Neighbours filming wraps on Ramsay Street for the last time
The fictional cul-de-sac has been at the centre of the drama for over 40 years, but today the cameras stopped rolling on the real life location that doubles as the famous homes.
Cast and crew gathered on Pin Oak Court in Vermont South, which is occupied by real residents who allow their houses to be used for exterior shots, for what is likely to be the final time.
This comes following Amazon Prime Video's decision to pull the plug earlier this year, just two years on from announcing that they were reviving the Australian soap.
Executive producer Jason Herbison, who has overseen the show in both its formats over many years, still has hope that it can have a future.
In a statement he said: 'Audiences all around the world have loved and embraced Neighbours for four decades and we are very proud of the huge success over the last two years including often appearing as one of the top 10 titles in the UK and the show's first ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Daytime Series in 2024.
'As this chapter closes, we appreciate and thank Amazon MGM Studios for all that they have done for Neighbours – bringing this iconic and much-loved series to new audiences globally.'
Metro understands that the last ever scenes from the serial's production base in Nunawading will be recorded on Friday, July 11 – one week today. https://www.instagram.com/p/DLqd5AiTtXm/?igsh=NjFwMnc4bWZnNnVv
On Instagram, show legend Annie Jones, who first appeared as Jane Harris in 1986, shared a photo of her in a car with Hannah Monson, who has played Nicolette Stone since the revival.
'On our way to Ramsay St for the LAST time,' she wrote.
Sara West, who joined as Cara Varga-Murphy in 2023, uploaded a similar picture with co-stars Naomi Rukavina and Riley Bryant, who play Cara's wife Remi and their son JJ.
She cheekily edited Marley Williams, who plays their younger son Dex into the snap, writing: 'Last ride down to Ramsay St.' More Trending
Meanwhile, show icon Rebekah Elmaloglou was stood at the bottom of a gloomy Pin Oak Court, adding: 'Farewell Ramsay Street!' to her emotional shot.

The site has become somewhat of a tourist destination over the last four decades, with fans from around the world – including myself – making the pilgrimage.
Those who live in the court are bound by a contract that means they're not allowed to do any cosmetic work to their properties without permission from producers. Now that cameras have stopped rolling, that could soon change.

Dua Lipa puts on a very risqué display in a black mesh dress as she continues lavish holiday in Europe
Dua Lipa put on a racy display as she shared a a carousel of pictures to social media while on holiday in Spain on Saturday. The pop superstar, 29, is currently soaking up the sun on a European getaway with her newly-confirmed fiancé, British actor Callum Turner. In her latest Instagram photo dump, the singer gave fans a peek into her sun-soaked travels. Dua made a bold statement in a black lace maxi dress that hugged her jaw-dropping figure. The singer, who is a keen dancer and enjoys yoga and resistance training, showed off her enviable figure in the gorgeous ensemble. The see-through dress revealed Dua's matching underwear underneath, which she rocked with complete confidence. Dua puffed on a cigarette while boasting a dewy glow as she dazzled for the stunning pictures and referencing the door number above her in the pictures, captioning the post: 'My lucky 22 that follows me everywhere'. Fans flocked to her comment section to praise the brunette beauty on her incredible pictures with one writing: 'A truly ICON!!!!' whilst another said 'so cute and beautiful'. It comes as Dua has also been quietly rocking a giant sparkler on her finger for months, but only confirmed her engagement to Callum in a recent Vogue interview. The hitmaker admitted she never saw herself as the marrying type, saying: 'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be.' It comes after some fans have been poking fun at the pop star's jet set lifestyle. The singer who is with the The Boys in the Boat actor Callum Turner, 35, often shares her glamorous vacations with her followers and shows the tow of them traveling the world. Despite currently being in Spain, most recently, the pair headed to Italy, where they were spotted soaking up the sun on a stunning beach. But by documenting her lavish trips online, some users have cracked jokes about her nonstop traveling. Many have even wondered where she and Callum would go for their honeymoon since the couple had already been 'everywhere.' Some even joked that she might take it to the next extreme and head to space. Taking to X they wrote: 'This girl has already traveled all over the world, where are they going for their honeymoon to make it memorable? Mars?' 'Their honeymoon is gonna be three years long', 'For their honeymoon, they will discover Atlantis', 'LMAO right?!? Girl has literally been EVERYWHERE' 'Pre-honeymoon in Mount Everest, main honeymoon on Mars, [and] post-honeymoon in Titanic wreckage'. Dua is well-aware of the travel jokes and previously made a statement about it with British Vogue. 'I'm not always on holiday, I just make everything I do feel like a holiday,' she told the outlet last month. Elsewhere in the interview, Dua discussed her family plans, saying she's concerned about how having children will fit in with her career as a pop star. 'I'd love to have kids one day,' she said. 'But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take. 'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.' Confirming her engagement to Callum, Dua said: 'Yeah, we're engaged. It's very exciting. 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever - it's a really special feeling.'

Ronaldo's sister explains Jota funeral no-show in staunch defence of brother
Cristiano Ronaldo did not to attend Diogo Jota's funeral on Saturday and his sister, Katia Aveiro, has hit back at criticism of her brother's decision on social media Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, has responded to criticism of her brother's decision not to attend Diogo Jota's funeral. Jota and his brother Andre tragically died in a car crash on Thursday and their funerals were held on Saturday. A number of Jota's teammates attended the service in Gondomar, near Porto, but Portugal captain Ronaldo decided not to make the journey as he was wary that his presence could overshadow the funeral. Ronaldo did receive some criticism over his decision and his sister has hit back in a series of posts on Instagram. On her story, Katia wrote: "When my father died. In addition to the pain of loss we had to deal with a flood of cameras and curious onlookers at the cemetery and everywhere we went. "And attention was not what it is today in terms of access... At no time were we (the children) able to leave the chapel; it was only possible at the time of the burial, such was the commotion. "At the funeral, there were presidents, coaches of the national team at the time, such as Luís Filipe Scolari, etc. I don't remember seeing any of them. And they certainly greeted me. The pain blinded me. "About pain/family and real support... You will never know what it means until you go through it. If someone sends me a message criticising anything my brother does, I will block it (completely ignore it), that is, they will only do it once. "It's getting tiring. The fanaticism. The criticism for nothing, I repeat nothing... Sick society... We all have families. "It is absurdly shameful to watch TV channels/commentators/social networks emphasising an absence (wise) rather than respectfully honouring the pain of a mutilated family destroyed by the loss of two brothers. I am even ashamed to watch. Regrettable. "And so the world goes... Society and opinion. Today they are worthless. They themselves have become bottomless pits. I feel sorry... And war is also like that. Believe me. Human evil is also a war. And every day we have to fight against it. And so it goes." Ronaldo did share an emotional tribute to Jota on social media, writing: "It doesn't make sense. We were just together in the national team, and you had just gotten married. To your family, your wife and your children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. "I know you will always be with them. Rest in peace, Diogo and Andre. We will all miss you."
