The Magic Of 720/720 On July 26, 2024, the NTA released revised results for an examination. Following a Supreme Court ruling that rescinded grace marks and designated option 4 as the correct answer to a physics question, the number of students achieving a perfect score of 720 dropped from 67 to 17. Prachita remained among the top scorers despite this revision. Prachita Focused On NCERT Revealing her secret, Prachita told that she read and revised NCERT books again and again to prepare for one of the toughest exams. Especially, she understood every line in Biology. 90% of NEET questions come from NCERT only and she considered this as her strength. She also took coaching from an institute in Jaipur and gave regular mock tests which increased her accuracy. NEET Preparation Tips: Study For 10-12 Hours Prachita told in a media interview that she used to study for 10-12 hours daily, but took short breaks in every two hours to refresh her mind. She also used to give equal time to Physics, Chemistry and Biology every day. For her practice, Prachita solved last 10 years papers of NEET, which helped her understand the pattern of questions. Doing MBBS from AIIMS Jodhpur Prachita has enrolled in the MBBS program at AIIMS Jodhpur. Aspiring to be a cardiologist, she aims to treat heart disease patients, bringing honour to her family. She advises NEET candidates to prioritise NCERT textbooks in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, recommending regular mock tests and diligent error correction to improve speed and exam performance, given the exam's 180 questions within a three-hour timeframe.

Who is NEET Topper Mazin Mansoor? Born in a family of doctors, Mazin Mansoor aspired to follow in the footsteps of his father and other relatives, from an early age. Mazin's father is a pediatrician at a state-run hospital in Saudi Arabia, while his maternal uncle, maternal aunt, maternal grandfather and grandfather are also doctors. Additionally, his brother is pursuing a BDS degree at the Sarjug Dental College Darbhangha and is now in his fourth year. Moved to Bihar Board from CBSE because… After clearing his Class 10th exams, Mazin Mansoor made a bold choice to shift to a school which operated under the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), even as CBSE is generally considered to be a good choice for aspirants who wish to take competitive exams. In an interview, Mazin revealed that idea behind his choice to shift to BSEB was that it would provide him more time to prepare for NEET as the Bihar Board, unlike the CBSE, does not have any practical and assignments for Class 12th final exams. 'I realized that whatever your score is in board exams does not matter in competitive exams. I changed to BSEB so I did not have to stress about submitting assignments and practical tests, which is required for every subject in CBSE class 12th,' he said. Mazin Mansoor passed Bihar Board 2024 Class 12 exams with flying colours, scoring an impressive 87% marks, and later cleared the NEET UG exams in the same year, sharing the AIR 1 with 16 other students by obtaining 99.997129 percentile. Mazin's AIR for counselling in the June 2024 result was 1.05, which has now improved to 1.03 after the results were revised. Mazin Mansoor NEET preparation strategy Talking about his preparation for NEET UG 2024, Mazin Mansoor revealed that after class 10th, he joined a coaching institute in Bihar, and followed coaching modules and NCERT textbooks to augment his studies. 'Coaching classes ended by 1 pm, after that I would go head to my room to revise what I had learnt,' the 18-year-old said. Mazin further revealed that he solved mock tests, prioritizing Biology first, then Chemistry and finally Physics. However, he later realized that his strategy was not working, which made him change his approach by taking on Chemistry first, then Biology and lastly Physics.

Last year, the toppers list of NEET UG 2024 was revised, after which his counseling rank improved. Earlier his counseling rank was 1.05, which later became 1.03. Apart from Mazin, names of 16 other students were also included in this list in NEET UG exam. His percentile was 99.997129. A native of Darbhanga, Bihar, 18-year-old Mazin comes from a family of doctors. His father is a pediatrician and works in a government hospital in Saudi Arabia. Similarly, his maternal uncle, maternal aunt, maternal grandfather and grandfather are also doctors. His brother is doing BDS in Sarjug Dental College, Darbhanga and is in the fourth year. From CBSE to Bihar Board Interestingly, CBSE is considered good for competitive exams, but Mazin left CBSE after 10th and shifted to Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The reason behind this was that he had told in an interview that he did not want to take the burden of preparing for the board exam. Mazin told that practicals and assignments have to be submitted for every subject in CBSE, but there are no practicals in the final exam in Bihar Board. He said that I knew that the board marks do not matter much in the long run, so I did not take extra tension of practicals and assignments in 12th. Mazin scored 87 per cent marks in the 12th examination of Bihar Board 2024. After 10th, Mazin took admission in a coaching institute in Bihar. He used to follow the coaching modules and NCERT textbooks. Mazin said that due to coaching, my preparation was going well. I did not have any backlog. Coaching used to end by 1 pm, then I used to go to my room and study biology, chemistry and physics. They did not set a time limit, but tried to complete a topic in the stipulated time. Mazin says that due to coaching he was saved from distractions. During mock tests, Mazin adopted the strategy of solving Biology first, then Chemistry and finally Physics. Later he felt that this method is not correct. Then he changed his approach – first Chemistry, then Biology and finally Physics. He benefited more with this method. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has allowed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to go ahead and declare the NEET UG 2025 results, but with a key restriction. The NTA cannot release results for 11 exam centres in Indore that were affected by a power cut on exam day, May decision came after a petition was filed by a student who claimed her NEET UG performance was disrupted due to the outage. Earlier, the court had paused the announcement of NEET UG results 2025 across the country until the matter was on Friday, Justice Subodh Abhyankar revised that order after hearing arguments from Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Deputy Solicitor General Himanshu UG COUNSELLING A PRIORITY The justices pointed out that only 11 centres in Indore were impacted, and there was no reason to delay the results for the rest of India. They requested that the NTA be allowed to release NEET results for all unaffected centres so that students don't miss out on the other side, the petitioner's lawyer argued that if she didn't get a timely re-exam, she might miss the NEET UG 2025 counselling court finally ruled in favour of the NTA's request, saying: 'The respondents may be allowed to declare the results for all the other centres in India, except the affected centres at Indore, in which the power failure was faced by the students.'advertisementThe court also asked the NTA to submit details of those specific centres while filing their response. The next hearing is scheduled for Monday, May NTA is also dealing with separate action against over 250 students and aspirants for using unfair means in the NEET UG 2024 exam.
