Jack Osbourne's heartbreaking words about dad Ozzy just before sad death
EXCLUSIVE: Just days before Ozzy Osbourne's death at the age of 76, his son Jack Osbourne gushed over his 'loving' father amid his many health woes Jack Osbourne spoke proudly about his dad's life and career just two weeks ago, describing Ozzy as 'funny and unique'. Ozzy's son Jack had been at a screening of a new Ozzy Osbourne documentary, 'The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne', in Birmingham on July 4, the day before the Back To The Beginning concert, which would ultimately be Ozzy's last live show. Speaking at the Millennium Point Centre in Birmingham, Jack said: 'What are my three words to describe my dad? I would say funny, unique and powerful. "He is an incredible man. He really is. His contribution to music is bigger than his faults. This whole weekend has been emotional.' Jack also spoke about a planned Ozzy biopic, which will be even more eagerly awaited by fans now. He said: 'We do have the film on the way. We have a lot of good forward momentum on the Ozzy biopic. We have a director attached now and the script is done and Sony Studios is going to be producing it. 'We are really excited about it so maybe we will do the premiere here in Birmingham. It is about to go through a script rewrite. It's going to be raw. We are not pulling any punches, we are really laying it all out. The director we have is absolutely phenomenal. 'I can't say who he is but we are very lucky to have him and he is a die hard fan. I have the smiley knee tattoos that my dad has and he (our director) has them too. The film is in good hands. If the evil overlords of Hollywood give us the green light we could be filming in the spring so maybe it will be out summer 2027 fingers crossed.' Sadly Ozzy will now never get to see the film about his life. In a statement Jack and his family sadly confirmed Ozzy has died today. The statement said: 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.' The Prince of Darkness had been suffering from Parkinson's disease in the years before his death. The rocker was in the midst of a worrying health battle before he was set to take to the stage at Villa Park to play in front of around 50,000 fans. The music legend had not played a live show in nearly seven years, but he made it his mission to produce a knockout performance for Black Sabbath fans for their farewell show at Villa Park. Ozzy committed to his rehab by moving a specialist coach into his home, to give him the fitness he needed to produce the performance. Speaking about what would be his last show, the late legend said: "It's my final encore; it's my chance to say thank you to my fans for always supporting me and being there for me. "I couldn't have done my final show anywhere else. I had to go back to the beginning."

Ozzy Osbourne biopic 'in the works'
A film about the life of Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne is allegedly in the works. 'We have a lot of good momentum on the Ozzy biopic,' his son Jack told The Sun. 'We have a director attached now, and the script is done, and Sony Studios is going to be producing it. I can't say who he is, but we are very lucky to have him, and he is a die-hard fan,' Jack said. The news comes shortly after Black Sabbath's reunion gig over the weekend, marking the last live performance of Ozzy Osbourne. Over 40,000 fans came to see the 'War Pigs' singer's swan song on July 5. The Back To The Beginning show at Birmingham's Villa Park also featured sets of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and more. Since his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2019, Osbourne has been struggling with his physical health. While the 76-year-old intends to keep recording music, his days performing on stage are now officially over. According to his son, fans can expect a 'raw' film about the Prince of Darkness, which will 'lay it all out.' As of now, the movie has not been officially approved yet, but Jack is optimistic about the project's progress: 'If the evil overlords of Hollywood give us the green light, we could be filming in the spring, so maybe it will be out by the summer of 2027.'

'Raw' biopic on Ozzy Osbourne's life is on the way
An Ozzy Osbourne biopic is in the works. The Black Sabbath rocker, 76, played the final gig of his career at Birmingham's Villa Park on Saturday and his son Jack Osbourne has revealed that a "raw" movie about his remarkable life could be hitting the big screen as early as 2027. Jack told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "We have the film on the way. We have a lot of good momentum on the Ozzy biopic. "We have a director attached now and the script is done, and Sony Studios is going to be producing it. "It is about to go through a script rewrite. It's going be raw. "We are not pulling any punches, we are really laying it all out." Jack explained that a "phenomenal" director is helming the project and is a "die-hard fan" of Osbourne's. "The director is absolutely phenomenal," he said. "I can't say who he is, but we are very lucky to have him and he is a die-hard fan. "If the evil overlords of Hollywood give us the green light, we could be filming in the spring, so maybe it will be out by the summer of 2027." It was previously reported in 2021 that a movie about Osbourne and his wife Sharon was in the pipeline. The project was billed to focus on the lives and epic love story of the rocker and his wife and tell the story of their decades-long bond. Osbourne and Sharon have been married since 1982 and their relationship exploded into pop culture with the MTV reality series The Osbournes, which centred on the domestic lives of the couple and their children Kelly and Jack and aired between 2002 and 2005. The screenplay for the project was adapted by Oscar-nominated scribe Lee Hall, whose credits include the Elton John biopic Rocketman and Steven Spielberg's take on War Horse. Music will also play a pivotal role in the film, which will include hits from both Black Sabbath and Ozzy's solo career. An Ozzy Osbourne biopic is in the works. Ozzy Osbourne biopic in development
An Ozzy Osbourne biopic is in the works. The Black Sabbath rocker, 76, played the final gig of his career at Birmingham's Villa Park on Saturday (05.07.25) and his son Jack Osbourne has revealed that a "raw" movie about his remarkable life could be hitting the big screen as early as 2027. Jack told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "We have the film on the way. We have a lot of good momentum on the Ozzy biopic. It was previously reported in 2021 that a movie about Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne was in the pipeline. The project was billed to focus on the lives and epic love story of the Paranoid rocker and his wife and tell the story of their decades-long bond. Ozzy and Sharon have been married since 1982 and their relationship exploded into pop culture with the MTV reality series The Osbournes – which centred on the domestic lives of the couple and their children Kelly and Jack and aired between 2002 and 2005. Sharon said at the time: "Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was undying love that kept us together. "We're thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen." The screenplay for the project was being adapted by Oscar-nominated scribe Lee Hall, whose previous credits include the Sir Elton John biopic Rocketman and Steven Spielberg's take on War Horse. Music was also said to be playing a pivotal role in the film, which would include hits from both Black Sabbath and Ozzy's solo career. Sharon had insisted that she wanted the picture to focus on her life prior to marrying Ozzy. The 72-year-old star said: "I don't want to do another rock and roll, sex, drugs and money movie about a musician. That's not what I'm doing. There hasn't been a movie about a woman that actually works on the management side - that's a true story - and somebody that succeeds through the struggle and you come out the other side. "It's everything before we get married. It's the madness of my childhood, growing up in the industry with a powerful father who was somewhat violent."
