A Last-Minute Call from Twinkle Khanna
In an interview with the YouTube channel Meri Sahelli, Veena shared that Twinkle's wedding remains unforgettable for her because it was one of the rare times the bride personally called her. Twinkle contacted Veena just one day before the mehndi ceremony, asking her to come for the bride and ten other guests, without revealing her identity at the time.
The Mysterious Address and Warm Welcome
Veena shared that she was initially given the wrong address and, upon reaching that location, a car arrived to pick her up and take her to the actor's apartment. She explained that they were unsure of the exact destination since they had been given someone else's address. After arriving at the first location, the car transported them to the correct house, where
welcomed her warmly at the door.
The Surprise Reveal at the Mehndi Ceremony
Nagda recalled that when she arrived at the house, Dimple opened the door and asked if she was surprised, but Veena still didn't understand the situation. Khanna then appeared, casually sitting in shorts and looking over the mehndi designs. Veena initially thought it was for a friend's wedding, but Twinkle soon revealed it was her own wedding day and she wanted bridal mehndi.
Veena was shocked to learn the wedding was happening that same day, with the mehndi ceremony in the morning, and she wondered how the mehndi would have enough time to darken.
Mehndi Timing and Unexpected Results
The Mehndi artist shared that she finished applying the bridal mehndi by 4 pm, with the wedding scheduled for 7 pm. Twinkle removed the mehndi between 5 and 6 pm, but by the next day, the colour had darkened significantly, prompting Twinkle to call Veena and express her surprise at how dark it had become.

Kapil Sharma's fitness coach shares ‘21 21 21' rule helped comedian's drastic weight loss transformation: What it means
Kapil Sharma's drastic weight loss surprised many of his fans. Now, Yogesh Bhateja, a fitness expert known for training celebrities, including Farah Khan and Sonu Sood, talked about working with Kapil and helping him lose extra kilos. Kapil Sharma's fitness coach shares the '21 21 21' rule that helped him lose weight. Also Read | Neurosurgeon explains what actually happens to your brain from buying the coffee to taking that first sip How did Kapil Sharma lose weight? Talking about Kapil Sharma's weight loss transformation in a video shared on the YouTube channel GunjanShouts, on April 6, the fitness trainer emphasised that when one doesn't think about fitness, they generally don't try to learn about that lifestyle. He added that a basic breakfast in Indian households is bread with butter and tea, samosa, dhokla or parantha. Moreover, when we step outside of our homes, we eat anything without giving it much thought. But it's when we start clocking in what we are eating, and our lifestyle changes, we monitor water intake, our breathing patterns, and more. All the things that start changing after these first few steps are what make one fit and kickstart your transformation. The fitness coach emphasised: 'Maybe not physically, but mentally and emotionally. That's where you start moving more…This is what I did during Kapil's weight loss journey.' When the comedian wanted to go slow, Bhateja made him do stretches, keeping in mind how the body reacts to movements without pushing his threshold. He explained that people want to do their maximum at the gym, and that is where they lose because they don't plan their progression and end up thinking working out is tough. The 21 21 21 rule He also shared a basic and effective routine that he used with Kapil and many of his clients who wanted to shed weight, calling it the 21 21 21 rule. Here's what it means: According to Bhateja, the first 21 days focus on moving your body - moving all the muscles of your body. Do only stretches. "Go back 15-20 years, when schools used to conduct PT (physical training classes). Just do those exercises every day for 21 days, and you won't have to do any diet control or modification, eat jalebis as much as you want. Next 21 days: Make changes to your diet Bhateja advised, 'Keep a check on your diet. I am not saying cut your carbs, calories or anything else. This is not the right approach. Only modify your diet.' Giving an example of Indians drinking milk at night, he explained how it leads to gas, acidity or sleep troubles. He suggested switching it to morning. Another example he gave is of gud/jaggery after lunch or dinner, and drinking tea throughout the day. He suggested controlling the quantity of jaggery and amount of milk or sugar you add to the tea, instead of giving them up completely. 'You will feel more active and comfortable. These modifications will make you fitter.' Next 21 days: Control smoking, drinking, and caffeine The fitness coach stressed controlling your emotional dependency on any substances that do not give you any health benefits, other than feeling good about yourself, like liquor, smoking or coffee. Explaining how the 21 21 21 rule changes your body, he said, 'These 62 days will help you build an attitude without any pain, because you focused on only 1 thing during each set of 21 days. Now you are driven and standing in the gym on the 22nd day. This practice will help you accept changes in your life because you are not cutting calories from your life; you are modifying it. During this process, when you reach the 42nd day, you will see the change, and it will make you desperate to look better. That's where I want to control or cut emotional dependency on smoking, drinking, overeating, sugar intake, and anything that is not good for your body. After 63 days, you will see a good change in your body, and you won't need anyone to push yourself. This is what works best for beginners.' ‘Kicked Ronit Roy, he wouldn't let me leave without Aamir Khan on Lagaan shoot', recalls Apoorva Lakhia: ‘Aamir reached 90 minutes late, wasn't angry'
Aamir Khan-starrer Lagaan was a mammoth project when it was shot in the year 2000. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film was shot in Bhuj, Gujarat, and it was with this film, that Aamir introduced Bollywood to a new style of making movies. He waned to film the picture in one go, and so, he hired Apoorva Lakhia as an assistant director because he had experience in Hollywood. This was Aamir's first production and he wanted to implement some new rules while filming and insisted that the unit adhere to strict discipline as they continue to shoot. Apoorva was the man in-charge for this. In a recent interview, Apoorva shared that the first rule he wanted to implement was punctuality and so he decided that everyone would be brought to the set in a bus, and the bus won't wait for anyone for more than five minutes. On the third day, Apoorva decided to leave Aamir behind because he was late. In a chat shared on the YouTube channel Cyrus Says, Apoorva recalled that he had direct guidelines from Aamir that he could do anything to make things stricter. 'I told them no cars, just one bus. Everyone travels in a bus, no one gets a car. Anyone who is late for the bus, the bus will not wait for them for more than five minutes. Aamir was late on the third day. I thank god Aamir was late on the third day,' he shared. Apoorva Lakhia said that he decided to leave Aamir Khan behind but others in the bus felt like this would result in Apoorva getting fired. 'Ronit Roy was doing security. He refused to shut the door and the entire bus was looking at me to see that what is he going to do now? Let's see how he leaves Aamir behind,' he recalled and added, 'I gave a kick to Ronit Roy and he fell outside the door. We started the bus and ran from there. The entire unit and cast was looking at me and I remember Yashpal Sharma said, 'Kal Bombay bhai (Brother, you'll be in Bombay tomorrow).' So I said, 'It's okay if that is the situation, I'll leave, at least people will remember me.' Apoorva said that since there was no other transport available, Aamir reached the set 90 minutes later. 'He didn't say anything to me. He wasn't angry. That was his way of saying, 'good,'' he recalled. Apoorva said that on the fifth day, actor Gracy Singh was also late, and she too, was left behind. He recalled that the film's first cut was roughly 5 hours 30 minutes as they had shot night cricket, which was later reduced to just one montage, and two innings of the match, which was all cut down. Lagaan was one of the biggest hits of the year 2001. The film was also nominated at the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
