Amir, UAE president discuss promoting fraternal relations, regional developments
DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting, where they discussed the solid fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to support them across various fields, in addition to the regional developments and the efforts exerted to achieve peace and stability that will lead to growth and prosperity for all their peoples. At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed HH the President of the UAE and his accompanying delegation, expressing his pleasure with this visit, which reflects the depth of relations between the two fraternal countries. For his part, HH the President of the UAE reiterated his country's solidarity with Qatar and its support for it following the attack that targeted its territory. His Highness affirmed the UAE's support for all measures that Qatar may take to preserve its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its people. HH the President of the UAE also commended the efforts made by HH the Amir in facilitating the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. In this regard, HH the Amir voiced his deep appreciation to HH the President of the UAE for his solidarity and sincere feelings, as well as his country's stance towards the State of Qatar and its people following the recent Iranian military attack. HH the Amir and HH the President of the UAE exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly the current situation in the Middle East following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel. In this regard, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the only means to overcome regional crises and maintain regional and global security. Qatari delegation visits Emergency Management Department in Miami
MIAMI: As part of security cooperation and expertise exchange during the 2025 Club World Cup, and in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a delegation from the tournament's security force visited the Emergency Management Department in Miami, Florida, USA. The delegation was headed by Brigadier General Nawaf Majid Al Ali, Assistant Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) for Security Operations, and attended by Brigadier General Jassim Al Bu Hashim Al Sayed, Director General of Communications and Information Systems at the Ministry of Interior and Secretary to the Minister of Interior for Coordination and Follow-up. The delegation was received by Pete Gomez, Director of Emergency Management, and Raed Jadallah, Chief of the Miami Fire Department. They were briefed on the department's work and reviewed the efforts of the tournament security officers assigned to the Emergency Operations Center.
