Emmy-winning Detroit TV reporter's home searched by authorities amid sexual harassment probe
The investigator becomes the investigated. Authorities in Detroit searched the home of an Emmy-winning television reporter who co-hosts a podcast with a Los Angeles Rams player's wife following alleged sexual misconduct. 3 Television reporter Hank Winchester's home was searched by authorities following reports of alleged unwanted sexual advances with a man during a massage. hankwinchester/Instagram Hank Winchester, an investigative reporter at the NBC-affiliated WDIV Local 4 station and host of HelpMeHank, is married to Oakland County Circuit Judge Jacob Cunningham, according to Winchester's Instagram. The two also share a young daughter. Beverly Hills Police searched his home alongside the Oakland County Sheriff's Office while executing a search warrant related to alleged unwanted sexual advances Winchester made toward a man during a massage, as reported by Fox 2. Winchester also co-hosts 'The Morning After' podcast with Kelly Stafford, who is married to LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. The show occasionally features high-profile guests employed by media powerhouses like Access Hollywood and ESPN. 3 Winchester hosts HelpMeHank at WDIV Local 4. hankwinchester/Instagram Before joining the Rams, Matthew Stafford played for the Detroit Lions from 2009 to 2020. Winchester has been close with the entire family for years, he wrote in a farewell to the Staffords when they moved to LA in 2021. Winchester was also placed on administrative leave as a result of the 'external investigation,' WDIV Vice President Bob Ellis wrote in a statement. 3 Winchester co-hosts 'The Morning After' podcast Kelly Stafford. hankwinchester/Instagram Todd Flood, Winchester's attorney, is confident the probe will flop. 'Hank has spent decades bringing truth to our community and fighting for our citizens. Because he holds a high-profile position in our community, that can at times generate false accusations. This investigation will end where it began – nowhere,' he wrote. No charges have been filed. The investigation is still ongoing. Winchester isn't the only media figure to find himself facing similar allegations in recent months. In April, a disgraced weatherman in Virginia was arrested after allegedly making a sex tape and using it to extort his victims. Last year, a Louisiana television anchor resigned after he was caught sexting who he thought was a 15-year-old girl but was in reality a vigilante trio dubbed the 'predator hunters.'

South Carolina man breaks into ex-girlfriend's home, hides in shower with knife claiming prank
A 25-year-old South Carolina man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home, hiding in her shower, and ambushing her with a kitchen knife while partially unclothed — a move he claimed was intended as a "prank" to 'lighten the mood' following a prior argument. The man, identified as Jackson Collum Arnold, now faces charges of burglary, assault and battery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, the Charleston Police Department confirmed. He is currently being held at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Centre, as reported by ABC News. (Also read: Missouri man ends up in hospital after 15-hour train journey in India: 'Never again') Police responded to a 911 call shortly after midnight on Saturday regarding a disturbance at a residence on Westway Drive on James Island. Upon arrival, officers encountered Arnold at the scene wearing only jeans. The confrontation had escalated into what the victim later described as a "terrifying" ordeal. According to NBC-affiliated WCBD, Arnold allegedly broke into the detached garage apartment of his ex-girlfriend using a faulty side door lock while she was away. He then concealed himself in the shower wearing nothing but a grey sweatshirt, a baseball cap, glasses — and her black biker shorts pulled over the lower part of his face. He was otherwise nude from the waist down. Police later found his underwear discarded in the shower. The woman had been at the main house having dinner and returned to the apartment, only to be confronted by an apparent intruder. The man, masked with her shorts and wielding a kitchen knife, allegedly raised the blade to the side of her head. Fearing for her life and 'the possibility of being raped,' she shoved him away. Arnold then allegedly forced her back toward the door and mimicked slitting her throat without making contact. He reportedly dropped the knife and began choking her with his left hand, causing her vision to blur. 'The victim was able to remove the shorts from the unknown male's face; it was at that time she realised it was her ex-boyfriend, Jackson Arnold,' the police report stated. (Also read: US man accused of killing 12-year-old son with baseball bat, attempting to murder daughter) Arnold allegedly told the woman it was all a joke and that he 'wanted to talk.' He then suggested she inform her mother she was fine, assuming she had heard the commotion. Seizing the opportunity, the victim ran into the main house and her family called 911. Police later determined Arnold had no permission to be on the property, had never lived there, and did not have a key. He is suspected to have parked several hundred feet away and left his phone behind to avoid detection. Authorities have yet to recover the knife used in the incident. Arnold's first court appearance is scheduled for June.

Man Breaks Into Ex's Home, Hides In Shower Half-Naked With Knife As "Prank"
A 25-year-old South Carolina man was arrested after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home, hid in her shower, and then came out half-naked, wielding a kitchen knife. He claimed it was a prank to "lighten the mood" following an argument. Jackson Collum Arnold was taken into custody early Sunday morning and charged with burglary, assault and battery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the Charleston Police Department. He is currently at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Centre, ABC News reported. Police were called just after midnight Saturday to a home on Westway Drive on James Island after a 911 call reporting a physical disturbance. Officers arrived to find Arnold at the scene wearing jeans, but the situation quickly turned into what the victim described as a terrifying attack. Arnold broke into his ex-girlfriend's detached garage apartment while she was not home, according to the incident report cited by NBC-affiliated WCBD. He allegedly entered through a malfunctioning side door lock and waited for her in the shower. He covered the lower part of his face with her black biker shorts and wore only a baseball cap, eyeglasses, and a grey sweatshirt. He was otherwise nude from the waist down. His underwear was later found in the shower by officers. The victim, heading into the main house for dinner, said she returned to find what she believed to be an unknown man approaching her. The suspect, wearing her shorts as a mask, allegedly held a knife up toward the side of her head. In fear for her life and "the possibility of being raped," she pushed him away. Arnold then allegedly pushed her toward the door and imitated slitting her throat by moving the knife across her neck without making contact. The report says that he threw the knife to the floor and began choking her with his left hand, causing her vision to become "foggy." "The victim was able to remove the shorts from the unknown male's face; it was at that time she realised it was her ex-boyfriend, Jackson Arnold," the police report said. Arnold told the woman that it was a prank and he wanted to talk, according to the police. Arnold then allegedly suggested she go tell her mother she was okay, assuming she had heard the commotion. Seizing the opportunity, the woman ran into the main house and asked her family to call 911. Authorities found that Arnold had no legal right to be at the home, never lived there, and did not have a key. He was also there "without permission." Investigators suspect he parked several hundred feet away and left his phone behind. Police were unable to locate the knife allegedly used in the incident. He was booked at the detention centre on Sunday. His first court appearance is scheduled for June. According to police, Arnold admitted he wanted to "surprise" his on-again, off-again girlfriend to "lighten the mood" after the two had exchanged heated texts earlier that evening.
