Lauren Phillips has revealed she has had to say goodbye to a beloved member of her family. The radio presenter, 41, shared on Instagram on Monday that her dog Roxy had died. The Nova star posted a sweet photo of her beloved dog lying down on a beanbag in their family home. 'Bye bye Roxy Girl. Have fun chasing balls in the big dog park in the sky,' she wrote. 'I'm glad I got out in time to say goodbye to our family doggo. You were the best girl,' Lauren said. Posting an image of the blazer and her badges, Lauren said her mother had kept the uniform after 20 years. Lauren's nostalgic post comes amid a planned stunt by the Nova breakfast team to 'relive' their high school years. Nova announced co-host Clint Stanaway will join Lauren and Jason 'Jase' Hawkins as they broadcast their show from a bus travelling the Glenn Waverley area. Along the way, the team planned to stop at Clint's old school Glen Waverley High and Lauren's Wesley College. It continues a 'nostalgic kick' by the Nova breakfast team that began in February when the Jase and Lauren Show Instagram account shared a throwback snap of Lauren. Paying tribute to all the children starting school in 2025, the photo showed the radio star looking unrecognisable in junior school at Wesley. The photo showed Lauren flashing the camera quite the cheeky grin as she posed in her school uniform. The future radio star looked cute-as-a-button in the snap, which also showed her adding a pop of colour to her uniform with a purple scrunchie. It wasn't just Lauren that was given the throwback treatment either, with the account also sharing adorable childhood photos of co-hosts Jase Hawkins and Clint Stanaway.

‘Very nervous': Radio star Jase Hawkins admits fears after conceiving son via Melbourne's error-plagued Monash IVF clinic
Nova star Jase Hawkins has expressed fear for his and his wife's embryos at Monash IVF after a second major blunder plagued the Melbourne clinic this year. The fertility clinic in the Melbourne suburb of Clayton on Tuesday revealed it mistakenly transferred the wrong embryo into a patient. It comes just months after the company admitted one of its patients gave birth to a stranger's child in a shocking embryo mix-up in April. Hawkins, 42, on Wednesday revealed he and his wife Lou conceived their youngest son Archie via the fertility clinic. One-half of Nova 100's Jase & Lauren said the couple still has embryos stored there in case they decide to have more children. However, he said he now doesn't 'trust' the clinic after the blunder and will have a 'conversation' with Lou about taking them off the ice. 'I'm not trying to be dramatic, but I'm like, I don't trust them sitting in that freezer at the moment,' Hawkins told his co-host Lauren Phillips. 'It just made me think last night, well, I think we need to speed up that conversation about what we want to do with them. 'Because, at the moment, I don't trust the current situation.' Hawkins reassured listeners the couple are sure they aren't the victims of an embryo mix-up with Archie, who they said looks a lot like his older brother, Felix. 'He's a dead set ringer for his we're pretty sure we're good there,' the radio star said Nevertheless, he said there was an 'icky feeling in his guts' after hearing about Monash IVF's latest muddle-up. "As someone who's gone through it (IVF), like it was such a, such a personal experience," he said. "And whatever company you go through for something like, there's that trust that you have." Last Thursday, the Melbourne clinic accidentally put a patient's own embryo into a patient rather than an embryo from their partner as planned. 'Monash IVF has extended its sincere apologies to the affected couple, and we continue to support them,' a spokesperson said. 'Commencing immediately, Monash IVF will implement interim additional verification processes and patient confirmation safeguards over and above normal practice and electronic witness systems to ensure patients and clinicians have every confidence in its processes. 'Whilst industry-leading electronic witness systems have and are being rolled out across Monash IVF, there remains instances and circumstances whereby manual witnessing is required.' 'Monash IVF has disclosed the incident to the relevant assisted reproductive technology (ART) regulators, namely the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee certifying body and Victorian Health Regulator.' The company's previous incident, reported in April, occurred at its Brisbane facility in 2023. Monash IVF blamed a 'human error' as the reason for the embryo mix-up which led to a birth. 'Instead of finding the expected number of embryos, an additional embryo remained in storage for the birth parents,' a Monash IVF spokesperson said. '(An) investigation confirmed that an embryo from a different patient had previously been incorrectly thawed and transferred to the birth parents, which resulted in the birth of a child.' It was not until February, months after the mother gave birth, that Monash IVF realised the mistake. Chief Michael Knapp, at the time, said he was "truly sorry" for what had happened and was "confident that this is an isolated incident". A Victoria government spokesperson said the government requested Monash IVF explain what happened in Brisbane to reassure all families.

