TTD will adopt technology to ensure timely darshan for devotees, says EO

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao has instructed the officials to adopt technology-driven measures to enable devotees to have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the designated time. Addressing a meeting in virtual mode with the representatives from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the TTD's IT department and Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkayya Chowdary on Tuesday, Mr. Rao stressed the need for systematic technological intervention across all darshan modes—Sarva Darshan, Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD), Special Entry Darshan (SED) and Divya Darshan. He asked the officials to deploy technology from the time devotees enter the queue lines till the completion of darshan, to improve efficiency and reduce the waiting periods. He advised that TCS and TTD's IT teams conduct frequent reviews and work towards an integrated action plan. He proposed exploring QR code-based and facial recognition systems for faster and accurate verification, replacing the current manual methods. Noting that delays often occur due to pilgrims arriving later than their allotted time slots, he suggested conducting awareness campaigns to improve adherence to the scheduled reporting times and reduce congestion. Earlier, TCS representatives presented an analysis, detailing the time taken by devotees in various stages—from queue entry to darshan and temple exit—across SSD, SED, Divya Darshan formats and Arjitha Sevas. The meeting was attended by TTD General Manager (IT) Sesha Reddy, Assistant General Manager Venkateswara Chowdary, and other officials.

TTD Announces Divya Darshan Tokens to be Released at Bhudevi Complex

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced that the Bhudevi Complex, located near Alipiri, will begin issuing tokens for devotees walking along the Srivari Mettu route. Tokens will be made available from 5 pm on the 6th of this month. Previously, devotees would collect tokens near the first step of the route and scan them at the 1,200th step, which proved to be cumbersome. In response to these challenges, officials have decided to set up permanent counters at Srinivasa Mangapuram to facilitate the issuance of Divya Darshan tokens. Until those counters are operational, tokens will continue to be issued at the Bhudevi Complex. The complex will feature a total of 10 counters, comprising 4 for Divya Darshan tokens and 6 for timed Sarva Darshan tokens. Devotees will initially be allowed into the sheds at the Balaji Bus Stand premises and will be organised into queue lines to streamline the token collection process.
