Real Madrid vs Juventus predictions: Club World Cup tips and odds
Our expert has three tips for Tuesday's Club World Cup round-of-16 tie between Real Madrid and Juventus at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida Gardens (kick-off, 8pm BST). We think Madrid should comfortably secure their spot in the quarter-finals. Real Madrid vs Juventus tips Madrid to win and over 2.5 goals @ 7/5 with Paddy Power Vinicius Junior to score @ 13/8 with Paddy Power Alberto Costa to be carded @ 13/5 with Paddy Power Odds courtesy of Paddy Power. Madrid improving under Alonso Both in terms of scorelines and performances, Real Madrid got better as the group stage of the Club World Cup went on, and they should be too strong for a wounded Juventus side who were crushed 5-2 by Manchester City last time out. After a gritty 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal, Madrid eased to a 3-1 win over Pachuca despite going down to 10 men after just seven minutes, but they saved their best performance for last – a controlling and confident 3-0 defeat of Salzburg. Having played in a 3-5-2 set-up for that game, with marauding wing-backs – something that proved problematic for Juve in their loss to City – Real are already establishing an identity under Xabi Alonso. Juventus rotated their line-up for the defeat by City but the manner of the loss was still unacceptable and their defence, which will not be helped here by the absence of the injured Nicolo Savona, could again buckle against the Spaniards. Madrid to win and over 2.5 goals – which has been a winner in their last two games – looks like a decent bet at 7/5. Vinicius primed to strike There are some decent odds-against options in the goalscorer prices for this game but Vinicius Junior perhaps offers the best value at 13/8, especially with the Super Sub promotion active for this market. If Alonso chooses to stick with the 3-5-2 from the last game, Vinicius could once again play as part of a front two, most likely with Gonzalo Garcia given Kylian Mbappe will probably be on the bench, and the Brazilian could get more opportunities to strike at goal. He scored in the 3-0 win over Salzburg and is averaging 1.7 shots per game in the tournament, while he bagged 11 goals in La Liga and eight in the Champions League last term. Costa card looks a smart bet Juventus wing-back Alberto Costa had a torrid time of it against Jeremy Doku in the City defeat, committing two fouls before he was hooked after 56 minutes by Igor Tudor. Despite that display, the 21-year-old is likely to start against Real Madrid and is a nice price at 13/5 to be carded, again making use of the Super Sub promotion with Paddy Power. Costa is averaging two fouls per game at the Club World Cup and this time around he will probably be up against Trent Alexander-Arnold, who drew fouls in the wins over Salzburg and Pachuca. Juve have already collected six yellow cards in this tournament and Costa, who picked up three cards in just six Serie A appearances last term, is a prime candidate to go into the book. Which bookies are offering Free Bets ahead of Jake Paul vs Julio Chavez Jr
Social media personality Jake Paul returns to the boxing scene to face Julio Chavez Jr at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California Jake Paul returns to the boxing spotlight, stepping into the ring for the first time since his notable victory over the legendary Mike Tyson last November. In that match, Paul secured a unanimous decision against the 58-year-old icon. Now, he faces a new challenge on Saturday night in Anaheim, squaring off against former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr, now 39, claimed his title back in 2011 after defeating John Duddy and successfully defended it five times before losing it to Sergio Martinez in 2012. Chavez Jr's most recent bout was in July 2024, where he fought on the undercard of Jake Paul's match against Mike Perry. He faced off against former UFC fighter Uriah Hall and emerged victorious by unanimous decision, paving the way for this upcoming clash with Paul. Despite Chavez Jr's credentials as a former world champion and his extensive experience in the ring, betting odds paint him as a significant underdog against Paul. This fight marks an opportunity for Chavez Jr to notch his 55th career win and perhaps defy expectations. Flamengo vs Bayern Munich predictions: Club World Cup tips and odds
