Third person charged over murder of Pheobe Bishop
A third person has been charged over the disappearance and murder of teenager Pheobe Bishop. Queensland Police have charged a 30-year-old man with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder, alleging he used Pheobe's mobile phone to interfere with investigations. The man was charged around 7pm on Tuesday in Bundaberg West, one day after family and friends farewelled the 17-year-old at a private service in the south east Queensland town. Pheobe was last seen near Bundaberg airport about 8.30am on May 15 after booking a trip to Western Australia to see her boyfriend. Queensland Police allege her housemates, Tanika Bromley and James Wood, drove Pheobe close to the airport in a grey Hyundai, but no one left the car. She was allegedly murdered and her body was moved more than once from the Good Night Scrub National Park, an hour's drive from the airport. Phone data led officers to focus their search on the national park before her remains were found on June 6. Wood, 34, and Bromley, 33, remain behind bars and will face court on August 11, charged with murder and interfering with a corpse. Six weeks after Pheobe disappeared, family and friends laid the "free-spirited" teen to rest while donning bright colours at a service on Monday. Multiple candlelit vigils attended by hundreds have been held across Bundaberg and Gin Gin in recent weeks, remembering how Pheobe lived life to the fullest. The 30-year-old man charged is expected to face the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Fresh photos reveal major update for squalid home where murdered Queensland teen Pheobe Bishop spent her final days
The squalid home where Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop lived before she was allegedly murdered by her housemates has undergone an extensive cleanup. Fresh photos, first published by the Courier Mail on Tuesday, have revealed the home in the regional town of Gin Gin near Bundaberg has been transformed from its once-derelict condition. Rubbish seen just last month piled throughout the front yard has been removed, while parts of the property's exterior appear to have been repainted. Dozens of empty bottles of Coke, Mountain Dew and other soft drinks once seen scattered on the front porch have also been taken away. Picture: 7News The development comes after photos in June laid bare the shocking state of the property where Pheobe spent her final days. The images, captured by 7News, showed the floors strewn with what appeared to be furniture debris, clothing and rubbish. Further footage showed stacks of trash on beds, garbage bags on the floor, and dog faeces throughout the home. Earlier in the police investigation, there were reports a number of dead dogs had been removed from the property. The home also appears to have undergone a new coat of paint. Picture: NewsWire / John Gass Pheobe was reported missing from the Gin Gin area after she failed to board her scheduled May 15 flight from Bundaberg to Western Australia to visit her boyfriend. After a large-scale investigation, Pheobe's two housemates James Wood, 34, and his partner Tanika Bromley, 33, were charged with the teenager's murder. Mr Wood and Ms Bromley have also been charged with two counts each of interfering with a corpse. The Gin Gin property was declared a crime scene as detectives probed Pheobe's suspicious disappearance. Pheobe Bishop was first reported missing in May. The landlords, who lived at the address when they were first married, claimed the home had sustained damage like patched holes on walls which were not there prior to Ms Bromley and Mr Wood moving in. "The air tastes dirty and it smells just … I don't know how people can be breathing in this," one landlord said. A GoFundMe page had been created on behalf of the landlords to help support the repairs and clean-up efforts. The fundraiser, which is no longer accepting donations, raised $2,275.

Pheobe Bishop: Family gather in private for funeral of allegedly murdered teen
The devastated family of allegedly slain teen Pheobe Bishop is gathering to farewell their 'free-spirited girl'. Twenty-five days after the remains of the 17-year-old were discovered in bushland, she will be laid to rest at a private funeral in Elliot Heads. Pheobe had been missing for weeks before her body was found on June 5. Her two former housemates, James Wood, 34, and Tanika Bromley, 33, have been charged with murder and interfering with a corpse. In a statement to the ABC , Pheobe's mother Kylie Johnson said she was 'devastated this is something we have had to navigate'. 'This is absolutely everybody's worst nightmare, however, we promised to get Phee home and give her a send-off that Phee would approve of and that's what will happen,' Ms Johnson said. She said two 'amazing women in Phee's life' would conduct the private service to be held at 2pm on Monday and attendees had been asked to don brightly coloured clothing. Ms Johnson said her daughter loved hugs, dancing and singing. 'I would tell people to hug their kids a little tighter, tell them you love them multiple times a day, watch that silly movie, dance to the song and capture every moment in your memories,' she said. Condolence messages are flowing in an online guestbook for the funeral, hosted by Des Allen and Co. 'Phee you truly will be missed by those that knew you and now the world. Thank you for being the human you were. I will forever cherish the memories I have of you. Missing you more the (Sic) ever Phee,' one person wrote. A community candlelight vigil was held for Pheobe on June 8 and a colourful convoy to commemorate her love of the outdoors and passion for cars on June 15. Pheobe's disappearance gripped Australia for more than three weeks and made headlines around the world as police combed bushland and appealed to the public for help to find her. Mr Wood and Ms Bromley were living with Pheobe in a rundown, garbage-strewn house in the small Queensland town of Gin Gin when she vanished. The pair claimed they dropped her to Bundaberg airport in their grey Hyundai ix35 on May 15, so the teen could catch a flight to WA to visit her boyfriend. But she never made it. On June 5, Mr Wood and Ms Bromley were charged. They are now being held in custody and are due to return to court in August.
