Browns WR Jerry Jeudy lands at No. 82 in NFL Top 100

The NFL has begun unveiling its annual Top 100 players list, as voted on by the players, and the latest installment featured Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy at No. 82. Jeudy was acquired by the Browns last March in a trade with Denver and signed a three-year extension with the team shortly after, which has him tied to the team through the 2027 season. During his first season in Cleveland, Jeudy had a breakout campaign, setting career-highs in catches (90) and yards (1,229), and earned the first Pro Bowl selection of his career. New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston was featured in the NFL's segment on Jeudy and had high praise for his former teammate: 'His ability to stop on a dime and come back to the football and make guys miss was so impressive.' While Jeudy will be catching passes from a new signal-caller this upcoming season, he'll have an opportunity to build on his impressive first season with the team.

Jerry Jeudy excited to finally team up with 'great dude, great quarterback' Joe Flacco

BEREA — Jerry Jeudy and Joe Flacco finally found their way onto the same team with the Browns. It was a happening five years in the making. The Denver Broncos had released Flacco after one season in March 2020. They made Jeudy their first-round pick in the NFL draft the very next month. Advertisement That prevented the quarterback and the wide receiver from teaming up in the Mile High City. It didn't prevent Jeudy from learning about Flacco after the fact. "He actually left before I got there," Jeudy said after the Browns' OTA on Wednesday, May 28. "Yeah, he left before I got there, but I heard a lot of great things about him." Jeudy saw great things out of Flacco two years ago. That was despite the fact the wide receiver was still in Denver, while the quarterback was a November free-agent signing by Cleveland. Flacco was an observer from the Browns sideline after having just signed before a Week 12 loss to the Broncos that season. The next week, he took over as their starting quarterback, going 4-1 in December — including four consecutive 300-yard passing games — to lead them to the playoffs. Advertisement "I was watching it," Jeudy said. "I was watching it. I watched a few games so, yeah, I'm not surprised to see what Joe's been doing." Now, all these years later, Jeudy and Flacco have crossed paths — and the sixth-year wide receiver isn't going to let it go to waste, either. Jeudy's locker is located right next to the 18-year NFL quarterback. That has opened the door for the two to develop a bond off the field. "It been amazing," Jeudy said. "He's actually my locker mate, so I had some conversation with him from time to time. A great dude, great quarterback, been in the league for a long time, understands this, and I'm excited to have him." Advertisement One such conversation between Jeudy and Flacco took place before the two came out on the field for the Browns' second OTA practice May 28. Like so many of those conversations, it was, according to Jeudy, "a little bit of personal … something that I ain't going to say out here in the media. We just be talking." Flacco takes all of those conversation in stride. It's par for the course for a quarterback who's six years older than kicker Dustin Hopkins, the next-oldest player on the Browns roster at 34. The 40-year-old former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player said it's not uncommon for more than just Jeudy to seek out his advice. "I love that," Flacco said. "I was walking back to my locker, and three guys were sitting right there and I'm like, 'All right, what's the topic? What are we talking about?' And they usually tend to shut up and listen because they think I have some kind of wisdom because I'm old. I don't necessarily, at least on some of the things they're talking about, I'm not sure I do have the right kind knowledge about that, but it's a lot of fun." Advertisement Jeudy had heard something else about Flacco long before the two became teammates. It came from fellow University of Alabama product Amari Cooper, who was on the receiving end of so many of Flacco's throws in 2023. Cooper famously said Flacco's passes were like "poetry in motion." That comment was made after one of his first practices with the quarterback, while the Browns were in Los Angeles in late November 2023. "Yeah, I see exactly what he means," Jeudy said. "I see him out there every day so far, so I'm excited for Joe. I'm excited to play with him." Jerry Jeudy on Browns QB competition: I like it because it's making them better

While the Browns did not have much team success in 2024, receiver Jerry Jeudy had his best season as a pro, catching 90 passes for 1,229 yards with four touchdowns. He'd like to build on that in 2025, but first, Cleveland has to get its quarterback position settled. As the club's lead receiver, Jeudy said he doesn't mind the four-way battle between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders. 'I like it because that's just making each quarterback get better, competing against each other, really drive them to be the best version of themselves,' Jeudy said in his Wednesday press conference. 'So, you always want that as a quarterback — or four quarterbacks.' Since entering the league as the No. 15 overall pick in 2020, Jeudy has not had much consistency at QB. While he did have Russell Wilson as a starter from 2022-2023, the rest of his time as a pro has been marked by plenty of shifts at signal-caller. In an ideal world, that would change for Jeudy going forward. 'It's pretty difficult because you want to always build that relationship with a quarterback and have that consistency throughout the years,' Jeudy said. 'But as a receiver going through that, you've just got to keep working and learn how to adjust no matter what. Some situations aren't going to go as planned, so you've just got to figure out how to just keep going and stay on the right path.' For Jeudy, that just means being a friendly target to each of Cleveland's four QBs by getting open. He said it's been 'amazing' to work with Flacco so far, noting that he can see why Amari Cooper called it 'poetry in motion' when the Super Bowl XLVII MVP throws the ball. Jeudy also has established a rapport with Pickett, having worked out with him during the offseason. And as for the rookie QBs, Jeudy has been impressed so far. 'They're working hard,' Jeudy said. 'They're competing very well — very smart, athletic quarterbacks that know the game of football, know how to play the position real well. Very smart. I'm excited. They've got a bright future ahead of them.'

