Sex stories and scandalous truths: the podcast Just Between Us is out now

I'll admit, spilling my virginity story to the one and only Diana Vickers wasn't on my 2025 bingo card. I didn't think I'd be hearing her cackle as I talked about my first boyfriend and that awkward encounter, when the most my school ever taught me was how to put a condom on a cucumber (making eye contact with my headteacher Mrs Chapman as I fumbled with the wrapper is something I regrettably can't forget). I'd watched Diana on X factor at just nine years old, singing Dido's White Flag, wide-eyed and captivated, then admired her evolution into actor and social media firecracker, with no idea our paths would cross in this way. But, in what feels like cosmic fate, we're co-presenting Metro's brand new relationships podcast: Just Between Us. Each week, we'll take a listener call where you have the opportunity to share your stories, questions, and concerns. What do I bring to the table? Well, it may not be a list of certified pop bangers, but as Metro's dedicated sex and relationships reporter I do know my stuff. With so much misinformation out there on love and sex, I aim to bring you informed, impartial insights based on my years of work in this area. Love reading juicy stories like this? Need some tips for how to spice things up in the bedroom? Sign up to The Hook-Up and we'll slide into your inbox every week with all the latest sex and dating stories from Metro. We can't wait for you to join us! And Diana? She'll be using those talented vocal chords to counsel you as a best friend or big sister, giving her signature hot takes and spilling her juiciest dating stories from over the years. The first episode drops July 1, with a call from Hannah, 23, who's never had a boyfriend but desperately wants to lose her virginity. 'Every time I get close to it, I get nervous and freak out,' she tells us. 'I feel ready to have sex but it's getting frustrating. Both my siblings are in their first serious relationships – I'm getting impatient.' Hannah speaks about her time at an all girls' school and how that may have hindered her in the boy department, as well as her fear and anxiety that builds up when an opportunity to have sex presents itself. 'Honestly, my brain never learned how to be friends with males who are my age, who are attractive – I even get nervous talking to male colleagues,' she says. 'It's the thought of going back to someone's house, to a whole new environment and getting naked with someone who I don't necessarily know.' We also share our own stories of losing our V-cards, and while you'll have to listen to the podcast for the full story of my first time, the words 'it didn't work' were used. And for Diana an unwelcome interruption made things awkward. Throughout the 12 episodes of season one, you'll learn that Diana and I have had very different relationships with love and sex. Those of you who had positive sexual encounters in your early lives will find comfort in Diana's stories. If you've not had the sexual experiences you deserved when you were learning about your body, you'll probably relate more to me – it's a safe space. We're two sides of a coin, night and day – but it works. And when I say no topic is off limits on this podcast, I mean it. I've found myself talking about my situationships (of which there have been a few), both good and mortifyingly bad. We've covered masturbation and self-pleasure, outercourse, sexual debuts, heartache and heartbreak… And we're just getting started. Geelong's T-shirt stunt receives mixed reviews from AFL fans

Geelong's white T-shirt stunt ahead of superstar Patrick Dangerfield's 350th game on Friday night has divided the AFL world. The powerhouse club told fans they would be contributing to a 'slice of history' but the nod to US sports and college football, according to many, missed the mark. In a bid to transform GMHBA Stadium into 'a sea of white', Geelong had 'a free collectable T-shirt' placed on every seat for the blockbuster clash with Brisbane. And fans got in the spirit early, waving and wearing the items as the team ran out on the ground to great fanfare. 'A white-out down here in Geelong ... these are great scenes,' star commentator James Brayshaw said as the broadcast showed the vision of the crowd. But it didn't take long before things fell flat as the Lions sucked the air out of the occasion before powering along to an emphatic 41-point victory. And the club was immediately mocked, with many suggesting the T-shirts were symbolic of 'waving the white flag' or throwing in the white towel (common acts of surrendering). 'The way they played it looked like they were waving white flags of surrender,' one fan said on social media. 'Waving the White Flag before the game even started,' said another. And another: 'White out turning into a whitewash.' And another: 'I didn't have high expectations for the white T-shirt thing but it's looking pretty average.' And another: 'Conceded the first 4 of the game, wave the white flag.' While another raged: 'Cheap tatty cotton on tees in the bin after tonight's pathetic game.' Fans also questioned the Americanisation of the game. 'Why would we want to copy American sports???' one fan asked And another: '(It's part of) the AFL's desperation to Americanise the game.' While another said, 'I pray my club never does this, 'and another called it an 'Absolute cringe ****fest.' But the reviews weren't all negative. Popular sports account Bear said: 'I absolutely love this and it makes me sad Melbourne will never be able to do something like this. Shoutout Geelong.' And another: 'Hate Geelong as much as the next Hawks fan but god damn those white shirts in the crowd look good.' Maybe if the Cats had won the take on the tees would have been more positive.

What Pakistanis Are Searching For On Google After India Executes 'Operation Sindoor'

Last Updated: 'White Flag' to 'Operation Sindoor', Google in Pakistan was flooded with queries as India launched missile attack in the neighbouring country in response to Pahalgam massacre. A string of searches were made by citizens of Pakistan after India carried out 'Operation Sindoor' in the early hours of Wednesday. For the unaware, India launched a series of strategic and targeted attacks against terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) a fortnight after the Pahalgam terror attack that ended the lives of 26 civilians. The objective was to dismantle launchpads and camps used by terror groups operating from across the Line of Control (LoC), Indian Army sources confirmed. As social media platforms flooded with visuals of 'Operation Sindoor' carried by India, people of Pakistan scrambled to Google with a series of questions and queries they wanted answers for. Sindoor or vermillion was used as a powerful reminder to the Pahalgam massacre. On April 22, terrorists targeted and killed men, some newly married, based on their religion. Sindoor is also worn as a symbolic pride by warriors headed to a battle. Some other queries related to Sindoor included– 'What is operation sindoor", 'What is sindoor in English", 'Operation Sindoor wiki". (Google Trends) India Missile Attack Queries from Islamabad, Punjab, and Sindh included search terms as follows: 'India launches missile", 'India missile attack", 'India fired missile Pakistan" among many others.
