Elite WR commit Kohen Brown shuts down recruitment, sticking with Texas
A few days after his commitment, Brown canceled official visits to Notre Dame and Ole Miss. On Saturday, Brown let it be known that he isn't taking any more visits as he has shut down his recruitment and will remain with Texas.

Brown was once committed to USC. However, after he decommitted in May, Texas made him an offer six days later. In less than a month he took an official visit to Austin and that's all it took to get his commitment.
The Longhorns have the No. 18 recruiting class at the moment per 247Sports with Brown still on board. They hosted a ton of prospects this weekend as well, so their ranking could improve soon.

The 24-year-old center forward scored twice for Botafogo at the tournament taking place in the United States, including the decider against Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain. Advertisement Igor Jesus joined Botafogo from UAE team Shabab Al Ahli in July 2024 and and his impressive domestic form earned him a first call-up by Brazil for World Cup qualifiers in October and November. He scored on his debut, against Chile. 'I'm really happy to be a part of this new story, especially at a club like Nottingham Forest," Igor Jesus said. 'I didn't have to think twice about the offer, I embraced it. I embraced the project that they sent me. I am delighted to be coming here and hope to do some great work." 'Heartbroken' Texans pledge $500K to aid Texas Hill Country communities after devastating floods
The Houston Texans announced on Saturday that the organization is donating $500,000 to help support those affected by the devastating floods that hit the Texas Hill Country this week. "We are heartbroken by the loss and damage that our neighbors in the Texas Hill Country have endured. We are especially devastated to hear about the children who are still missing and we are praying they are reunited with their families soon. Our hearts will remain with everyone affected and in addition to our donation, we will continue to support the search, rescue and recovery efforts in the coming weeks." A storm swept through the area, killing at least 27 people, including nine children. Officials said that 23 to 25 girls from a summer camp in Hunt, Texas were still unaccounted for and that approximately 850 people have been rescued so far. Advertisement 'The camp was completely destroyed,' said 13-year-old Elinor Lester, who was one of the campers at Camp Mystic. 'A helicopter landed and started taking people away. It was really scary.' Fast-moving waters rose to 26 feet along the Guadalupe River in less than an hour on Friday morning. Heavy rains are forecasted for Saturday with flash flood warnings and watches remaining in effect for parts of central Texas. Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman, who spent the first nine seasons of his MLB career with the Houston Astros, has posted several times on X since Friday with photos and contact information for those still missing.

Turner could readily slot into Lopez's role as a defensive-minded, floor-spacing big. As per Shams, the Bucks wouldn't have had the means to secure Turner without letting go of Lillard. Even though the Bucks still owe Lillard about $22.5 million annually for the next five years starting in 2025-26, it's a far smaller cap hit than if his full salary remained on the books.