I thought that was the end of my radio career,' she told in July. 'Late last year I was ready to leave the country and move overseas. I was like, "I'm out of here".' When Nova approached the radio duo for a breakfast show opportunity, Lauren revealed she was initially hesitant to get on board and explained she was worried of facing the axe again. 'I had a pretty bad taste in my mouth and I was scared of that happening again,' she said.

'Kick in the bum to any athlete': Australia's Olympic golden girl Ariarne Titmus slams controversial Enhanced Games
Australian Olympic legend Ariarne Titmus has unleashed on the Enhanced Games, which allows the use of performance-enhancing drugs, calling it a "kick in the bum" to athletes who dedicate their lives to clean competition. Dubbed the "steroid Olympics", the Enhanced Games announced its inaugural competition on Thursday, slated to take place in Las Vegas from May 21–24, 2026. The event will feature categories including swimming, track and field, and weightlifting, with no drug testing enforced. Founded by Australian businessman Aron D'Souza, the event has already attracted interest from athletes like retired Aussie swimmer James "The Missile" Magnussen, who is preparing to race against others willing to use enhancements, including Greek sprinter Kristian Gkolomeev, who recently broke the 50m freestyle world record. But Titmus, one of Australia's most celebrated athletes, is having none of it. Joining Nova 100's Jase & Lauren on Thursday morning, the nine-time gold medallist said she'd "never heard of" Gkolomeev in her life and admitted she "doesn't like" the premise of the Enhanced Games. "This is a bit of a kick in the bum to any athlete who's ever worked their whole life to train," she said. "I mean, everyone's, you know, obviously able to have their own opinion, but I don't like it." When asked by co-host and Channel Nine sports presenter Clint Stanaway if the concept made her feel "sick" given how hard she works, Titmus opened up about the daily grind clean athletes endure. "We have to go through so many processes to be clean- you know, all the whereabouts, the drug testing, saying where we sleep every night for the drug testers to arrive. "You've got to do so much to make sure you're clean. It's just, I don't know, a bit of a… Yeah." The 24-year-old said she believed "most people" in the swimming community would share her stance. In a lighter moment, the Olympic star shared that she keeps her medals stored away and often reflects on what they mean to her younger self. "I think of little eight-year-old Arnie, she'd be like 'wow'," she said. Currently taking a break from competitive swimming, Titmus revealed she's enjoying life outside the pool, and even had her first glass of wine with her parents. "I've had a glass of wine with my mum and dad for dinner for the first time in my whole life, just because," she laughed. Retirement is not on her mind, as she confirmed her intention to compete in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. "Part of the reason why I've taken the break (is) just to let it all sink in and live life and just do things that I've never got to be able to do' she said. "...I'll have to get back in (to the pool) soon."