5 Browns players who could star in the Olympics flag football team

5 Browns players who could star in the Olympics flag football team The NFL officially announced that players could participate in the Olympics as part of the 5-on-5 flag football team. The league has been preparing its game for a global audience, and the Olympics is the perfect stage for the game. Of course, flag football doesn't capture the brutal physicality of the game, but it could capture most of the grace. The games will be played on 50-yard fields, and they will feature a women's event as well. Each team will have ten players on their roster. Fans of the Browns will likely see players participate in the Olympics. The team has a deep global representation, especially in Africa. Last year, the Browns were granted international marketing rights in Nigeria as part of the NFL's Global Marketing Program. The Browns will also play an away game in London, England, in 2025. The 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles will be an important event for the sport. The NFL wants to put its best foot forward. Here are five Browns players who could play in the Olympics. 1. David Njoku David Njoku was meant to be in the Olympics. The stylish playmaker could suit up for the United States or Nigeria. Njoku will be celebrating his 32nd birthday during the 2028 Olympics. Njoku would be a real threat in the passing game. His combination of size and speed should make him a super weapon against the amateur athletes he'll see in the Olympics. 2. Denzel Ward Denzel Ward is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He'll be 31 years old during the 2028 Olympics. In my opinion, he's the most dynamic cornerback in the NFL. His movement skills, agility, and speed are unrivaled at the position. His footwork in press coverage disrupts opposing receivers. Ward is usually attached to the hip of the receiver he's covering. The finesse style of flag football would help accentuate what Ward does best. 3. Jerry Jeudy Jerry Jeudy is one of the most electric route runners in the sport. Jeudy is a kinetic mover who makes violent cuts across the field. Last season, Jeudy proved he can be one of the most dangerous receiving threats in the league. His deep speed makes him a threat to score anytime. Jeudy's play style would stand out in flag football. He'll be 29 years old during the 2028 Olympics. 4. Ogbo Okoronkwo Ogbo Okoronkwo is a solid bet for the Olympics. While the event is 5-on-5, teams still need a pass rusher and a center. The center is an eligible receiver after the snap. Okoronkwo was born in Gainesville, Florida, but has developed many global connections. He's quietly one of the best ambassadors in football. Okoronkwo has worked with NFL International over the past few years and hopes to work in their London headquarters after he retires. Okoronkwo will be in the twilight years of his career during the 2028 Olympics. 5. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah would be the perfect rusher in flag football. There are few linebackers in NFL history with his urgency, agility, and quickness. His diverse skill set makes him a great coverage player and a dangerous blitzer. It's hard for me to believe that Owusu-Koramoah's playing career could be over. He was one of the most impressive Browns' defenders on a team full of freaks. Hopefully, Owusu-Koramoah can recover from his mysterious spine injury. He's still dedicated to the sport. He founded a global nonprofit organization, Natural Knowledge Wisdom Advancement (NKWA), which uses American football to promote the values of unity, abundance, and vitality. The organization primarily works in West Africa, but has expanded into the Middle East, the West Indies, and the United States. Owusu-Koramoah is one of the best global ambassadors in the sport. I'm sure he'll find a way to the Olympics as a player or a coach.

Heisman winner Travis Hunter list two Cleveland Browns players he wants to work with

Heisman winner Travis Hunter list two Cleveland Browns players he wants to work with The number one prospect in the 2025 NFL draft, Colorado's two-way star Travis Hunter, wants to work out with two Cleveland Browns superstars. In an interview with Bleacher Report, Heisman winner Hunter said he wants to work out with Browns' wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, cornerback Denzel Ward, and Broncos' cornerback Patrick Surtain II. Hunter said he used to slide into their messages trying to schedule a practice when he was younger. Hunter said that he grew up in South Florida watching Jeudy's highlights. Jeudy has been one of the most dynamic playmakers in football since college. When Jeudy arrived in Cleveland, he mentioned how important growing up in South Florida meant to him. Jeudy was excited to play with his South Florida idol Amari Cooper. The Browns have successfully scouted the area for receiver talent. Hunter could be the next receiver from South Florida. At the NFL Combine, general manager Andrew Berry told the media the team views Hunter primarily as a receiver. The Browns are deep at cornerback as Denzel Ward continues to lock down the opponent's passing attacks. Hunter is wise to be inspired by the All-Pro snub. There are a lot of flashes of Ward's game when Hunter plays. Hunter has the quick feet and smooth hips to excel at soft press coverage. Hunter's change of direction skills and his physicality when tackling are also reminiscent of the Browns' cornerback. Hunter is the top cornerback and receiver prospect in the 2025 NFL draft. Hunter said he hasn't worked out with any of the stars just yet. Hunter could be working with Jeudy and Ward every day in practice. The Browns will strongly consider selecting the best player in the draft, even if his positional values are weak.
