WWE superstar Chelsea Green has revealed how she stood her ground to make sure her biggest night ended the right way.
The 34-year-old wrestler is one of the big names showcased in Netflix's new WWE Unreal docu-series, and in one episode viewers will see the debate surrounding the crowing of the first ever Women's United States Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event.
Chelsea was set to win the historic match in December 2024, but the documentary shows how producers – who help wrestlers plan their matches – wanted her to win with a top rope leg drop.
However, she star pushed back, insisting she should get her big moment by using her signature Unprettier move.
She exclusively told Metro: 'I literally did a leg drop and peed my pants while we were rehearsing it. But that – I'm not doing that in front of my friends, my family, my fans, everyone watching, you know?

'I wanted to use the move that I have used since my very first wrestling match.'
Speaking up like that is out of character for Chelsea, as normally she's happy to 'run the play' and do whatever she's told.
'Honestly, no, I don't speak up that often. I usually just like to run the play. Whatever they want to do,' she admitted. 'However, there are certain moments in my career where I am willing to die on that hill, and that was one of them.
'This could quite possibly be the tippy top of my career, and I'm not going out doing someone else's finisher or doing a move I don't feel comfortable with!'
It meant a lot to Chelsea, but the consummate professional insisted she would 'never' have gone off script if her bosses had decided otherwise.
'I've never been one of those people to call an audible because unless something goes wrong in the ring, I feel like it's taking advantage,' she explained.
'I never want to take advantage of my coworkers. I never want to take advantage of my producers. They trust me.'
As Unreal shows, there are a lot of moving parts to WWE, and anything can go wrong. Recently, Chelsea was accidentally counted out during a match on SmackDown, and she's admitted it was her fault.
'If I do something wrong, I come back and I immediately put my hands up, 'I messed up', and that's what I did in that moment,' she recalled.
'I stayed in character, and the minute I got to [Gorilla Position, backstage], it's like, 'I am so sorry I messed up. That was on me. I was out there not paying attention.' The referee was doing his job. I cannot fault anyone for that!'
Mistakes like that are part of wrestling, and it didn't hurt Chelsea's standing as weeks later she found herself facing Hall of Famer Nikki Bella in her first match since 2018.
'It's nerve wracking because we've been waiting for this for years,' she said. 'We have been dying to see Nikki Bella make this beautiful comeback after a neck surgery, and after being the longest reigning Divas Champion. There was just so much riding on it.'
It was a lot for Chelsea too, who had been pitching to face Nikki at WrestleMania earlier this year, but ended up missing out on the show altogether.
'Maybe this is big headed of me to say, but I think most of us wanted to see the [Women's] US title at WrestleMania in a match,' she shrugged.
'I pushed a lot for that title to be on WrestleMania. But unfortunately, we have so much talent, we have so many titles, we only have a certain amount of hours [the roster] can wrestle.'
Her moment with Nikki came after Liv Morgan's unfortunate injury forced WWE into a scramble for creative changes, the likes of which are seen playing out in WWE Unreal.
'I never wanted to see Liv go down the way she did, but when that happened, that did allow me to step in and fill that place,' she pointed out. 'I can hang with the best of them, and Nikki Bella is the best of them.'
Chelsea feels like she's being listened to backstage, after years of 'constantly pitching absolutely ridiculous ideas'.
'They really have taken a lot of my suggestions to heart. And it may not go to TV exactly how I pitched it,' she admitted. 'But it goes to TV in one way or another.' More Trending
Now, she's excited for WWE Unreal to show everyone the truth about her position in the company.
'I don't hold back. I've always been very upfront and honest with my life, with my marriage, with building my home, being released, coming back,' she said.
'For me, pulling the curtain back on who I truly am and how I work at WWE didn't feel all that crazy.'

