(Credit: Jamavar Dubai) Hailing from Mayfair, where it holds a Michelin star, Jamavar Dubai sits at the fine dining end of Dubai's best Indian restaurants for 2025. Huge chandeliers shine over the ornate dining room, but there's a garden-esque terrace decked out in warm yellows if you fancy a more casual feel. Small plates may be inspired by India's street food markets but there is nothing informal about these delicately plated morsels. Mains include a perfectly-spiced crab pepper masala, a slow-cooked kid goat curry and the signature Old Delhi Butter Chicken, which is reason enough alone to visit. Time Out Dubai reviewers say: 'Even with a pretty huge global reputation, fine-dining Indian restaurant Jamavar comfortably lives up to the hype.' Check out our full Jamavar Dubai review here Licensed. Address Residences Opera District, Downtown Dubai, (04 553 7852). Highly Commended Khadak Best Indian restaurants in Dubai. (Credit: Khadak) New casual Indian restaurant Khadak has a story to tell. It does this through everything from knick-knacks and wall art to its revival of long-forgotten recipes and the culinary adventures of its chef-founder, Naved Nasir, famed for his years at London's Dishoom. The menu pays homage to Indian street food stalls across the country, with examples including Radio Café kheema pao, a nostalgic tribute to Bombay's former Radio Café, and chicken sukka, from the coastal kitchens of Mangalore. Every dish is described to make you want to try it – and served to make you want to tell everyone about it. Time Out Dubai reviewers say: 'Even on a late Sunday afternoon, the whole place is packed with groups indulging in a leisurely lunch. It's a family-friendly spot. It's giving wholesome and oh so comforting,.. the same feeling you'll get when you peruse the menu.' Check out our full Khadak review here Unlicensed. The best European restaurants in Dubai 2025 WINNER Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (Credit: Dinner by Heston Blumenthal) One of the most famous chefs in the world, Heston Blumenthal, opened a restaurant in the eye-popping Atlantis The Royal in 2023. And two years later, it still hits all the high notes. A stunning experience from start to finish, the service is impeccable, grape list wide ranging and dishes creative and expertly prepared. You'll have seen the Insta posts of the famed 'meat fruit' and if you're a carnivore it's well worth trying. As is everything else on the British menu, especially the steak and a dessert from circa 1810. Quirky, fun and elegant at the same time, this is one for a special occasion that will be truly memorable. Licensed. Atlantis The Royal, Palm Jumeirah, (04 426 2444). Check out our full Dinner by Heston Blumenthal review here Highly Commended: Bull & Bear (Credit: Bull & Bear) This formerly North American restaurant (New York-inspired to be exact) has completely shifted its focus to a European offering led by British chef Marc Hardiman. The lovely grown-up vibes and slick service, however, have stayed the same. It's a truly refined dining experience with a short and sweet menu that features just 19 thoughtfully crafted dishes, which highlight local ingredients and sustainability. Some unmissable dishes include a purple potato wrapped in seaweed and caviar, a sustainable crab sandwich and a satsuma wagyu steak with duck fat fries. To really get a deeper experience, make sure you go for one of the three tasting menus on offer starting from Dhs295 per person. Licensed. Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, DIFC, (04 515 9888). Check out our full Bull & Bear review here Lana Lusa (Credit: Lana Lusa) We've long been fans of Lana Lusa's traditional Portuguese cuisine (that's why you'll find it in Time Out Market Dubai), but in its new home at the Four Seasons Private Residences, both the food and the dining experience have levelled up. It's a gorgeous space for a start, with a dreamy terrace overlooking Dubai Canal, and while there's still that home-cooked vibe, with recipes from the founder's grandmother, the menu also includes more diverse Mediterranean dishes. It's licensed as well, with Portuguese grape and mixed drinks to pair with your meal. Licensed. Four Seasons Private Residences Dubai, Jumeirah 2 (04 380 1515). Check out our full Lana Lusa review here Shortlisted carine A cute Mediterranean restaurant from famed chef Izu Ani, carine is a charming space for a catch-up with friends or a romantic date night. With chic interiors full of neutral tones and delightful accents such as bowls of lemons and bottles of olive oil, there's a low-key, friendly vibe, while the large outdoor terrace overlooks the rolling greens of the golf course. Coming from chef Izu, the food is particularly impressive with standouts including watermelon salad, tuna tartare, onion tart, lobster linguine and perfectly grilled lamb chops. Save room for dessert – the tarte tatin is a buttery, sweet plate of joy. Licensed. Emirates Golf Club, Sheikh Zayed Road, @ (04 417 9885). Check out our full carine review here City Social Dubai (Credit: City Social Dubai) Coming from renowned British chef Jason Atherton, this is a sister to his popular City Social in London. Set on the 43rd floor of Grosvenor House Dubai, City Social Dubai is one of the best European restaurants in Dubai and affords stellar views across the Marina to Bluewaters and the Palm. The vibe is elegant