In the video, the IndiGo pilot is seen urging the passengers not to create chaos, maintain peace, and remain seated.
The woman pilot also said: 'Let's talk, but please sit down. We will not close the door till you are satisfied, but please sit down. Let us clarify all the doubts.'
An air hostess can be seen folding her hands to request a passenger to take his seat as he protests the delay.
She said: 'All the tests on the aircraft have been completed.'
Accoording to media reports, flight passengers expressed frustration at the lack of transparency and communication from the airline during their ordeal.
After thetechnical testing was completed, the flight carrying 176 passengers took off from Mumbai.
The Mumbai-Varanasi flight, 6E 5028, took off at 9.53 PM, after over two hours of its scheduled departure at 7:30 PM, according to plane tracker flightradar24.
IndiGo has not yet issued an official statement on the issue.
An email sent by Livemint.com to IndiGo remain unanswered at the time of publishing this story.
The incident has once again raised questions about communication protocols during the flight delays and the technical issues emerging during the flight.
Recently, IndiGo's Ahmedabad-Diu flight carrying around 50 passengers and crew members had aborted take-off due to technical snag.
As per the schedule, the flight was supposed to depart around 11.15 AM on Wednesday from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
The aircraft was in the take-off roll phase when the pilot decided to stop it on the runway.
"A technical snag indication was noticed just before the take-off on IndiGo flight 6E7966 operating from Ahmedabad to Diu on July 23," IndiGo had said in a statement.
On July 21, an IndiGo flight from Goa with 140 passengers on board made an emergency landing at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Madhya Pradesh's Indore due to a landing gear issue.

The crew can be seen requesting passengers to be seated patiently while the ground staff completed the checks for the aircraft. At one point, the airhostess says that filming inside the aircraft was not allowed. However, the passengers retort saying that recording the video was important, and citing safety concerns in the aircraft. The flight, carrying 176 passengers, was facing technical snag. According to flightradar24, the flight 6E 5028 took off from the Mumbai airport at 9.53 pm, over two hours after its departure time. It landed in Varanasi at 11.40 pm. 'Your flight has not taken off for the past hour, aircraft making sounds and you are telling us that shooting a video is not allowed?' a passenger questioned. Another asked, 'Does our life have no value?' Following this, the airhostess folds her hands and tells the fliers that all checks on the aircraft had been completed. A Diu-bound IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad carrying around 50 passengers and crew members aborted take-off at the last minute on Wednesday (June 23, 2025) due to a technical issue, sources said. The aircraft was in the take-off roll phase when the pilot decided to stop it on the runway. "A technical snag indication was noticed just before the take-off on IndiGo flight 6E7966 operating from Ahmedabad to Diu on July 23," IndiGo said in a statement. Following the standard operating procedure, the pilots informed the authorities and returned the aircraft to bay, it said. The aircraft will undergo necessary checks and maintenance before resuming operations, it said. The airline also said it will accommodate the passengers in the next available flight or will provide a full refund against cancellation, as per their preference. An airport official said the IndiGo flight was cancelled due to some technical issues. "When the aircraft began its take-off roll, the pilots took a decision to stop it due to some technical reasons," a source said. All the 50-odd passengers and crew members are safe, he said. This is the third incident involving an IndiGo aircraft in the last few days. On July 21, an IndiGo flight from Goa with 140 passengers on board made an emergency landing at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Madhya Pradesh's Indore due to a landing gear issue. Prior to that on July 17, a Goa-bound IndiGo flight from Delhi made an emergency landing in Mumbai after being diverted to it due to a mid-air engine failure. The flight was being operated with an Airbus A320neo aircraft. On June 12, an Air India flight to London Gatwick crashed within seconds of its take-off from the Ahmedabad airport, killing 241 of the 242 passengers and crew members on board and 19 persons on ground.
