Markapuram: Deputy chief minister and

chief
Pawan Kalyan
said the
NDA
would ensure that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) does not return to power in Andhra Pradesh and that the people's interests would be fully protected.
He alleged that the YSRCP had ruined the state during its five-year rule and claimed that people no longer trust the party.
Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for a drinking water scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the Markapuram constituency on Friday. Addressing the public gathering, he reiterated that chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu alone has the capability to rescue the state from crisis and put it back on the development track.
In a strong response to reported remarks by YSRCP leaders that they would take NDA leaders to task, Pawan Kalyan said the ruling alliance would work together to ensure YSRCP never returns to power. "The YSRCP leaders are issuing ultimatums, claiming they will see our end after returning to power in the 2029 elections. We are committed to making sure they never return to power—not just in 2029," asserted Pawan.
He stated that the NDA had never humiliated individuals or parties, even in defeat.

Referring to his personal electoral loss in both constituencies he contested, Pawan said he still held the YSRCP leadership accountable for its anti-people policies. He stressed that opposition parties have every right to question the government on governance issues. "Unfortunately, YSRCP leaders are issuing threats to ruling party leaders, cadres, and even the public.
We will not tolerate such behaviour," he said.
He acknowledged some coordination issues among NDA leaders at the grassroots level but said these would be resolved. "CM Chandrababu Naidu and I have a clear understanding of our roles and limitations. We will continue working in harmony, and grassroots leaders must also align with this understanding," he said.
Pawan Kalyan criticized the previous YSRCP government for ignoring public concerns. He highlighted that the new drinking water project for Prakasam district, worth Rs 1,290 crore, was secured under JJM, despite the Centre initially deciding to discontinue the scheme.
He said he and CM Naidu met Union Jal Shakti minister CR Patil and requested the continuation of JJM, which the previous government had not utilised properly.
He estimated that around Rs 84,000 crore would be needed to complete all ongoing drinking water projects across the state and blamed the previous administration for failing to secure central funds. He promised to personally monitor the implementation of the JJM and ensure its completion within 18–24 months.
Pawan Kalyan also accused YSRCP leaders of encroaching on temple lands, stating such actions would not be allowed. Ministers Dr D B S Swamy, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy, and senior officials were present at the event.

YSRCP calls for recall of CM over unfulfilled promises

Rajamahendravaram: YSRCP has intensified its campaign to recall Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, accusing his government of failing to implement election promises. Party State official spokesperson and former MP Margani Bharat Ram urged party leaders and cadres to strongly propagate this call, initiated by their chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, among the public. Speaking at an extensive meeting of the city party at Margani Estate's city office on Sunday, Bharat Ram alleged that Naidu has once again deceived the public with false promises in 2024 elections. 'Giving promises and failing to fulfill them is not new for Chandrababu Naidu,' Bharat Ram stated. He criticised Naidu for abandoning 'Job Kavali Ante Babu Ravali' (If you want a job, Babu should come) slogan from 2014 elections. He further highlighted that the current government has failed to deliver on numerous assurances, including the 'Super Six' promises. He contrasted this with the previous YSRCP government, asserting that Jagan Mohan Reddy implemented numerous welfare schemes from 2019 to 2024, unlike anywhere else in the country. Bharat Ram accused the current government of not only failing to deliver on its election promises but also of selectively choosing beneficiaries for existing schemes based on party affiliation. He claimed that no other government in the country has garnered such significant public opposition within just one year. Bharat Ram urged party workers to strive for victory in every upcoming election, particularly ensuring a YSRCP win in Rajahmundry. Rajahmundry party observer Thippala Gurumurthy Reddy and East Godavari district president and former Minister Chelluboina Srinivasa Venugopala Krishna, who participated as chief guests, also spoke at the event. They credited Jagan Mohan Reddy with truly defining welfare through his schemes. They advised cadres to complete a five-week program to educate the public at the grassroots level about the TDP's 'fake promises'. Leaders including BC Associations JAC leader Margani Nageswara Rao and Chandana Nageshwar also addressed the gathering. During the event, posters featuring a QR code for 'Babu Security Fraud Guarantee' campaign and Chandrababu Naidu's recall were unveiled.