How Bannon's alleged 'Epstein tapes' could be made public

As journalists and internet sleuths pour over details of the life of disgraced financier and convicted sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein , more details are emerging over the mysterious tapes of an series of interviews with former President Donald Trump 's campaign chief and White House advisor Steve Bannon . The details of the video interview were revealed by author Michael Wolff in 2021, who said that Bannon emerged as a kind of media coach for Epstein and captured interview footage he claimed was 'training' for the disgraced luminary who was looking for a comeback. Bannon reportedly recorded more than 15 hours of video, Wolff revealed, even as he disputed that he was acting as a media coach for Epstein and instead working on a documentary. Wolff said he obtained transcripts of the Bannon interviews of Epstein for his book, 'Too Famous: The Rich, the Powerful, the Wishful, the Notorious, the Damned.' Now Wolff is sharing further details of the transcripts and the tapes, which he says were recorded in Epstein's massive Manhattan townhouse. 'There's no question the tapes were media training,' he told The Hollywood Reporter. 'And there's no possible way Epstein would have signed off on them being used in a documentary.' The tapes could someday be released as part of an Epstein documentary that Bannon says he is working on. In March, Bannon told comedian Jimmy Dore on his show that he was working on a 'multi-part' documentary series for Netflix or some other video platform. 'The working title is 'The Monster,'' Bannon said, teasing that it would be 'pretty shocking about how this guy came from nowhere to the absolute highest level of the global elite.' 'It's a project I'm working on with my filmmaking team,' he said. Bannon said the enterprise was work in progress and that it would focus on the Epstein's mysterious case. 'I don't think there was any doubt he was taken out, I think he was murdered or executed however you want to say, I have no belief that he killed himself,' Bannon said. Wolff said that Bannon and Epstein frequently spoke and exchanged emails and spent time together in New York City at his apartment. For years now, the internet has buzzed about the existence of the Epstein tapes in Bannon's possession and what it could reveal about his motivations prior to his July 2019 arrest and subsequent prosecution. Political strategist Roger Stone has repeatedly called for Bannon to release the tapes. 'Steve has evidently done a documentary about him. I'd like to see that documentary,' Stone said in an interview with Benny Johnson of The Benny Show. 'Steve should release that audio and video immediately.' If Congress gets involved, they could potentially release a subpoena to force Bannon to release the tapes. Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna also encouraged Bannon to release the footage. 'I'd be very interested in seeing that footage and I think the American people would be too,' she said at a Turning Point USA summit of conservative activists in July. Wolff speculated that Bannon might not have the rights to the footage, which is why it had not been released. Bannon did not respond to a Daily Mail request for comment, but continues pressing the truth about the Epstein files, blaming Attorney General Pam Bondi for messing up the administration's handling of the case. Bannon has also warned that the Republican party would pay dearly politically if they did not release the truth about Epstein. 'For this to go away, you're going to lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement. If we lose 10 percent of the MAGA movement right now, we're going to lose 40 seats in (the midterms), we're going to lose the presidency,' he told activists gathered at the Turning Point USA summit. The future of Bannon's documentary remains unclear as the level of interest surrounding Epstein has reached fever-pitch after the Justice Department released a memo stating there was no record of a 'client list' in the Epstein files and no evidence of foul play in Epstein's death. In 2021, Bannon teased a section of the interview where Epstein says he is a supporter of the Time's Up movement, where women campaigned against sexual harassment. 'I made my living from old thinking. But the future is for the way women think,' he told Bannon.

Everything was so beautiful: Jenna Ortega on filming Wednesday in Ireland

Jenna Ortega has praised the kindness of the Irish people and the beauty of the landscape after filming the second season of the Netflix hit Wednesday in the country. The 22-year-old American actress, who reprises her role as Wednesday Addams, the morbid, sharp-witted teenager with psychic powers, said she had never visited the island before working on the new season. Advertisement The new season sees Wednesday return to the halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. Directed once again by Tim Burton, the latest instalment of the gothic hit welcomes a number of new cast members to the team including Dame Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, the new principal of Nevermore, and Billie Piper as Isadora Capri, the school's new head of music. Director Tim Burton with Wednesday star Jenna Ortega (Ian West/PA) While the first season was filmed in Romania, the latest instalment of the popular series was shot in various locations around Wicklow, Dublin and Offaly. 'I'd never been to Ireland and it was wonderful,' said Ortega. Advertisement 'My favourite thing was just how kind the people are, but also the countryside was really nice. I did my best to see as much of the island as I could while I was there. I went north, south, east, west, I went all over. I'm pretty proud of myself.' According to Tourism Ireland, some of the locations used to shoot the new series include Charleville Castle in Co Offaly, Dean's Grange Cemetery in Co Dublin and Ashford Studios in Co Wicklow. Lumley, 79, said: 'I was pretty thrilled, because having filmed there a few times, in Ardmore studios, I didn't know there was a studio even further south of that, and then to come to Ashford Studios was marvellous. 'There's something in Ireland which is slightly otherworldly and it embraced the whole feeling of Wednesday.' Advertisement Dame Joanna Lumley is joining the cast of Wednesday for its second season (James Manning/PA) Buscemi, 67, famous for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and The Sopranos, said he enjoyed the Guinness. 'I was surprised at how much Guinness I could actually drink every day, never while shooting,' he joked. 'It was so lovely shooting there. The people are amazing.' Ortega added: 'Everything about Ireland was so beautiful and we had such a hard-working crew, and people who really just gave it their all, and were so skilled. Advertisement 'But the only real challenge we had was fighting the green. It was so green there and it was so bright for the show. Suddenly the Addams looked alive.' Wednesday season two, which sees Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones continuing to play Morticia Addams, comes out on Netflix on August 6 with a first part and a second part coming on September 3. Created by cartoonist Charles Addams, the macabre family have inspired a 1960s TV show, and 1990s films starring Anjelica Huston and Christina Ricci, who also appeared in Wednesday season one as a teacher.
