'It's All Happening!' New 'Twisted Metal' Season 2 Trailer Brings the Chaos
Although Twisted Metal Season 1 carried the title of the famous video game series, the actual Twisted Metal tournament didn't occur. But that oversight has been corrected in Season 2 since this time, the new batch of episodes will be totally focused on the eponymous tournament. Peacock has just released a new, much longer trailer for Twisted Metal Season 2, and it basically looks like the video game has fully come to life. Check it out below. Set to the 2001 Ludacris track "Move B**ch," the new trailer is frenetic, action-packed, and refreshingly funny. Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz are back as John Doe and Quiet, partners and drivers in a dystopian world, hoping to bring freedom to everyone. If they win the tournament, the mysterious Calypso (Anthony Carrigan) promises to grant one wish. How this will happen or if the tournament can actually be won, remains to be seen. Appropriately, the trailer is filled with the raw vehicular carnage that fans have come to expect from the franchise. The trailer also has a great deal of humor, and maybe hints at a bit of romance between John and Quiet. Here's the synopsis from Peacock: "Following the revelations in the season one finale, John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly TWISTED METAL tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface."'It's All Happening!'