Our expert has three tips for Sunday's Club World Cup round-of-16 tie between Flamengo and Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida (kick-off, 8pm BST). We're expecting a tight game between two teams who fared well in the group stage. Flamengo vs Bayern Munich tips Odds courtesy of Paddy Power. Game will be tighter than odds suggest Bayern Munich are clear favourites at 4/6, which may be underestimating Flamengo a little. The Brazilians won Group D, beating Chelsea 3-1 in their second group game. Chelsea had Nicolas Jackson sent off in that match but Flamengo had already fought back from being a goal down to lead 2-1 by that stage. Having won their first two fixtures, their manager Filipe Luis was able to rest players for the final game against Los Angeles FC, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Bayern also rotated their line-up when they faced Benfica in their final match, but the move backfired as they lost 1-0 and finished second in Group C. This game should be tighter than the odds suggest and for my first bet I'm going with the scores to be level at half-time. Flamengo favourites to edge card count Flamengo's clash with Chelsea serves as a good comparison for this contest, with the Brazilians once again facing top-class European opposition. The Mengao more than held their own in that game, enjoying 51.5 per cent of play and picking up three yellow cards. I would expect Bayern to be able to dictate the possession more than Chelsea were able to, putting the onus on Flamengo to recover the ball. Bayern have only picked up one yellow card so far across their three matches, so it seems likely that the South American side will receive the most bookings. Olise hitting new heights at Bayern Bayern Munich's Michael Olise is the joint-top scorer in this tournament with three goals. The winger scored twice in the 10-0 thrashing of Auckland City and also found the net in the 2-1 victory over Boca Juniors. He started on the bench for the Bavarians' third match against Benfica, coming on at half-time. These goals have taken the 23-year-old's tally for his first season at Bayern to 20 in 53 appearances. With Olise also notching his first two international goals for France this year, odds of 7/2 look generous for the dangerous forward to get on the scoresheet again. Benfica vs Chelsea predictions: Club World Cup tips and odds
Our expert tipster has three tips for Saturday's Club World Cup last-16 clash between Benfica and Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina (kick-off, 9pm BST). We think the Primeira Liga club could pull off another upset. Benfica vs Chelsea tips Benfica draw no bet @ 31/20 with Paddy Power Angel Di Maria to have a shot on target @ evens with Paddy Power Liam Delap to be carded @ 13/5 with Paddy Power Odds courtesy of Paddy Power. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change. Already a Paddy Power member? Check out more free bets from the best betting sites, reviewed by our experts. Benfica could spring a surprise Benfica raised eyebrows with their resolute 1-0 win over a much-changed Bayern Munich side in their final group game at the Club World Cup and they could again defy the odds when they take on Chelsea in the last 16. In temperatures reaching 40C in Charlotte, Benfica kept compact and frustrated Bayern, even after key personnel such as Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich came on. A similar approach is expected against Chelsea, who eased past ES Tunis 3-0 in their final group game but lost 3-1 to Flamengo and were underwhelming in their 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC in Group D. Enzo Maresca has used this tournament as a means to experiment a bit but any complacency against Benfica, who have not lost any of their last 16 games in normal time, could be punished. At 31/20, Benfica are worth selecting in the draw no bet market, in which stakes are returned if the match finishes level. Veteran Di Maria worth a shot The combination play between Fredrik Aursnes, Gianluca Prestianni and Angel Di Maria down the right was key for Benfica against Bayern Munich, so Bruno Lage may not want to dislodge any of those players from his starting XI. And if Di Maria does start against Chelsea, he is worth a bet at evens to have a shot on target. Di Maria often likes to cut inside, providing Aursnes with the chance to overlap, but the Argentinian also likes to have shots at goal himself, having averaged 3.3 shots per game in the group stage and 2.5 in the Primeira Liga last season. The 37-year-old had one shot on target in each of the games with Bayern Munich and Boca Juniors, either side of having four efforts on target against Auckland City. This wager also makes use of the Super Sub promotion. Caution can pay in case of Delap It is no secret that physicality and aggression have become key parts of Liam Delap's game up front and he is overpriced at 13/5 to pick up a card against Benfica. The Chelsea forward is set to start again in the absence of the suspended Nicolas Jackson and only Antoine Semenyo (73) committed more fouls than his 72 for Ipswich in the Premier League last term. He also picked up a league-high 12 yellow cards and has already been cautioned once at the Club World Cup. He is likely to be up against veteran defender Nicolas Otamendi, who likes to step forward out of defence to close forwards down, so expect a few tussles between the pair and a potential booking for Delap.
