Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese have built one of the biggest rivalries in women's sports, and WNBA legend Cheryl Miller believes it mirrors the iconic rivalry between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

Similar to Magic and Bird, the rivalry between Clark and Reese began during the 2023 women's national championship, when Reese's LSU Tigers defeated Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes. But Clark got her revenge a year later in the 2024 Elite Eight.
Fast forward to their WNBA careers, both stars have found early success, earning spots on the 2024 All-Star team. However, Clark may have edged out Reese in their rookie campaigns by winning Rookie of the Year and earning All-WNBA honors.

On Friday, Miller joined Candace Parker on the latest episode of "All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson." The trio discussed the growing rivalry between Clark and Reese, with Miller doubling down on her comparison to the legendary Magic-Bird rivalry.

"Well, the reason I do it is, and just because I'm old school, you had Magic and Larry, who competed in college, but it has championships," Miller said. "So, Magic won. Larry didn't. It's kind of like the same thing, a little, with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. But the difference is, with the men, it's a rivalry, and it's great theater."
Miller went on to address the contrasting narratives between men's and women's sports, admitting that the way Clark and Reese's rivalry is portrayed bothers her.
"The narrative is always different with the women," Miller added. "We're either petty, or jealous, envious. You know, we can't just be... Or two people who just generally don't like you, and that's OK. I don't have to like you. I respect your game and everything else. But we don't have to be kumbaya. But it's the narrative by the media that bothers me."
So far in the WNBA, Clark holds the head-to-head record at 4-1. The Fever and Sky will meet three more times in the 2025 season, with the next matchup on July 27.

New York Giants training camp: Top 5 plays from Week 2

The New York Giants are through two weeks of training camp and will begin preparing for the preseason next week. First up is the Buffalo Bills, who host Big Blue on Saturday afternoon. But before looking ahead, we'll take a moment to look back at the week that was. Here's a look at the top five plays of the week. 5. Moonball Wide receiver Malik Nabers makes so many highlight catches that this one just seems routine. But it really wasn't. Nabers went up and high-pointed a moonball from quarterback Russell Wilson for a 50-yard gain. 4. Dart dot Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receiver Montrell Washington linked up several times in Week 2, and a few of those plays warrant a spot on this list. However, the ball placement on one of their Thursday connections was elite. 3. One-handed snag Cornerback Art Green opened the second week of training camp practice with a dazzler, intercepting veteran quarterback Jameis Winston using only one hand. The player/fan reaction tells the story. 2. Unblockable There is not a single practice that goes by in which rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter doesn't stand out. He's an unstoppable, unblockable force, and the offensive line learned that once again in Week 2. At first glance, this play seems unremarkable. But the more you watch it, the more remarkable it becomes. 1. Wild Wan'Dale Wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson made a circus catch during practice on Saturday, hauling in an underthrown ball from quarterback Russell Wilson that cornerback Dru Phillips had made a good play on. Sometimes the ball just bounces the right way. Literally. This article originally appeared on Giants Wire: Giants training camp: Top 5 plays from Week 2

Lions hope to get Terrion Arnold back this week

Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold left practice with a hamstring injury last week and he'll miss a little more time before he's ready to return to action. Head coach Dan Campbell said in a Sunday press conference that Arnold avoided a significant injury and that the team is bringing him back slowly to make sure that it doesn't develop into something more serious. "He'll be down for a little bit," Campbell said. "It's not a major hamstring. This is a low-grade, but we're trying to be smart with it. We're hoping to have him back by the middle of the week." Campbell also said that left tackle Taylor Decker will take part in individual work at Sunday's practice. Decker has been on the physically unable to prepare list since the start of camp due to a shoulder issue. While Decker is going to be on the field, reserve tackle Dan Skipper is set to miss about a week with an ankle injury.

Lions sign veteran offensive tackle, waive Raequan Williams

The Lions have made their first roster move following the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Detroit has signed veteran offensive lineman Justin Herron and released defensive lineman Raequan Williams. Herron, 29, has been around the NFL since 2020, when he was a sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots. He played collegiately at Wake Forest and quickly took over the starting left tackle role in New England as a rookie, but has started just four games in the subsequent four seasons. Herron missed the 2024 season with an injury while a member of the New Orleans Saints. He's also played for the Raiders. Williams had signed with the Lions this spring after a successful tryout at the rookie minicamp. The former Michigan State tackle had not progressed up the depth chart in his quest to get back into the NFL. Per team sources, Herron will take over Williams' No. 76 on the roster. The move comes in the wake of Dan Skipper suffering a sprained left ankle in the exhibition opener. Skipper will miss some practice time. Starting left tackle Taylor Decker is starting positional drills in Sunday's practice.
