2026 Chevrolet Colorado Review, Pricing, and Specs
Specs See all specs EPA MPG 17–20 Combined Seating 5 Seats Powertrain Gas Drivetrain Rear-Wheel Drive, Four-Wheel Drive Limited Warranty 3 Years/36,000 Miles Overview Available exclusively in crew-cab form with a five-foot bed and a 310-hp turbo four, the 2026 Chevy Colorado isn't as endlessly configurable as its full-size Silverado brother, but the trim-level lineup is still broad and varied. Shoppers can get everything from a true workhorse with rear-wheel drive and a class-leading 7700-pound tow rating to a go-anywhere, do-anything off-roader with hydraulic bump stops and over a foot of ground clearance. The modernized yet classically styled interior is bound to impress, and it's comfortable for long-distance highway travel as well as weekend romps through the backcountry. The Colorado's medium-sized body also makes it easier to park in tight spaces and more wieldy in urban driving scenarios than the larger Silverado. Expert Tip: Like the Colorado, the Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma have received some development dollars in the past few years and used them to great effect. All three mid-sizers are worth a look. What's New for 2026? For 2026, Chevy revises the Colorado's wheel and paint offerings slightly. Otherwise, the pickup truck carries over to the new year unchanged. Pricing and Which One to Buy We're fans of the Trail Boss, as it delivers almost as much mud-flinging fun as the high-riding ZR2 but for less. It comes with 32-inch all-terrain tires and fender flares that make it look tough, and it offers more suspension travel than lesser trims. You won't get the ZR2's sweet Multimatic spool-valve dampers and lockable front and rear differentials, but there's a limited-slip diff in back. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Engine: 310-hp turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder 310-hp turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder Transmission: 8-speed automatic 8-speed automatic Drivetrains: rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive With its 310-hp turbo 2.7-liter four-cylinder, the Colorado is more powerful than many rivals, including the Jeep Gladiator, the Honda Ridgeline, and the nonhybrid Toyota Tacoma. Several trims come standard with four-wheel drive, though that driveline costs extra on the entry-level Work Truck and step-up LT. The ZR2 has upgraded Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers up front, with the rear units now mounted to the outside of the frame. Work Truck and LT models use an open rear differential, while the Trail Boss and Z71 get a limited-slip setup. Only the off-road-optimized ZR2 comes with power-locking front and rear diffs. The ZR2 Bison is the toughest off-road Colorado, with 12.2 inches of ground clearance and better break-over and departure angles than other trims. It also rides on mondo 35-inch tires—the largest in the mid-size pickup segment—and has hydraulic front and rear bump stops to soften the landing from jumps. 0–60-MPH Times C/D 60-mph Test: 6.8 seconds (ZR2) In Comparison: The last Colorado ZR2 we tested raced to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds and cleared the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 88 mph. Those times are nearly identical to those produced by the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. View Photos Marc Urbano | Car and Driver Towing and Payload Capacity The Colorado offers the highest towing capacity in the mid-size pickup segment, with a max rating of 7700 pounds. However, the ZR2 can't tow as much: Its limit is 6000 pounds. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG EPA City Ratings : 16-19 mpg 16-19 mpg EPA Highway Ratings: 16-23 mpg The EPA hasn't released fuel-economy information for the 2026 Chevrolet Colorado yet, but the ratings shouldn't change. The 2025 rear-wheel-drive model earns estimates of 19 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. Those with four-wheel drive see, at best, 17 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The ZR2 gets 17 mpg across the board, while the ZR2 Bison returns straight 16s. When we have the chance to test a Colorado on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route—part of our extensive testing regimen—we will update this report with the result. For more information about the Colorado's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: The Colorado's interior is functional, contemporary, and less busy than competitors' cabins. The driver's seat is comfortable, too, offering good support and firm cushions. Second Row: The Colorado has one of the most livable back seats in the class, but it's still a tight fit for tall individuals. Cargo Capacity: Taking a page from the Ridgeline's book, the Colorado offers a shallow lockable storage box in the tailgate. The latter has Google Built-In tech and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The Colorado receives a decent amount of driver-assistance features, including forward-collision warning, front and rear automated emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring. The backup camera also has a handy hitch view, so you can line up the hitch with a trailer by yourself. This funky electric Ford Bronco is exactly the sort of car we want in the UK
