them.' The Times' Kevin Maher similarly said the film feels 'unsure of what it wants to say.' Eddington stars Joaquin Phoenix, Austin Butler, Emma Stone, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O'Connell, Micheal Ward, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Cameron Mann, Matt Gomez Hidaka, and Amélie Hoeferle. 'A small-town sheriff (Phoenix) and mayor (Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico,' the official synopsis for Eddington reads. Eddington will be released in United States theaters on July 18, 2025, from A24.
