Middle-distance runner Twinkle lands in dope net; faces four-year ban
CHENNAI: IT is starting to be bit more frequent. Weeks after Sneha K had to be omitted from the Asian Athletics Championships team, middle distance runner Twinkle Chaudhary tested positive. According to the World Athletics anti-doping watchdog Athletics Integrity Unit(AIU), Twinkle tested positive for anabolic and androgenic steroid (AAS) Methyltestosterone. She was part of the team that travelled to Gumi in May and is understood to have been tested there. This is another case of high-profile athletes, a national and international medallist testing positive after javelin thrower Shivpal Singh and quarter-miler Sneha this year. Twinkle has been provisionally suspended. Interestingly, she competed in Taiwan and won silver and at the Asian meet she finished fourth. The event in Taiwan came after the meet in Gumi. At April's senior national federation athletics competition in Kochi, Twinkle represented Reliance and won the 800m with a timing of 2:00.71 (new meet record). It needs to be seen if the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) had tested her. She has been provisionally suspended under World Anti-Doping Agency's anti-doping rule. She faces a maximum of four year ban for first offence.

Akshay Kumar's latest film Akshay is currently seen in the film Kannappa, in which he makes a cameo appearance as Lord Shiva, alongside Mohanlal, Prabhas, and Vishnu Manchu, among others. The film released in theatres on 27 June and received a mixed response from the audience. While the first half and VFX drew criticism, the second half impressed some moviegoers. 1 2 3 Jaipur: Naitik Agarwal and Twinkle will lead Jaipur boys' and girls' teams respectively in the Rajasthan Youth State Ball Badminton Championship slated to be held in Jodhpur from June 27 to 29. The three-day annual tournament will be organized jointly by Rajasthan Ball Badminton Association and Jodhpur Ball Badminton Association. Both boys' and girls' teams of Jaipur are going to participate in the said competition. According to Shaukat Ali Mansuri, secretary of Jaipur District Ball Badminton Association, the Jaipur boys' and girls' teams participating in the above competition are as follows. Twinkle contacted Veena just one day before the mehndi ceremony, asking her to come for the bride and ten other guests, without revealing her identity at the time. The Mysterious Address and Warm Welcome Veena shared that she was initially given the wrong address and, upon reaching that location, a car arrived to pick her up and take her to the actor's apartment. She explained that they were unsure of the exact destination since they had been given someone else's address. After arriving at the first location, the car transported them to the correct house, where welcomed her warmly at the door. Mehndi Timing and Unexpected Results The Mehndi artist shared that she finished applying the bridal mehndi by 4 pm, with the wedding scheduled for 7 pm. Twinkle removed the mehndi between 5 and 6 pm, but by the next day, the colour had darkened significantly, prompting Twinkle to call Veena and express her surprise at how dark it had become.