Kyle & Jackie O Show land massive win in Melbourne amid ratings war - after Kyle Sandilands threatens to pull the show if listeners don't tune in
Kyle Sandilands may have threatened to pull The Kyle & Jackie O Show from Melbourne on Wednesday morning, but it seems the shock jock is now here to stay following a huge ratings win in the city. The KIIS FM breakfast radio show, which under-performed in the Victorian capital during its multimillion dollar expansion last year, has had nothing but wins in the 2025 ratings war so far. After a 0.1 per cent increase in market share during survey one, Sydney 's hit duo Kyle, 53, and Jackie 'O' Henderson landed another 0.7 per cent of the Melbourne audience in GfK survey two which released on Thursday. Kyle originally told his Victorian listeners on Wednesday morning he had no plans to 'super serve Melbourne and ignore our Sydney audience' to increase ratings in the south. 'You either glue on in Melbourne or you [expletive]. One or the other. Here's something I haven't even discussed with Jackie... if we don't rate better by the end of this year, I'm pulling the carpet out,' he threatened. 'I'll just take the show off Melbourne... We're not just going to suck Melbourne off all day, every day.' Whether it was Kyle's expletive-filled threat, or The Kyle & Jackie O Show's recently successful local broadcast at St Kilda Beach, the Sydney show has now achieved the biggest Breakfast market share growth in the latest survey. While the show seems to be in a steady incline, now sitting at a 5.8 per cent market share, Kyle and Jackie, 50, still have a ways to go before they reach the top of the scoreboard in Melbourne. AM still reigns supreme in overall Melbourne Breakfast radio with Nine's talkback station 3AW, though the show has taken a hit this survey with a 1.8 per cent drop to 18.8. Gold 104.3's The Christian O'Connell Show is still barely holding onto the FM Breakfast lead at 10.8, down 0.7. Meanwhile, Kyle and Jackie's rivals ex-KIIS FM stars Jason 'Jase' Hawkins and Lauren Phillips are fighting to get back into the FM lead with their Nova 100 show, now sitting at 10.2, up 0.1 per cent. Former number one show Fifi, Fev and Nick at Fox FM has lost yet another point, dropping down to 8.3 from 8.4 last survey in a steady decline. Triple M's Mick in the Morning with Roo, Titus and Rosie and smoothfm 91.5 have switched places, with Triple M dropping by 0.6 to 7.3 as smoothfm slides in with 7.6, up 0.1 per cent. This leaves Kyle and Jackie to move up a place to 5.8, taking over ABC Melbourne on AM, which has dropped by 0.7 to 5.6. 'Fifty consecutive surveys at number one in Sydney is an extraordinary achievement and a true reflection of Kyle and Jackie O's enduring connection with their audience,' ARN's Chief Content Officer Duncan Campbell said. 'While the show continues to dominate in its home market, we're seeing positive signs in Melbourne, with two consecutive surveys showing strong increases in both awareness and audience. 'This consistent growth since January is clear evidence that our strategy is working. We remain confident in the strength of the brand and the content.' Last year, Kyle and Jackie took their radio show to Melbourne in a huge multimillion dollar expansion deal. The move triggered the axing of Jase and Lauren's own KIIS FM breakfast show, which Sandilands said he was indifferent about. 'No, I don't care. That's why we went for Melbourne, we were like, "We've given this Jase and Lauren on KIIS FM a good run, it can't get over fourth in the radio ratings, so we'll take it,"' he told at the time. He added The Kyle & Jackie O Show was moved to Melbourne because it was a 'market in trouble' and their program could help regain listeners. But Kyle and Jackie struggled to capture the Melbourne market in their first year. In November, Kyle vowed to reduce the graphic sexual content on his KIIS FM radio show in 2025 to appeal to the Melbourne audience more broadly. In a bid to make a dent in the market, Campbell said Kyle will have to dial back on the 'smut' and inappropriate on-air remarks. 'The sexual content was really a small part of the show,' he told Mumbrella at the time. 'Because it was graphic, it grabbed everyone's attention—but [Kyle's] taken that off, really. It's still sexual content. But not the graphic sexual content that it once was.' Campbell also told the outlet Kyle 'came to the table' with toning down on the graphic content. 'He agreed to do that, which was a real positive,' he added. 'And, I mean, he wants to win in Melbourne. There's no doubt about that.' Elsewhere, the CCO also promised their marketing tactics will be 'less brash and unapologetic'. 'We believe, with the removal of the graphic sexual content, the show's much, much easier to listen to now,' he said.