and the menu is modern European, with a hint of Asia thanks to ingredients such as Hokkaido scallops, which are served with charred corn and red pepper confit for a delicious combination. Other hits include stuffed tomato, shellfish raviolo, while the grills shouldn't be missed either – especially the tender steaks. While at City Social, be sure to stop into Atherton's cool speakeasy bar 7 Tales for a drink, too. Licensed. Grosvenor House Dubai, Dubai Marina, (04 402 2222). Check out our full City Social Dubai review here. Jara by Martín Berasategui (Credit: Jara by Martín Berasategui) In the hands of Spanish masterchef Martín Berasategui, whose restaurants have earned 11 Michelin stars to date, the rustic cuisine of the Basque Country gets a serious glow-up at The Lana. Serving up some of the finest European food in the city, Jara's menu is centred around charcoal-grilled meats and seafood, from dry-aged Spanish ribeye to Cantabrian carabineros. The anchovy duo starter and smoked brioche caviar demand your attention, as do Berasategui's signature croquettes. That's if you can take your eyes off the spectacular views. Licensed. The Lana Dorchester Collection Dubai, Business Bay, (04 541 7755). Check out our full Jara by Martín Berasategui review here Maison Revka (Credit: Maison Revka) Arriving in Dubai via Paris and St. Tropez, this French import is actually a celebration of food from central Europe, from Poland and Slovakia to Bulgaria and the Ukraine. Inspired by Slavic culture and cuisine, the menu puts caviar, smoked salmon and raw dishes centre-stage and recommends ordering plates to share. Desserts are another highlight here, with four different types of pavlova begging to be tried. More than just a restaurant, you can spend the day at Maison Revka with a plush lounger by the pool and even stock up on gourmet treats and posh tableware at the boutique. Licensed. Delano Dubai, Bluewaters Island, (04 543 2900). StreetXO With StreetXO, acclaimed avant-garde chef Dabiz Muñoz has created something that shouldn't work, but that absolutely does. A riotous mish-mash of Asian and Spanish cuisine, perhaps most easily summed up by the kimchi croquette with tuna sashimi or the crazy paella with shrimp and king crab cooked in a tom yum broth, this is food that is genuinely exciting. Challenge your perceptions with street food amped up to the max in an uber-luxurious setting – and a surprisingly refreshing price tag. It's unlike any European restaurant you'll have visited before, and that's what makes it one of the best. Licensed. One&Only One Za'abeel, Za'abeel 1, (04 666 1617). Check out our full StreetXO review here Studio Frantzén (Credit: Studio Frantzén) Hands down one of the best European restaurants in Dubai, Studio Frantzén from Swedish chef Björn Frantzén is just a really cool place to go for dinner. The dining room is buzzing, but if you can take a seat at the kitchen counter for a more intimate experience, do it. Watch classic Nordic cuisine come to life with a dash of Asian umami, discover Scandinavian sushi (it's a thing), and pile up your plates with some of the most brilliant sides we've ever tried. Oh, and prepare to get totally giddy in the Candy Room, where dessert is an experience all of its own. Licensed. Atlantis The Royal, Palm Jumeirah, (054 584 3105). Twiggy Credit: Twiggy by La Cantine Perched above Twiggy Lagoon at the chic Park Hyatt Dubai is oh-so-elegant Twiggy by La Cantine. All neutral tones, rattan furnishings and gorgeous boho-chic décor, this spot is perfect for a lazy lunch or romantic dinner. As well as views over the lagoon pool, you'll be treated to a view of Dubai Creek and the Downtown skyline, with the twinkling Burj Khalifa front and centre. From sushi to salads, a brilliant burrata, superb lobster ravioli and a range of expertly grilled meat and seafood, everything is fresh, fragrant and adds to the holiday feels. One of the best European restaurants in Dubai, with one of the best settings, too. Licensed. Park Hyatt Dubai, Deira, (04 602 1105). New York-Neapolitan-style pizzas are the order of the day here at Pitfire. We really don't need to tell you that Pitfire is firmly a Dubai institution. Its latest outpost in Dubai Hills Estate now gives you the chance to enjoy the best pizza in town, alongside a fully stocked bar serving up a variety of grape and hop beverages, as well as some pretty creative mixed drinks. There's everything from traditional pepperoni and margheritas to turkey ham and pineapple and even potato or dates, meaning whatever your jam you'll find it here. The crusts are puffy and blistered and the place for those compulsory garlic knots. Hills Estate, (04 553 0465). Check out our full Pitfire Pizza review here Highly commended Pulcinella Credit: Instaragm @pulcinelladubai If you live anywhere near Sports City, you'll have heard of Pulcinella. A neighbourhood eatery that's one of the best pizzerias in Dubai, it has casual, family-friendly vibes and puffy-crusted pizzas that are perfect for sharing. Pepperoni, margherita, capricciosa – all the classics are present and correct at Pulchinella, while there are also white bases, calzone and more to take a bite out of. One for your Friday night pizza list. Unlicensed. Dubai Sports City, (04 277 6281). Za Za Slice Credit: Instagram @zazaslice Starting life as a pop-up at Sole DXB, Za Za Slice comes from the co-founder of popular