You're looking at an all-electric version of the funky Ford Bronco off-roader. But it's not, if you're wondering, designed for Mulholland drive or the Moab, but megacities like Shanghai. That's because this new model has been designed specifically for the Chinese market, yet we think it should really be coming here too. Advertisement - Article continues below Officially called the 'Ford Bronco New Energy', this large SUV has been built as part of Ford's joint venture with the Chinese-owned Jiangling Motors group. As such, it doesn't feature a thirsty four-cylinder or V6 petrol engine as it does in the US, but an all-electric powertrain with the option of a range-extender hybrid too. So while it's all-but impossible to legislate the American Ford Bronco in the UK and Europe thanks to our strict emissions regulations, this model seems to solve the problem by going straight in for a much cleaner electric powertrain. In terms of size, the Bronco New Energy is just over five metres long and a touch under two metres wide, making it around 250mm longer than a Land Rover Defender, but marginally narrower. Also like a Defender, the electric Bronco features a car-like unibody construction, rather than the American Bronco's ladder frame. Skip advert Advertisement - Article continues below The floor houses a big 105kWh battery pack that gives it up to 404 miles of range on the Chinese CLTC cycle, which prioritises lower speeds and urban environments. This strong range figure is likely boosted by the fact it's not four-wheel drive, instead featuring a single motor with 271bhp. There's also a 241bhp plug-in range extender variant, which downsizes the battery size to around 43kWh and packs in a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that can recharge the battery on the go. Ford quotes an all-electric range figure of 143 miles for this one, after which the petrol engine will kick in. Aside from this, we have few technical details, but can see from the images that the new car looks just as rugged as the traditional Bronco, thanks to its upright body, retro detailing and chunky wheel arches. No images of the interior have been revealed, but we suspect it to be focused towards Chinese consumers who are more digitally connected and technically savvy than the median European buyer. So in other words, expect plenty of screen real estate. This isn't the only good looking Ford SUV built solely for the Chinese market, either, with the Territory SUV also built as part of the aforementioned joint venture. Neither model is expected to come to Europe in the near future, which we reckon is a bit of a shame. 2026 Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain Wagon Review, Pricing, and Specs
Overview The E-class wagon has the adjustable air suspension, all-wheel-drive prowess, multi-view camera system, skid plates, and body cladding of a proper off-roader, but it's not fooling anyone with its All-Terrain branding. This is a soft-riding, cushy, and luxurious road-trip machine that few owners will risk damaging on even the tamest of trails. We still like it, though. The hybrid-assisted six-cylinder engine responds promptly to throttle requests, and we feel properly posh while sitting in the driver's seat. Premium amenities and features abound inside the E-class wagon's cabin, and there's plenty of space to haul both passengers and cargo at the same time. Expert Tip: If you're looking for something racier, Mercedes-AMG sells an E53 wagon model that comes with a 577-hp plug-in hybrid powertrain. What's New for 2026? Benz's wagon should enter 2026 unchanged. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Mercedes-Benz E-class Wagon is expected to start around $78,000 and go up to $81,000 depending on the trim and options. E450 $78,000 (est) E450 Pinnacle $81,000 (est) 0 $25k $50k $75k $100k $125k Most shoppers can do without the Pinnacle trim's active ambient lighting, head-up display, illuminated grille, and insulated glass. We recommend sticking with the base model and selecting some worthwhile options, such as the Driver Assistance pack and the ventilated front seats. If you live in a northern clime, consider adding the Winter package. It includes heating for the steering wheel and windshield washers. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Engine: 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six 375-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six Transmission : 9-speed automatic 9-speed automatic Drivetrain: all-wheel drive Unlike the E-class sedan, which offers three different powertrains, the All-Terrain comes exclusively in E450 guise, with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six underhood. A 48-volt hybrid system assists the engine at low rpm to hide any turbo lag. During our initial drive, we found that the setup works well, shuffling torque instantly and effortlessly to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. The standard air suspension is tuned for comfort and does a nice job cushioning passengers from the worst road impacts. In tight corners, the car feels a little cumbersome but never unstable, and while the brake pedal is a little wooden, the brakes themselves are strong. 0–60-MPH Times Claimed 60-mph time: 4.6 seconds (manufacturer's estimate) In Comparison: We haven't had the opportunity to test the E-class All-Terrain yet, but Mercedes-Benz claims it will accelerate to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. That's likely a conservative estimate, as the previous-generation model reached 60 mph in 4.4 seconds despite making less power. Towing and Payload Capacity The 2026 E-class wagon can tow about 4600 pounds. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG EPA City Rating : 22 mpg 22 mpg EPA Highway Rating: 31 mpg The EPA hasn't released fuel-economy information for the 2026 Mercedes-Benz E-class All-Terrain yet, but nothing should change: The 2025 model earns ratings of 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. When we get a chance, we'll take the E-class All-Terrain on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy loop and update this page with results. For more information about the E-class All-Terrain's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: Even in base spec with faux-leather upholstery and black-ash dashboard trim, the E450 looks elegant inside. The front seats are cushy and roomy, and they come standard with heating and Benz's 'energizing seat kinetics,' wherein the seat cushion and backrest make subtle adjustments to keep fatigue at bay. Quilted leather inserts, massage functions, and ventilation are all available options. Second Row: Adults tall and short should be comfortable in either of the second row's outboard seats, which buyers can upgrade with heating elements for $500. Cargo Capacity: Underneath the power liftgate and aft of the second row, the E-class wagon offers up 33.1 cubic feet of space for your gear. Fold down the back seats and you'll extend the cargo area by 31.5 cubes (for a total of 64.6). Costco, here we come. Infotainment and Connectivity Infotainment: 14.4-inch touchscreen 14.4-inch touchscreen Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility Audio System: 17-speaker Burmester stereo Every E-class All-Terrain boasts a 12.3-inch display in front of the driver and a 14.4-inch touchscreen built into the dashboard. The center screen uses the latest MBUX software and responds to voice commands. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections. For an even more impressive-looking arrangement, you can opt for the MBUX Superscreen, which turns the entire dash into a glossy touchpad with the addition of a 12.3-inch front-passenger display next to the 14.4-inch unit. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Mercedes provides several useful driver-assistance features, but makes shoppers shell out for adaptive cruise control. Standard Safety Features: automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera system automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera system Optional Safety Features: adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, evasive-steering assist For information about the E-class All-Terrain's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Warranty and Maintenance Coverage Mercedes-Benz's new-car warranties last for four years or 50,000 miles. Rivals match or exceed this coverage, and several offer complimentary service visits, which Mercedes doesn't. Prepaid maintenance plans are available, however, through Mercedes dealers nationwide. Little-known car brand reveals new motor ‘to rival iconic Land Rover model'… and it's coming to UK in months
A LITTLE known car brand has revealed a new motor that will rival an iconic Land Rover model and it's coming to the UK in just months. The premium hybrid off-roader will be part of the manufacturers new line-up as it prepares to break into UK markets. 4 4 In a direct challenge to the Land Rover Defender, Denza are bringing their new BYD Denza B5 to the UK. With competitive off-road stats and levels of power only seen in supercars, the B5 is a premium plug-in hybrid 4x4. It was launched in China last year as the Bao 5 and is one of three new models from BYD's SUV sub-brand Fangchengbao. But it's likely to be named Denza in the UK and positioned as a sibling to the Z9 GT which will also be hitting UK markets next year. Denza is a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz and was founded in 2010 but it's wholly owned by the Chinese company. The motor will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week ahead of the 4x4 hitting the market in early 2026. The company's president, Stella Li, told Autocar last year that she predicted the SUVs"will be very popular in the UK". She said: 'In the UK, the roads are narrow but we love these big SUV off-road cars, so Fangchengbao will be here." BYD has so far been absent in the large premium SUVs sector which is highly popular. No specification details have been released for the new B5, but is expected to largely resemble the car in China. It uses a "DMO Super Hybrid Off-Road" ladder-frame platform and its power comes from a plug-in hybrid system centre around a 1.5 litre turbo engine with an electric motor on each axle. It can reach 677bhp, more than any Defender, including the V8 Octa. It's considerable battery can supposedly reach a range of up to 78 miles but that's likely to be around 50 miles in practice. The B5 is part of BYD's effort to increase its hybrid car offering against a backdrop of wavering EV uptake in Europe. Eight new laws hitting drivers from July 1 including 'touch' rule where you can face jail over where you place hands The core BYD line-up is also set to see a new arrival next year with the Seal 06, a plug-in hybrid in the mould of the BMW 3 Series. The B5 announcement comes as The Sun reported in April that Denza was readying its stylish Denza Z9 GT. It will launch in Europe this year, with a UK launch expected for 2026. The luxury estate, which is looking to break into the same market occupied by the Porsche Panamera and Porsche Taycan, was designed by former Audi and Alfa Romeo designer Wolfgang Egger. The Sun also reported in March that BYD is readying a low-cost, pint-sized hatchback called the Dolphin Surf which is to be launched in the UK later this year. BYD is hoping to compete with the likes of Dacia and Fiat with the new release - which will be one of the cheapest available to buy from new. The upcoming release comes as BYD looks to establish itself as a major player in the global car market - with the lofty goal of becoming the world's largest car maker. The UK is seen as a key market for its success, with BYD's brand awareness increasing from 1% at the start of 2024 to 31% by the end of the year. 4 4

Fiat Panda 4x4 is back: Could it be another Italian legend?
