Elijah Berman, a 17-year-old committed to Eastern Michigan University, passes away after his motorcycle collides with a semi-truck

The Warren County Coroner's Office confirmed the identity of the teenager as Elijah Berman of Dayton. The principal of the High School released a statement, 'It is with broken hearts that our community comes together to embrace the family and friends of senior student Elijah Berman who tragically died on Tuesday evening.' A 1995 Peterbilt 379 semi-truck was driving down the ramp from the highway when it hit a 2006 Suzuki DL1000 motorcycle in Franklin. The motorcycle was driving south on Ohio 123 in the intersection. After the collision, the semi-truck hit a raised median divider and overturned. The motorcycle overturned and came to a halt at the raised median divider. Elijah Berman was the one driving the 2006 Suzuki DL1000 motorcycle. 95-year-old woman killed in Pike County crash
Apr. 24—Two injured in three-vehicle accident SEAL TOWNSHIP — A 95-year-old woman was killed and two were injured in a crash in Pike County on April 17. Leona Pertuset, 95, of Peebles, died Monday from her injuries from the three-vehicle accident three days earlier, the Ohio State Highway patrol reported. At 4:08 p.m. on April 17, the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol received a call of an injury crash involving a commercial vehicle at the intersection of State Route 32 and U.S. 23. A 2017 Cadillac CTS was northbound on U.S. 23 and failed to yield from the stop sign at State Route 32. A 2007 Peterbilt 379 series truck was headed eastbound on State Route 32, and struck the Cadillac, which spun into a 2011 Kia Sorento waiting to turn from State Route 32 onto U.S. 23 northbound. The driver of the 2017 Cadillac CTS, James Pertuset, 93, of Peebles, was transported to Ohio State University Medical Center Columbus for injuries sustained from the crash. His passenger, Leona Pertuset, was transported to Ohio State University Medical Center Columbus, Ohio for injuries sustained from the crash. She died on Monday. Tyler Walton, 29, of Wellston, was driving the 2007 Peterbilt 379 series truck and reported no injuries at the crash scene. Annette Peck, 63, of Wheelersburg, Ohio was driving the 2011 Kia Sorento, reported non-life-threatening injuries on scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Seal Township Fire Department, Portsmouth Ambulance, and Pike County Sheriff's Department.

A 2017 Cadillac CTS was northbound on U.S. 23 and failed to yield from the stop sign at Ohio 32. A 2007 Peterbilt 379 series truck was eastbound on Ohio 32, striking the Cadillac CTS. The Cadillac spun into a 2011 Kia Sorento waiting to turn from Ohio 32 onto U.S. 23 northbound. Driver of the 2017 Cadillac CTS, James Pertuset, 93, of Peebles, was transported to The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus for injuries sustained from the crash. Passenger of the 2017 Cadillac CTS, Leona Pertuset 95, of Peebles, was also taken to The Ohio State University Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. She succumbed to her injuries at 5:05 p.m., Monday, April 21. Tyler Walton, 29, of Wellston, was driving the 2007 Peterbilt 379 series truck and reported no injuries at the crash scene. Annette Peck, 63, of Wheelersburg, was driving the 2011 Kia Sorento reported non-life-threatening injuries on scene. Fatal crash near Olivet claims life of local man
Mar. 27—OLIVET, S.D. — The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of those involved in a fatal crash Monday evening, approximately five miles north of Olivet. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, Rendell Lee Schelske, 73, of Olivet, was driving a 1999 Cadillac DeVille northbound on 426th Avenue. As he approached the intersection of 281st Street, he slowed down to make a U-turn. At the same time, Joshua R. Hofer, 35, of Olivet, was driving a 1998 Peterbilt 379 semi in the same direction and attempted to maneuver around the Cadillac as it continued its U-turn. The two vehicles collided, coming to rest in the west ditch. Schelske, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries in the crash, while both Hofer and his passenger, Marvin J. Hofer, 43, of Olivet, were wearing seatbelts and were uninjured. The South Dakota Highway Patrol, part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, is continuing to investigate the incident. Olivet man identified in crash
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An Olivet man that died on Monday in a crash has been identified.
