Major lawsuits have been filed by both parties, and the official authorities have been pushing forward with investigations adamantly. Recently, it has been revealed that the Seoul Gangnam Police Station investigated and interrogated Kim Soo Hyun's official lawyer concerning the ongoing case and lawsuits. Kim Soo Hyun's legal representative was interrogated by the police As per reports from K-media news outlet Sports Donga, actor Kim Soo Hyun's lawyer has recently been interrogated by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station. On June 18, Attorney Bang Sung Hoon was summoned to the police station by the authorities concerning the defamation lawsuit filed by the 'It's Okay To Not Be Okay' actor against HoverLab CEO Kim Se Eui and the late Kim Sae Ron's family. The investigation has intensified after Kim Soo Hyun filed another lawsuit for spreading false information on June 23. As per a spokesperson from the police, shared in the reports, they are planning on setting up an interrogation with the suspect as well. The statement read, 'We plan to coordinate an appearance date with the suspect (Garosero) and conduct an investigation soon.' Why have the lawsuits been filed? Previously, Kim Sae Ron's family and HoverLab had held a press conference, where they had made claims that the deceased actress and Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship since she was a minor. The press conference was used to release an alleged audio of the actress sharing details about the relationship with a whistleblower. They also claimed that the alleged whistleblower was attacked by two individuals and was even offered money by Soo Hyun's agency to keep quiet and not release the audio file. The actor strongly denied the allegations, and the authorities officially debunked the audio and the claims about the alleged whistleblower being attacked. Kim Soo Hyun has filed lawsuits against Kim Sae Ron's family as well as HoverLab CEO Kim Se Eui on the grounds of defamation, stalking and spreading false information.

The two reportedly started dating in 2018 after working together on Stay With Me. Now, years after the controversy, Kim Jung Hyun has finally broken his silence. The scandal took a heavy toll on his career and public image. Kim admitted he felt wronged and deeply ashamed, but with time, realised it wasn't as painful as it once seemed. Host, Shin Dong Yup, mentioned that people sometimes go through times so tough that they feel too broken to get back up. Replying to that, Kim said, 'Honestly, I don't think I've been through anything that difficult. There were no hardships. But at the time, I did feel wronged, deeply ashamed — there were definitely a lot of emotions.' He looked cold, stiff, and distant throughout, even refusing to link arms with Seohyun — a common gesture in South Korea while promoting a show. Later, it was revealed he even behaved with hostility toward Seohyun on set. Dispatch, the South Korean news agency, exposed messages where Seo was reportedly instructing him to avoid physical contact with female co-stars. Fans even branded him with the nickname 'Kim Ddak Ddak,' meaning stiff or rigid in Korean, mocking his behaviour. However, Kim is now starting fresh. Back in May, he signed with a new agency, Management Siseon, and even won Best Actor at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards for Iron Family. While accepting the award, he said, 'Receiving this award and expressing gratitude is something I must do, but true gratitude cannot be achieved without reflecting on the past. Kim Soo Hyun has found himself at the centre of another scandal. As the dating scandal case between him and late actress Kim Sae Ron gained traction, a lot of companies cancelled their contracts with Soo Hyun. Not only that, many even sued the 'It's Okay To Not Be Okay' actor for damages caused by the case. One such cosmetic company applied to seize the actor's estate. The request was officially granted by a court recently. Kim Soo Hyun's property seized by a cosmetic company, worth millions of USD It was reported by ChosunBiz on June 11 that a popular cosmetic tools company had seized the actor's property. The request itself was filed on May 8 and was approved soon after by the Seoul Eastern District Court on May 20. Kim Soo Hyun's representative issues a statement The news was then confirmed by Bang Sung Hoon, legal representative of Kim Soo Hyun. The actor's side, however, called out the seizure and called it unlawful. As per reports from Koreaboo, they issued their statement that 'However, this seizure is unfair. Kim Soo Hyun is a victim of HOVERLAB . Although the issues lie with the assailants, the arrows are being pointed toward the victim simply because contractual obligations were not met.' The legal representative continued, stating that "From the perspective of the advertiser, they paid a model but cannot use the model for advertisement purposes, resulting in financial losses. This is undeniable. But who triggered this situation? It was HOVERLAB. If we can prove through the court proceedings that HOVERLAB made false claims, then Kim Soo Hyun's reputation will be restored and the advertisers will no longer have reason to pursue compensation for damages." About Kim Soo Hyun's property The actor owns 3 different apartment units in Galleria Forêt, one of the most sought-after and expensive complexes in the country. Only one of the three units has been seized by the cosmetic tool company. The property costs approximately 3 billion KRW, which amounts to around 2.2 million USD. The company had earlier claimed that the seizure request was made due to the fact that the actor had been unable to pay penalties and damage fees to the company after a contract breach. On the other hand, Kim Soo Hyun has also filed for seizure of real estate owned by HoverLab CEO Kim Se Eui . The YouTuber's assets were seized by the actor and cost approximately 12 billion KRW.