More than 40 years after the Panda 4x4 launched and quickly became an Italian legend, it looks likely the intrepid little off-roader will be making a return to our roads. Fiat has unveiled its new Grande Panda 4x4 concept that's a 'direct heir of the Panda 4x4 of the '80s', although the Italian car maker is being rather coy about the finer details. Hailed by Fiat as 'the next chapter in the legacy of the Italian brand' the Grande Panda 4x4 has an exterior design that references both the Panda 4x4 of old and the new Grande Panda which marks a return to Fiat's retro roots. If the Panda 4x4 does go into production it will be the first Stellantis (the owner of Fiat) four-wheel drive model to be based on its 'Smart Car' platform that the Citroen C3 and Vauxhall Frontera already use. There's no timeline as to when the Panda 4x4 would go into production or how much it will cost, but head of Fiat for Europe, Gaetano Thorel, told press at the unveiling: 'We knew everyone would love it, we have to do it.' The 2025 Grande Panda starts at £18,025 for the hybrid – which combines a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 21kW e-motor - and £21,000 for the EV, so it's likely the 4x4 would start from somewhere around there. If it does actually arrive that is... The original Panda 4x4 was designed for Italians that lived in the most rural and least accessible parts of Italy or frequently journeyed there. Keeping this in mind, Fiat says the new Panda will be 'a symbol of versatility, reliability and freedom on four wheels' and will come with an electrified innovative rear axle that will 'enable the vehicle to deliver impressive performance in urban settings and on more demanding terrain'. The rear axle is the only electric confirmation we've had so far, but Fiat boss Thorel seemed to reject the idea of it being fully electric, telling Auto Express: 'To me, the 4x4 is meant to be at 2000 metres above sea level, in winter. As far as I remember, batteries in winter are not really too comfortable...' The original car could scramble up a hillside and provided extraordinary performance on the toughest terrains, and it did so at an affordable price which is why over three generations Fiat sold around 800,000 Panda 4x4s. It also looked brilliant, and perfected the small on the outside but cleverly spacious on the inside trick. The original Panda 4x4 was designed for Italians that lived in the most rural and least accessible parts of Italy or frequently journeyed there. It could cross deserts, mountains and rivers Fiat's Panda is back for a fourth generation in 2025 and is available as a hybrid or EV. Prices will start from under £19k Building on the 'box on wheels' updated looks of the Grande Panda, the 4x4 concept is beefed up for tricky terrain with a jacked-up ride height, and some seriously cool fitted steel wheels, as well as beige details and bolted on roof rack lamps. The interior has a brown look to give it a vintage feel as well as an outdoor element to the cabin. The Dark red concept paint with black bumpers makes it stand out from the crowd. The original Fiat Panda and the 4x4 Over three generations the Panda became an institution of Italy. Over 280,000 were sold in the UK alone and almost every village and town in Italy had Panda 4x4s dotted around its streets. Italy's version of the Renault 4 or Citroen 2CV, it could haul around five passengers and luggage while being fuel efficient and cheap to buy. It's always been a cheerful car which is both conventional and ingenious, but the 4x4 built on that and made this much-loved car ready for any adventure. Beaten by the Dacia Duster to the prize of the cheapest 4x4 in the UK in 2012, the third generation was sold until 2023 which saw a limited edition 4x40 model come in to celebrate four decades of the small SUV's history.