sandwich spot Rascals. Found at Jumeirah Garden City, Za Za Slice has quickly established itself as one of the best pizzerias in Dubai. Pizzas boast thin and crunchy bases slathered with gourmet Italian ingredients, so expect a flavour-packed slice that belies its unassuming location. There aren't many seats at this pizza bar – which only serves six types of pizza – so be prepared for a wait, which we assure you will be worth it. Unlicensed. Jumeirah Garden City, @zazaslice (04 337 6679). Check out our full Za Za Slice review here Shortlisted Blu Pizzeria Credit: Blu Pizzeria With an extremely petite menu – with a little over a handful of pies listed – Blu Pizzeria focuses on doing a few plates, well. And it succeeds. One of the best pizzerias in Dubai, this unassuming spot at Umm Suqeim Harbour serves perfectly prepared Neapolitan-style pizzas, with blistered sourdough crusts and plenty of toppings. Opt for burrata, spicy pepperoni or margo (our top pick with San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte cheese and basil) for a classic slice, while musakhan comes with sumac sauce and sautéed chicken. There's also short-rib or truffle for an indulgent take on pizza. Unlicensed. Umm Suqeim, @bluepizzeria (050 812 6406). Check out our full Blu Pizzeria review here Franky's Pizzeria Credit: Franky's Pizzeria The Park in JLT is one trendy place to visit – being home to cool Asian street food eatery Hawkerboi and café Splendour Fields. And now you'll also find Franky in Florence here – one of the best pizzerias in Dubai, and one of the newest. Neapolitan-style pizzas come adorned with toppings including cavallo nero, black truffle and mushroom, mussels and prawns, 'broken meatball' or classic stracciatella. The interiors are decked out with foliage and artwork, while the views from this rooftop spot are also superb. Order a drink and enjoy a slice at sunset. Licensed. The Park, JLT, @frankyspizzeria (050 427 5217). Check out our full Franky's Pizzeria review here Il Motto Originally known for serving up the best pizza in New York, a meal down at Il Motto sure doesn't disappoint. You'll find plenty of great deals down at this JBR joint, including a three-hour brunch with free-flowing pizza on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday afternoons. It's also prime for date night between 5pm and 8pm on Friday to Sunday with belly-busting offers for couples. The best bit? The pizzeria opened its terrace at the end of last year, making it a great spot in more clement weather. Licensed. JA Ocean View Hotel, JBR, (056 216 5027). L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele Credit: L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele A globally renowned name, L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele is also one of the best pizza places in Dubai. Originally from Naples, branches in Dubai can be found in City Walk, JBR and Dubai Hills, but our pick is the City Walk version, which is in the new, licensed C2 area. Dig into authentic Italian flavours aboard pillowy wood-fired crusts. Keep it simple and go for the margherita, with agerola mozzarella, pecorino cheese and fresh tomato sauce. Licensed. City Walk, @pizzeria_da_michele_dubai (04 548 4489). Luigia Dubai Bright and lively, Luigia offers the full spectrum of Italian cuisine, all of it fairly traditional and very good. Where it excels, however, is in its pizza-making. There's a choice of almost 40 different types of pizza, but they all share some key characteristics: dough is matured for 48-56 hours, crusts are perfectly blistered, raw ingredients are carefully selected and overall, the pies are made to be as easily digested as possible. Which means we can eat even more of them. The stromboli, with tomato, fior di latte, peppers, Grana Padano and a choice of fennel sausage or spicy sausage never lets us down, and there are heaps of veggie options too. Licensed. Rixos Premium Dubai, The Walk, JBR, (04 349 6950). Check out our full Luigia Dubai review here Moon Slice Credit: Moon Slice Moon Slice offers some of the most exciting, innovative toppings when it comes to pizza in Dubai, so if you're in the mood for something other than pepperoni you're in the right place (although, disclaimer, it does a pretty excellent version of that, too). A short rib pizza comes with a tangy barbecue sauce base and an avocado one is drizzled with yuzu mayo one. One of the most popular pizzas is topped with wagyu carpaccio, spicy meatballs and arrabiata, while the MS Secret is one of several white bases with cheese and truffle. Dough is fermented for 48 hours before being fired at 380°C for a blistered, Neapolitan crust. Unlicensed. Dar Wasl Mall, Al Wasl, @moonslicepizza (04 344 4547). Check out our full Moon Slice review here Pull Me Pizza Credit: Pull Me Pizza Born in Dubai, this New York-style pizzeria serves its pizzas by the slice or the entire 20-inch pie. Ideal if you're not sure which toppings to go for or you just want a sneaky snack. Our top picks? Roni Queen, which comes with red sauce, baby pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, basil leaves and honey, and Pull Me, with pink sauce, pulled beef, sautéed onions, mozzarella, parmesan cheese and BBQ sauce. Order a slice of each and a side of hot honey to drizzle all over them. You'll never eat pizza without it again. Alcove Residences Building, JVC, @pullmepizzeria (04 558 6470).
