Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri hoping for 'marriage' after recent heartache
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri has candidly shared details about her love life, confessing that she's open to romance and aspires to marry in the future. Tasha first rose to fame on the eighth season of Love Island, where she reached the final alongside Andrew Le Page, eventually finishing fourth. Following her time on Love Island, Tasha stepped onto the Strictly Come Dancing floor, describing her time on the show as a "dream come true." Despite reaching the final stages of Strictly, Tasha was narrowly beaten to the illustrious Glitterball trophy by comedian Chris McCausland and his partner, Dianne Buswell, with Chris notably becoming the first blind winner of the show. Meanwhile, Tasha's involvement was groundbreaking too; she became only the second deaf contestant to feature on the BBC programme. Reflecting on their separation during a chat on the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, Tasha provided insights into the decision, admitting: "My head was kind of saying, 'stay in it, just trust it, it will change,' but it didn't, and that's where we had to sit down and think, 'am I going to be happy in 10 years' time, five years' time, two years' time?'" (Image: Jeff Spicer, for Paramount Pictures) Emerging from her past break-up, Tasha has declared that she's ready to embrace romance once more, recently confiding in Heat magazine: "I feel ready to open those doors again and start dating." She even spoke about setting her sights on long-term commitments: "At some point, I do want to get married and have kids — that's still my goal." (Image: Antony Jones, Getty Images for Spotify) Delving deeper in the interview, she shared her lifelong desire for marriage and her particular hope for her grandmother to see her in a wedding dress, as she considers her nan to be her "best friend." Tasha, who relied solely on BSL for communication after being born with a hearing impairment, experienced a life-changing improvement when she received a cochlear implant at the age of five — a device implanted behind the ear to aid those with significant hearing loss. (Image: Lia Toby, Getty Images for Warner Bros. Pictures) Tasha has previously lent her help to a number of charities aimed at supporting the deaf community, including NDCS (National Deaf Children's Society), RNID (Royal National Institute for Deaf People), and Deaf Kidz International.

Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch's kids ‘scream' as police and fire brigade rush to mansion
Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch's kids 'scream' as police and fire brigade rush to mansion Abbey Clancy was left in a panic as the police and fire brigade were called to her £3million mansion after she set off the fire alarm while making a steak for husband Peter Crouch Abbey got herself in quite a pickle after pressing the mansion's panic-button (Image: Dave Benett, Dave Benett/WireImagevia Getty Images ) Model and TV star Abbey Clancy was on the verge of tears and her children were left in a state of panic following a mishap at the £3million mansion she shares with Peter Crouch. On their podcast, The Therapy Couch, Abbey recounted how she had intended to prepare a lovely meal for Peter while he was out. "Bear in mind," Peter explained, "I've left the house for one hour – I haven't been out for long – but we've had the police round, the fire brigade round, the kids are screaming, and there's alarms going off everywhere." Abbey explained that she'd started off with the best intentions, stating: "I thought, 'I'm going to make Pete a nice steak and [potato] dauphinoise for his dinner." The kids were 'screaming' because of al the mayhem, Peter says However, Abbey confessed, she's always found it challenging to get a frying pan to the perfect temperature to flash-fry a steak. Abbey prefers to use butter, rather than oil, in her frying pan, which can result in a rather smoky kitchen. In Abbey's case, "the whole house was covered in smoke". "I couldn't even see the pan," Abbey added, "It was just smoke everywhere." Article continues below As you would expect in a multi-million pound house, there is an extensive system of smoke alarms installed: "One set of fire alarms went off, then another even louder alarm went off," Abbey recalled. Adding to the chaos, Abbey's phone started ringing – it was the fire brigade asking if she needed any assistance and she had to awkwardly explain that she was merely experiencing a kitchen disaster. Abbey desperately contacted Peter in hope of silencing the alarm (Image:) Amidst the cacophony of alarms, Abbey found herself phoning Peter for advice on how to turn them off. She recalled: "Pete's like, 'You need to press the red button with the key.' So I pressed a red button with a key – then four minutes later three police cars turned up at my door." In her rush to quieten the fire alarm, Abbey mistakenly triggered the panic button. When questioned by the police about the nature of the emergency, she light-heartedly admitted to her blunder. Despite her assurances that it was a false alarm, the police were adamant about checking the house, concerned that there might have been an intruder forcing her to claim all was fine. Police had rushed to Abbey's home Wearing only a cosy dressing-gown, Abbey let the officers inside and discovered, quite serendipitously, one officer was a follower of her podcast. 'I was petrified," she recounted, feeling guilty over inadvertently wasting police time. Article continues below Peter's return home brought a realisation of the chaos, expressing disbelief at the sight of police and fire engines outside their residence. He lamented: "It was carnage," pointing out the disarray that seemed to unfold in his absence.
