‘Sunny Deol travels like a king, has a truck full of gym equipment, cooks,' says Puneet Issar: ‘Don't think he asks the producer to pay'

Bollywood has been going through a rather low phase for the last couple of years with only a few films earning decent money at the box office and amid all of this, the conversation around a star's entourage cost has gained steam. It has been reported that the support staff of a film star ends up increasing the cost of the film and with such high budgets, the films are not able to recover their cost upon release. Sunny Deol, however, has been travelling with a giant entourage for years, as shared by actor Puneet Issar. Puneet shared an incident from the shoot of Border, which released in 1997, and said that even back then Sunny would travel 'like a king' and had a truck full of his stuff following him around. But, Puneet claimed that Sunny wasn't burdening his producer with the extra cost.
'Sunny raja aadmi hai. Voh jahan jaata hai raja ki tarah jata hai. Uska pura entourage chalta hai. Uske cooks bhi aayenge, badminton ka court bhi hoga, pura gym jayega. (Sunny is a king. He travels like a king. His entourage travels with him. His cooks also accompany him, his badminton court will also be there, the entire gym set up will also be with him),' Puneet shared in a chat with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel. When asked if he travels with a truck full of his supplies, Puneet said, 'He will ask you that I am travelling with all of this weight, if there is anything that you also want to carry so he can load it up as well.'
'Sunny is like king, like an emperor. That's the way Sunny Deol is,' he said.
When asked about the increased entourage cost that has been affecting films' budgets in the last few years, Puneet said that things were different back then and added, 'I don't think Sunny would put the bill on the producer. That's why I said, he is a king. Even Salman is like that. It's a requirement, it's a must for them, they need it, they have to workout.'

Puneet said that as far as having multiple people in the entourage is concerned, all the big stars in their heyday were always surrounded by many of their own people. He named actors like Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Dilip Kumar and said that they too, always had multiple people in their entourage.
Previously, in a chat with Humans of Cinema, director Anurag Kashyap said that a lot of money was being spent on 'paraphernalia' around the film. 'They are not spending the money on the film. People need to come back to this whole reality check. One thing people need to understand is that when we make a film, we're working, we're creating something. It's not a holiday, it's not a picnic. A lot of money that is spent doesn't go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia; it goes into the entourage. You're shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want. You don't get into the process of it,' he said.

Nargis Fakhri Reveals Her 9-Day Water Fasting Routine: ‘Face Glows, Jawline Pops'

Last Updated: Nargis Fakhri reveals her extreme 9-day water-only fast done twice a year. She calls it effective but not recommended, crediting it for her glow and jawline. Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri has sent shockwaves through the fitness and wellness world with her jaw-dropping revelation: she fasts for nine days straight on nothing but water—twice a year. In a candid conversation with Soha Ali Khan on Hauterrfly's YouTube channel, the Rockstar actress detailed her intense wellness ritual that left the host visibly stunned. 'I do fasting twice a year, no food at all, just water for nine days. It's very difficult," Nargis confessed. 'But once I'm done, I'm telling you, you look snatched. I mean, the jawline is out, the face is glowing. But I wouldn't recommend it." While the transformation sounds visually dramatic, Nargis was quick to clarify that wellness isn't about extreme measures. 'Everybody wants a quick fix, but there's no quick fix. It's always a combination of things," she said, advocating a more holistic approach. The secret to her sustained glow and fitness, she shared, lies in the basics: good sleep, proper hydration, and mindful eating. 'I sleep like eight hours a night. I also try to hydrate. Then also, my food choices. Like, I want foods that are nutritious and have vitamins and minerals in it," she added. Nargis recently returned to the spotlight with her appearance in Housefull 5, marking a much-anticipated comeback. She first broke onto the Bollywood scene with the 2011 cult hit Rockstar, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, and soon became a familiar face with her roles in Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Housefull 3, Dishoom, and the peppy dance number Dhating Naach with Shahid Kapoor. Though she hasn't announced her next cinematic project, fans are already buzzing about her return—not just for her on-screen presence, but for her bold take on beauty, wellness, and the no-shortcuts approach to feeling your best. Rishabh Pant Labels Rohit Sharma 'Jethani', Gautam Gambhir Can't Stop Laughing

Rishabh Pant made Gautam Gambhir burst into laughter by calling Rohit Sharma the 'Jethani' of the Indian team, Rishabh Pant made India head coach Gautam Gambhir burst out with laughter by picking Rohit Sharma as the 'Jethani' or the typical daily-soap sister-in-law of the Men in Blue dressing room during an appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Gambhir couldn't control himself at the wicketkeeper-batter's prompt response and suggested that he could take the name only because Rohit had taken retirement. Pant's answer was in response to host Kapil Sharma's question on who in the team took advantage of their seniority and had a bossy attitude towards players. 'In most families, there is a jethani (sister-in-law), who's calling all the shots. Who is such a player in the Indian team, someone who orders around, even if it was to take advantage of their seniority?" Kapil asked Pant. To which, the 'keeper replied: 'Rohit bhai is like that…. he can come out a bit strong!" The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter was sitting between teammates Abhishek Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal, who also couldn't control themselves. Rohit stunned many by announcing his retirement from Test cricket in May. His reveal came soon after reports came through claiming that he was to be removed from captaincy ahead of the five-Test tour of England, which is currently ongoing with India playing under Shubman Gill. While his loyal supporters expected Rohit to bounce back in England, the cricketer penned an emotional farewell note on an Instagram story post on May 7. 'Hello everyone I would just like to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. It's been an absolute honor to represent my country in whites. Thank you for all the love and support over the years. I will continue to represent India in the ODI format," Rohit wrote. Rohit, who had emerged as one of the best openers in the format since being asked to do the top-order duties in September 2019, had a drastic fall on his returns last season and had a disastrous final assignment as player and captain in the 3-1 loss at the hands of Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In his absence, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul have handled the job well, as India continue to compete at Edgbaston in the second Test after losing the first by five wickets at Headingley.
