TTD to formulate new policy for mgmt of cottages
Tirumala: In the larger interests of the devotees, a new cottage policy is soon in offing to provide accommodation to the devotees who come to Tirumala, said TTD EO J Syamala Rao. He held a review meeting with the officials on Monday at his Chamber in the TTD Administrative Building along with the Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the EO asked for a new policy to be formulated for the management of cottages in Tirumala. He directed the concerned for a policy blueprint to be prepared so that donors can construct cottages that are convenient for the devotees. At the same time, he suggested preparing a comprehensive report on the privileges of donors, management of facilities provided to donors, management of rooms, beautification, greenery, parking, cottage design, Srivari photo and painting in the cottages, construction of rooms to instill a sense of devotion and many more. The EO suggested that rules should be formulated so that the donors construct the cottages and hand them over to the TTD within the stipulated time, so that the privileges allotted to the donors are not misused and that the selection of donors for the construction of cottages, procedures, responsibilities, etc. are transparent. Similarly, the EO suggested that the construction of cottages should be done on a stable and equitable basis, and the rules should be formulated so that the actions to be taken in case of violation of the rules during construction are clearly assessed in advance. Earlier, TTD Additional EO explained the procedural issues related to the construction of new cottages to the EO. TTD to organise Srivari annual Brahmotsavams from Sept 24
Tirupati: TTD is gearing up for the grand conduct of the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala from Sep 24. The TTD administration held its maiden review meeting on Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams at Tirumala on Thursday. TTD additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary directed the heads of all Devasthanams departments to make comprehensive plans and complete all arrangements within a stipulated timeframe. The 9-day festival which begins with the Dwajarohanam fete on Sept 24 concludes with the Chakrasnanam rituals on Oct 2. Important processions as part of the 9-day festival include the highly venerated Garuda Seva on Sept 28, giant chariot festival on Oct 1 and Chakrasnanam on Oct 2. CM Chandrababu Naidu will present silk robes to Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple on behalf of the state govt on the first day of the Srivari Brahmotsavams on Sept 24. TTD additional executive officer said VIP break darshan will remain cancelled between Sept 24-Oct 2 in view of the annual festival.

TTD gearing up for annual Brahmotsavams from September 24 to October 2
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is gearing up for the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara scheduled from September 24 to October 2. Chairing a high-level review meeting with the heads of various departments, TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Thursday urged the officials to prepare a detailed roadmap and complete the arrangements in strict adherence to the time schedule. 'Garuda Vahanam' on September 28 The Brahmotsavams will commence with 'Ankurarpanam' on September 23, followed by 'Dwajarohanam' (flag hoisting) on September 24. Key events include 'Garuda Vahanam' on September 28, 'Rathotsavam' on October 1, and 'Chakrasnanam' on October 2. The daily vahana sevas will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the festival period. Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam, the prelude festival, will be organised on September 16. Except for those dignitaries arriving in person for darshan, the TTD decided to cancel VIP darshans during the festival period. Similarly, certain privileged darshan formats like those extended for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, parents with infants, NRIs, and donors also will remain suspended during the period. Personnel of the Vigilance and Police departments were instructed to implement a robust security plan, including streamlined traffic management, roadmaps, and parking arrangements. Priority would be attached to the queue line management, distribution of 'anna prasadam' (free meal), and maintenance of hygiene along the mada streets. The aesthetic decorations, including electric illuminations, floral and fruit displays, would be organised to enhance the devotional ambiance. The TTD also plans to invite young volunteers to serve as Srivari Sevaks, so as to assist in delivering quality services to the pilgrims. Curbs on two-wheelers The two-wheeler movement on Tirumala ghat roads would be prohibited from 9 p.m. on September 27 to 6 a.m. on September 29. The TTD also instructed the officials to stock adequate quantities of laddus to meet the demand during the Brahmotsavams.

EO emphasises hygiene and quality in the maintenance of TTD canteens
Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao has directed that high-quality, hygienic food be served to devotees at affordable rates in the TTD-run Big and Janata Canteens in Tirumala. Addressing a meeting with the hoteliers on Wednesday at the Administrative Building, he was joined by Additional EO C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary to discuss upcoming plans and expectations for food service management in the temple town. During the meeting, Rao exhorted them to provide qualitative food with a spirit of service rather than profit. The TTD had earlier issued a notification regarding the management of Big and Janata Canteens on June 23. To address queries related to the Expression of Interest (EOI), the EO and Additional EO conducted a pre-bid meeting with the participating hotel operators. The officials reiterated that any allocation for running the canteens would strictly adhere to the prescribed guidelines and would prioritize service over commercial interest.

Special app to be developed for professional Srivari Sevaks
Tirumala: TTD additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary announced that a special application will be developed within a month exclusively for professional Srivari Sevaks. He conducted a review meeting on Monday at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala, along with JEO Veerabrahmam, focusing on professional volunteer services in Srivari Seva. Speaking on the occasion, he said that under the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, a framework is being developed to utilise the services of professional experts across the globe in 10 key departments of TTD through Srivari Seva. He further said that the services of technical experts will also be utilised in various technical departments. Based on the requirements of each department, necessary actions will be taken to engage them through Srivari Seva. He emphasized the need to make use of global professional expertise to improve the functioning of TTD in the coming days and also instructed that local approvals should be obtained to ensure the implementation process runs smoothly without issues. Adding further, he said that the initiative will be launched initially on a pilot basis and later implemented on a full scale. Addl EO stated that a clear procedural framework will soon be established to convert this initiative into a sustainable system. SVIMS director Dr R V Kumar, BIRRD director Dr Jagadeesh, chief engineer Satyanarayana, IT GM Sesha Reddy, deputy EOs Rajendra, Somannarayana, CMO Dr Narmada, DEO Venkata Sunil, director Gosala Srinivasulu, HDPP secretary Sriram Raghunath and other officials attended the meeting.
